Love this hotel. It’s stylish but not cheap looking. The lobby was welcoming and made you want to sit there and read a book. The pool and common areas were comfortable and inviting. I really loved the mats outside the hallways. I wonder if they sell them? I also like the location which is towards the end of the drive. All in all, a perfect stay at my favorite beach.

Very charming inn. We stayed here two nights on a week long trip to central California. Very convenient to Hearst Castle, Big Sur, San Simeon, elephant seal rookery and Cambria. Boardwalk is across a very quiet road where you can watch beautiful sunsets. Room was huge with a gas fireplace, King size bed and small kitchen area with sink and refrigerator too. Heated pool although we didn’t use. I am picky about hotels and this was a great find and the price was reasonable too.

Very clean, wonderful view. Down the street from Hearst Castle and Elephant seals. We actually moved from SLO to Cambria for the peacefulness. No regrets.

Cute property but fireplace and heat was not strong in room. Our room was cold even though heat was on high. Beautiful views of the ocean.

I love the bed, me and my husband is really amazed how comfortable their bed. We’ve been staying in hotels when we travel but this is the first time that we really had a comfortable bed, feels like our bed at home.

Outer doors to rooms need to be secured and they need to have better more efficient heaters in the room. Should automatically provide maid service so that we don’t have to request in advance. Room was spacious and nicely furnished and decorated.

Very comfortable but you can hear through the wall
Exceptionally comfortable beds, nice little gas fueled fireplace and coffee room in the morning. It would have been nicer if they had something small to eat in the morning like donuts or bagels. Walls are thin as you can hear your neighbors converse in normal levels of speech

This property is amazing. Just across the street from the ocean with it's boardwalk. The fireplace in the room is a nice added touch. Already making plans to return.

This was my second time staying at the Fireside Inn. First time was late 2020, and we were one of the few people visiting. This past weekend’s trip was different. Very busy. Very loud. The rooms are NOT sound proof at all. Both nights and early mornings we could hear our neighbors. I had to sleep with white noise one to get to sleep. It was, also, very cold. No heater in the room. Not sure lll stay here again. It’s a lovely looking inn. Newly updated rooms. But the incessant noise issues with the room next door was a real problem.

Your beds and rooms were very comfortable. However the hotel could do with some pick me up. Carpets were worn out . The rooms with fireplace, the beds were excellent

Right across Pacific Coast Highway to the ocean, it's such a wonderful location. We walked to Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill, which was casual, friendly and the food was amazing. The fireplace in our room fired up with the flick of a switch, looked and felt exactly like a log fire and made our room cosy and romantic in minutes. What a gem of a place.

Liked the location. Did not like the fact that breakfast buffet was discontinued and the room did not have a microwave or table available for in room eating. For the price we paid, we expected breakfast as we had received in the past. The Covid "excuse" doesn't cut it anymore.
