This is such a wonderful hotel — amazing views of Cali’s skyline, incredible breakfast options offered daily, and kind staff from housekeeping to front desk to the restaurant. I came here to write and was appreciative of the desk set up in the room and the natural light from the balcony. Can’t wait to be back in Cali, la capital de la salsa!

My friends and I stayed at the Faranda Cali on a friends trip to Colombia. The Faranda is located in the historical center of Cali, close to the boulevard and other historical sites, like Iglesia Ermita. Check in was relatively smooth and the hotel is relatively modern, given its surroundings. The area around the hotel is not the best, but they don't reflect the inside of the hotel. The general vibe of the hotel is Art Deco. I don't know what that has to do with Cali, Colombia, but that's what the Faranda was giving. There's one small elevator for the hotel, so if you don't mind stairs, I would advise using them at least to walk down. There's also a bar on the top floor that gets very loud when there's an event. So again, if this is a problem, request a room on the lower floor. I also wouldn't count getting any kind of workout in their "fitness room" which is a tiny room with ancient equipment and no ventilation. The bar staff also randomly come and go, so if you go to get a drink at 8:00 p.m. there may or may not be a bar tender at the bar in the lobby which is the first thing you see when you walk into the place. On the positive side, the room rate seemed to be excessively reasonable. Breakfast was pretty okay and security is very tight at night, so you can feel pretty good about staying there. It was good to try but I think I'll pay a little bit more and stay somewhere with nicer amenities next time.

A good hotel to stay at in Cali with loads of dining options. Neighbourhood felt safe and well connected. Staff at the hotel were wonderful and always helpful. Rooms are clean and provide everything you would expect from a hotel at this level. Breakfast was good as well. Only suggestion would be more variety and options for the breakfast.

No deberían decir que tienen 5 estrellas
Regular: afuera del hotel habían al menos 2 indigentes dormidos. El lobby tenía un olor extraño como a comida mezclado con algo más, las habitaciones si estaban limpias y bien presentadas pero el agua de la ducha era fría y en las noches hay discoteca en el último piso (a todo volumen) así que dormir fue imposible

Dando respuesta a sus no conformidades, informamos que: nuestro hotel no es 5 estrellas, somos un hotel COLLECTION que dentro de la zona cuenta con excelentes servicios y es uno de los mejores, lamentablemente tuvimos una falla con nuestro calentador que al dia de hoy se encuentra en excelentes condiciones, sin embargo siempre tenemos en cuenta y priorizamos todos los comentarios de nuestros clientes para que nos den el voto de confianza y tenerlos nuevamente con nosotros.

The management and staff as excellent but the immediate area around the hotel does not feel safe. The rooftop is also often rented out for private events - limiting access to this space. The hotel itself is average and staff are clearly doing the best with what they have. I would recommend searching for other options.

Property was so clean and breakfast was great. Staff very nice and helpful. It’s right by the river. 10-15 min anywhere with a cab. Cabs are everywhere and affordable 5-6 American dollars. Zoo is close and was great.

My wife and I stayed for 1 night, and when we arrived there was no A/C. For a city like Cali, A/C must be needed as the weather is rainy and the humidity is high. We spend a terrible night dealing with the heat, even sleeping with the window open, we had no way to cool down the room.

Que los trabajadores tomaran en cuenta a los huéspedes y no digan mentira estuve su aire acondicionado todo un día y me llevaron un ventilador al otro día que habían arreglado el aire acondicionado el Fron Desk de noche quien lo atiende no toma el teléfono cuando bajas no encuentras a nadie las toallas son horrible huelen mal y viejas de blancas son grises no te dejan jabón ni shampu ni agua en la habitación es una pena porque el hotel es acogedor y agradable pero de pésimo servicio me gustaría que lo tomaran en cuenta por favor de comunicarse conmigo si nesecita otra pregunta

Lo unico que no me gusto fue que el DJ en la terraza, no complace a todos solo a los preferidos o conocidos. Le pedi que si podia tocar una cancion de christian Nodal, que ahi no tocaban esa clase de musica. Entonces le dije bueno de msrc Anthony y me dijo vale, nuncs ls toco eso si me moleste ya que habia yo estado ahi el miercoles dos dias antes y uno de los clientes pidio musica de corridos y de christian, y a ellos si los complacieron.

Esta bien peero
El hotel es bonito, las habitaciones tienen mucho espacio, camada comoda. El desayuno es rico. Pueden mejorar el costo exagerado de la carta en el restaurante vs la calidad de los platos. También el ruido en las noches (jueves y viernes) en la terraza, no permite el descanso! yo estaba en un 5 piso y se escuchaba la musica muy fuerte

I stayed in this hotel 2 times this year 2013, first time front door by the River, the lock knot was broke, second time the enter door to my room also needs to be repaired because it wasn’t locked, I just opened without my key.

Great room, however, wifi did not work over the weekend and the front desk seemed to not care. There was also inconsistency on which door to enter or exit and that was a bit frustrating. Some days it was the turnstyle door, and others it was the door on the side. But there were no clear rules of when to use one or the other.

Nice rooftop but needs more trained staff
The first issue are the rooms are too small and “upgrades” don’t mean much in that regard. I got a room with the mini-window that faces the hallway and the “better room” just had a slightly bigger window that faced same noisy hallway. The Wi-Fi not working for 2+ days was a big deal, but no one cared to show concern over it. Bathroom gutter smell was not nice. Breakfast was super disappointing. They just need a better system and more staff. The food is not terrible but the wait is unreasonable and when the food comes it’s too little. The two female receptionists who welcome you and are there most of the day are the only ones who know anything. The overnight guy was not very helpful, but asked a lot of questions about you while solving nothing. Rooftop bar staff also very nice. The rooftop is a nice hangout spot and this location is great. They just need to be on top of repairs, operations, etc.. better managers, and have a trained staff who’s supported to help guests.

Dramatically overcharged for laundry (to the point of being a complete rip off) and also told me specifically where to park my motorcycle and then I find out later it wasnt included and needed to pay a dramatic amount extra when leaving. everywhere deserves to make money, but this place just drains you for all they can

My stay at Hotel Faranda Collection Cali was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient. Breakfasts were healthy and delicious. Although the room was on the small side, it was very stylish and clean, and the bed was comfortable. My only criticism was that I booked a superior room with a King bed and decided to take a standard room with a queen because the superior room had no balcony or view. This should made clear on the site.
