WOW! Nous voyageons beaucoup et n'avons jamais eu un aussi bel hotel/motel pour ce prix avec un si bon service. Déjeuner livré à la chambre INCLUS de base (choix disponible heure de livraison à notre convenance). Jaccuzi et piscine chauffée, spot à feu, resto/bar directement sur place avec credit de 12$ inclus de base, chiens permis, charmant village entouré de vignobles, on recommande haut la main et retournerons assurement !

A nice, restful stay
Very pleasant stop at Sideways Inn on our way along the Pacific Coast. The staff is friendly and the bedding is good. Fixed point shower with no pressure belongs in another century though. Also had to fix the bathroom’s sliding door which was ajar. Breakfast is delivered to the door in a bag but the room is not designed to eat in it, and hot beverages will have to be fetched at the reception. Some lobby spaces near the staircases to the upper rooms were encumbered with trash, service carts, or various utensils which left an impression of being a little messy: that could also be improved.

I had to wait 40 min because they were cleaning the room we were staying at. The check in was supposed to be at 3pm. At midnight you can hear people outside the pool talking, laughing and screaming.

Although some elements of the property are showing their age, the rooms, the lobby and especially the pool areas are well cared for and comfortable.

Our keurig didn’t work…the barn door that is utilized for the bathroom got stuck and I was trapped in there for almost 15 minutes as my husband tried to get the door back on the track…the lighting in the room is garish and not very good. And we saw someone who appeared to be very drunk, smoking, unkempt looking into and hovering around our car…we did text and got security to come over…for those that need it, there is no elevator…so be sure to request a first floor room…but note that its much noisier. The sideways lounge had some very yummy food…the king sized bed was very comfy…breakfast is available for a fee…but nothing terribly healthy. Great coffee is in the lobby…which was nice…and of course, this hotel is very close to solvang which is why we ended up staying there…

We really enjoyed staying at the sideways Inn, we were pleasantly surprised with everything the hospitality, fitness facility, Great bed & drop off breakfast. This is all done really well! The only thing I would say is that the lighting in the room is very dim. Would be nice if there were dimmers to raise them up if you wanted it to be brighter. It’s hard to open the shades because you’re right on the walkway.

We loved staying at this hotel. The pool and fire pit area was lovely and relaxing. They have free breakfast delivery and thoughtful decorative touches. We would stay here again.

Not a pleasant experience. Electronic lock battery ran out on door and we could not reenter the room. It was 10 pm and air temperature had dropped. We waited 1.5 hours outside the room. Service people who fixed the lock were kind and helpful. However, no attempt was made by establishment to apologize for our inconvenience. We did not ask for a discount or any other accommodation, however seems like a basic politeness to extend this. The room itself would be ok for a low budget motel, not exceptionally clean or well appointed. Stark and sterile, a bit lifeless frankly.

Minor detail … the hairdryer was not working and there wasn’t a phone to call the front desk so had to walk to the lobby to report the issue but they provided another one. Just wasn’t convenient after just getting out of the shower.

Probably one of the nicest staff any place I stayed. Amenities excellent including high end gym. Door delivered continental breakfast service. Pool and hot tub were heated (thank goodness) because it had rained a ton around the time I was there early April. Will be back.

Clean rooms, nice gym, good amenities, convenient location to neighboring areas like Solvang, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez & Los Alamos. Very friendly staff as well. Only down side was our original room faced highway 101 and was noisy with passing trucks overnight. The hotel was gracious to allow us to move to another room on our 2nd night. We'd stay here again in the future.

Our room was ok, clean and served the purpose. Sadly they put us in the side facing freeway and the sound of the cars swooshing by didn’t make for the best night of sleep. They have a cute theme and aesthetically tried. The bedding is basic we were both cold with not much to pull up -thin blankets. The staff wasn’t particularly warm and welcoming or eager to help. We frequent the area often decided to give this a try but honestly a little disappointed. When I booked the room it said included breakfast only to find out it was a not so good donut a piece of fruit and juice. Needless to say found breakfast elsewhere. Hampton Inn is just around the corner, nearly the same price - hot breakfast and better experience for the money.

Tolles Hotel mit sehr schönem Zimmer, Frühstück wurde nach Vorauswahl ans Zimmer gebracht. Die Bar nebenan ist auch klasse. Mehrere Feuerstellen auf dem Gelände, wo man abends sehr schön sitzen kann. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Generally, we really enjoyed our short stay! The pool/plaza area was lovely, check in was easy, we liked the comfy chairs both inside and just outside of the room. My only caveat was on a cool, windy evening, the bartenders refused to close the front doors, making the lounge unreasonably cold and uncomfortable. Definitely changed our minds about staying for a second drink and food.

My husband and I travel often and we would place The Sideways Inn in Buellton as one of our Top Five favorite Inns. The riooms are impeccable, The staff is incredible. The grounds are stunning. The bar and restaurant had great ambience and delicious food and drinks. Strongly recommend to anyone who enjoys excellence. We can’t wait to go again.

We were initially placed by room that had an unattended barking dog protecting the area. So, the staff kindly moved us to a different side of the property. We love the rooms and amenities of Sideways. The freeway noise and the car wash's beeping are a factor for light sleepers. The Sausage Airstream is FANTASTIC. Our go-to place to stay when heading up to Paso from OC.

This property was beautiful but lost me when they said no late check-out. Also they charged me $16.80 for the gym so yeah they will hit you with unexpected charges. Might give this hotel another chance we'll see

We have been coming to this property since 3/2020. We feel this property is great and have enjoyed every stay. The rooms are clean. The staff is always helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that the complimentary breakfast has gotten less each year. It is disappointing. It would be nice if you offered something more and not a list of items we can buy.

Next to an RV place, they call it a resort so you will get charged an extra resort fee. It not up to resort level expectations. It does have a fitness center and pool and jacuzzi. About 10 from the downtown where you can eat and try the winery.

The sheets were very thin and worn as was the blanket. The room was large with a teeny bathroom. The furnishings looked like garage sale items! Not welcoming at all!

The receptionist was courteous and helpful. The bartender was also. The hotel seems run down and needs a fresh face. The room is good, nothing fancy. The free continental breakfast is bleak.
