We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the front lobby and friendly young man at the front desk was very helpful after our 7 hour drive. We were given a very nice room that was fresh and very clean, just like the main lobby. Such a welcome surprise.

I made my reservation through Expedia for $71.12 and upon arrival, Super 8 asked for my credit card. It was a night check in with employee behind protective glass and he stated my card had been denied which I thought strange that he even asked me for it since I had already booked through Expedia. He then asked me to use the outside machine to run my card and it went through fine. He said the charge would come off my card in a couple days. It did not come off and I also found there were 2 charges of $63.50 plus the $71.12 from Expedia. Will attempt to get it taken off however I don’t plan to use Expedia as I was charged more than their rate plus all the hassle of taking 2 additional charges off my statement.

Nosy workers and loud tenants
On three separate occasions room service walked in without knocking or announcing themselves. I was in the middle of changing at one point. Most locks are broke or almost broke on the doors and you can hear everything through the walls. It was hard to get privacy. We have a baby and getting him asleep was a challenge because room service, and the owners themselves came through and let themselves in, or people would check in and stomp or play their TVs extremely loud. If you have kids or if you’re a light sleeper I don’t recommend this place.

This is my second stay at Super 8 by Wyndham Brinkley, and I will be back next year. The room was clean, and the staff is very courteous and friendly (special mention to the young man attending the front desk when I checked-in - he advised me there was a problem with the room I had reserved, and he promptly advised me that he would place me in another room, which turned out to be an upgrade. Very pleasant young man and very efficient. Having met his father during breakfast, it was easy to see that he was following his father's teaching). Highly recommended.

Clean but dated
The hotel is average for the area. There were a lot of things that didn’t work or was just broken, like all of the fixtures in the bathroom, The pool was unavailable and very nasty. The Wi-Fi signal was almost nonexistent. The bed was extra firm, which made it uncomfortable for me. However, my room was very clean.

Not the most wonderful overnight stay.
Walking in the door of this non-smoking room the first thing you noticed was the smell of cigarette smoke that they had tried to mask with some sort of deodorizer. The cigarette burns on the bed spread was also an indicator. The shower curtain had mold on it as well as the bathtub skid pad. What really burned me though was that I inadvertently left my tablet on the nightstand and when I called back in the evening of the same day of checkout I was informed the tablet had not be turned in. So I'm out that.

The side of the building where the rooms are is very unkempt with trash and crumbling walls and stairs. There were a few men just hanging around outside the rooms, which made me and my friend feel really uncomfortable. The motel is also attached to a dive bar. The room had been recently updated and painted, but there were still stains on the bed linens and towels. The bathroom is very cramped and the toilet was not clean. The unclean room and the unsafe feeling was enough for us to check back out and find a different hotel for the night.

This is an older facility. It served my purpose of having a quiet place to sleep. However, I was glad I happened to have my water shoes along as the tub was stained and looked kind of gross. The staff was accommodating and honored my request for a ground level room which was a great relief for me.

I intended to Pay Cash Upon Arrival. I had the money in hand but before the clerk could take it I received an alert from my bank that my debit card was charged by Expedia. I had left enough money in my account to cover my bills at home while I'm away. Now you've caused a problem.I fant drive back home tomorrow to fix this. DO NOT CHARGE MY CARD AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON WHEN I CHECK IN TO THE DAYS INN IN KODAK TN! I will pay cash upon arrival as I intended to do here. I can't afford the insufficient funds fees you just caused at my bank. I will Never Use Expedia Again
