Romantic getaway
I had such a wonderful time during my stay at this Bed and Breakfast. Beautiful sunset, warm and clean pool, made new friends, new unexpected experiences, beautiful and comfortable room. I definitely recommend it for a couple's get away.

Relaxant et dépaysant
Tranquille, comme seuls dans une maison en plein désert (on entend les coyotes le soir!). Bâtiments et jardin charmants. Patio privé pour chaque chambre (orienté sud-est ou nord-ouest). Œuvres d’artistes locaux (bâtiment principal et chambres). Mobilier joli et confortable, mais seules tables à dîner sur la terrasse commune. Déjeuner génial, changeant chaque jour : options santé (avocat, soupe froide, fruits frais, saumon fumé, yogourt, granola, hoummous, etc.), œufs, bacon, pain, 2 fromages (bleu, chèvre, brie...), 2 jus frais (orange, baies, mangue...), café, thés et tisanes. Grande bouteille de Pellegrino offerte à l’arrivée. Pas de cuisine complète (frigo, micro-ondes et évier), mais vaisselle fournie. Le personnel est vraiment serviable (Angela à notre arrivée et Arturo pour le wi-fi). Découvert par hasard : un des coins piscine/spa est clôturé, réservé aux adultes et "clothing-optional" (parfait pour bronzage intégral). Pour la lessive, on peut aller à Palm Canyon Resort, pas loin. En basse saison, les restaurants ne sont pas tous ouverts, mais il y a du choix. Il y a deux épiceries (la plus grande est Center Market).

Hôtel original
Cet hôtel présente une décoration très originale dans le style du pays et qui contraste avec la froideur habituelle des motels. Le petit déjeuner est parfait. Les piscines rafraichissantes par ces jours de grosse chaleur. Un seul reproche:Le service de notre chambre n'a pas été fait, le carton le demandant s'étant décroché de la porte.

This was a good hotel to stay in. The decor inside the room and on the grounds was charming. Our room was clean. Having contactless check-in was no problem. Room was clean. There is no daily housekeeping but any supply needs were met. Breakfast was very simple. I'd stay here again.

This is a place with quirky, no contact host. They seem to make it work ok though. We have stayed here several times as a couple for romantic getaways. If the desert vibe is your happy place, this is a nice option. Note the swimsuit optional pool, which can be a plus or a minus depending on your sensibilties.

Gorgeous, but...
We loved almost everything about this place: the room, the setting, the pool. But the "invisible check-in" was a pain-in-the-ass. There was no one to show us around the room, nor was there any written description. The result was that I spent half an hour trying to figure out how to ignite the gas fireplace, only to finally realize (by accident) that the fireplace was hooked up to a thermostat and that the thermostat was located in the kitchenette area above the microwave (Of course! Where else would it be, dummy?). Also, we only got one complementary coffee serving for two mornings. Other than that, we loved the place.

Wir kennen die Unterkunft schon seit ein paar Jahren. Da hatte sie noch einen anderen Besitzer. Wir waren gespannt was sich seit dem alles geändert hat. Der Ort ist immer noch hervorragend geeignet für Leute, die die Natur und die Ruhe lieben. Leider praktiziert die Unterkunft keinen persönlichen Check In mehr. Wir hatten über Expedia gebucht und erhielten schon einige Tagen vor unserer Anreise Informationen zum Check In. Leider konnten wir am morgen des Ankunftstages keine der genannten Telefonnummer erreichen! (Es ging niemand ans Telefon!) Auch teilte ich einige Tage vorher meine persönliche E-Mailadresse per Mail mit um die Angaben bzgl. Zimmernummer und Einlasscode zu erhalten. Leider erhielt ich keine Antwort!! Vor Ort konnte ich dann endlich jemanden telefonisch erreichen. In dem Gespräch teilte ich erneut meine Mail Adresse mit. Nach ca. 15 Minuten erhielt ich endlich die notwendigen Informationen und wir konnten unser Zimmer beziehen. Diese Art des Check In sollte einmal gründlich überdacht werden!!! Es war kein entspanntes ankommen und keine herzliche Begrüßung. Daher nur 3 Sterne bei Service. Abgesehen von diesem schlechten Start können wir diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen. Das Ambiente ist einfach super. Nachts kann man den klaren Sternenhimmel beobachten. Sehr romantisch ;-). Auch wird ein kleines Frühstück am Morgen vor die Tür gebracht und man kann auf der eigenen Terrasse den Tag mit frischen Croissants beginnen.

I love this property and I’ve stayed here five times. It is beautiful place in a beautiful desert with lovely pools and views ! they need to improve their breakfast options. I was here for five days this winter, and there was no variation at all in the breakfast. It was delicious the first two days, but then became repetitive, they are close to some excellent bakeries and if the breakfast is cold, the baked goods need to be excellent. We did deal with the power outage very successfully and comfortably. They also need to welcome guests in the first few hours of their stay.

A lovely pleasant place to stay halfway between "town" and the Anza-Borrego park entrance. Rooms are big and well-appointed with nice decor touches, lots of places to sit and admire the sky day or night. Did not discover there was a second pool and hot tub on the property, clothing optional, until last day! Would have liked to know that.

We checked in after dark and this is our first time. The after hours lady stayed with us on the phone giving directions. We arrived at our excellent accommodation and spent a great 2 hours star gazing. This won’t be the last time to visit!

What s as great place. The location is perfect for access to the AB State Park Visitor Center and several close hikes. Not too much in the way of food choices, it is a very small town. The BV Inn is gorgeous and blends into the environment. The pools were crystal clear. The clothing optional pool was nicely secluded, but plenty of space to stretch out. Breakfast was nice. Delivered straight to your door. It was a continental bfast: juice, muffin,yogurt, granola, with coffee available 24/7 in the lobby. The room was very nicely appointed with a very spacious bathroom. The outside patio area was very nice as well. Very private and secluded. I can’t wait to stay there again!
