Nice accommodations in secluded location
Cabin well appointed, very clean and comfortable. Had a bit of a time figuring out how to work the cooktop stove ( need to place the pot or pan on the burner first before the heat will come on). Owners very quick to respond to any questions. Overall a nice stay.

Super gemütliches Häuschen ca 9 km abseits der Ringstraße. Man kommt im Winter definitiv nur mit einem 4x4 dort hin ( wir hatten im Januar zeitweise 30 cm). Ich hatte Angst vor der“Schotterstraße“, habe aber gelernt, dass man bei den Wetterverhältnissen besser auf Schotter als auf einer nicht geräumten Straße fährt. Der Vermieter war sehr fürsorglich und hat uns mehrfach Wetterinfos und Tipps geschickt. Im Haus alles tip top 👍

This cabin is really an authentic and amazing experience. Do be careful on the drive in and out but nothing much more than paying attention to the road! The landscape is absolutely beautiful and what a great place to spend an evening or two outside of the city!

Loved this cute cottage! It was a little ways from town, but we like being away from everything. Very cute place! Used the sauna every am! Perfect for 2 people, as rather small.

Einfach nur perfekt!
Wunderschöne Hütte, in ruhiger Lage, abseits der Ringstraße. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles vorhanden, was man sich nur wünschen kann. Kommunikation war ebenfalls 1a. Selten so etwas rundum Perfektes erlebt.

It’s little bit far on dirt road but once I you get there it’s beautiful location. Very nicely decorated country style cabin. Host is very helpful and responds to any questions quickly. Sauna and natural surroundings are the best part.

Erster Stopp unserer Islandreise
Die Unterkunft ist unfassbar ruhig gelegen am Fuße eines kleinen Berges inmitten der isländischen Natur. Für die Hinfahrt lohnt sich ein stabiler fahrbarer Untersatz. Das Haus ist super eingerichtet, sehr gemütlich und mit Liebe zum Detail. Das einzige woran man sich erst gewöhnen muss, ist der geringe Wasserdruck. Für uns war die Sauna ein Highlight, welche wir jeden Abend genossen haben.

Beautiful Cabin in Countryside
We stayed for 2 nights in this cabin. It was a nice property. We loved setting the fireplace at night and we were actually able to see the northern lights on our last night. It was pretty difficult to get to as the roads are not paved, but this was expected from reviews and hosts. If you choose to stay here, would suggest to arrive during daylight. We arrived when it was dark and it was a little difficult to navigate to the right cabin. We had a pleasant stay here!

liebevoll eingerichtet Hütte
Sehr schöne Hütte für 4 Personen im Nirgendwo. Mit vielen schönen Details eingerichtet und sogar mit einem Ofen zum Feuer machen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett. Es gab eine ausführliche Informationen zur Hütte und auch zur Umgebung.

Zeer stijlvolle woning, van alle gemakken voorzien!
Fantastisch huis, zeer stijlvol en huiselijk ingericht. Keuken zeer goed geoutilleerd, bbq aanwezig alles heel erg goed. Prachtig uitzicht, genieten in de avond van een lekkere sauna. We hebben hier vier nachten gezeten na een rondreis van 1,5 week en kwamen lekker tot rust. Vanaf deze plek kun je sjaefelness prima in een dag bezoeken , wil je wat meer wandelen, dan heb je meer tijd nodig. Kunt ook mooi wandelen rondom het huis.

Perfect Iceland Getaway
My husband and I had a fantastic time staying in this cabin. This was the perfect place to refresh after long days of hiking. The sauna was the cherry on top! Communication was easy and the owners provided a detailed booklet of activities in the area. I only wish our trip was longer!

Secluded place but be aware
Very clean and nice common area. Be aware that you have to drive 30 minutes on a gravel road to get to the place and that the rooms are barely big enough to hold the beds - those in one room could barely open their luggage and the couple in the other room had to leave their suitcase in the living room.

Amazing little property!! My wife and I traveled with another couple and this cabin was the perfect size. Great decor, comfortable beds, and an amazing view. My buddy actually noted down the layout and took some basic specs as they are looking to build something similar on their mountain property. Sauna is great after long days of hiking and exploring the west of Iceland. Take it easy on the gravel road out to the property. Having lived in Alaska and changed many a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, you certainly don't want to waste a half hour on the side of your car when you could be exploring such a beautiful place. Jon and Biggi were great hosts/property owners. Really easy to get ahold of and provided lots of great info. If we ever go back to Iceland, we would absolutely rent this property again.

Loved our stay in this cozy cabin
This is a cozy rustic modern cabin out of town. We loved our stay here and would stay again. It had everything you would need to make your stay perfect and its location is great if you want to use it as a base to explore southwest Iceland. One thing to note is that the cabin is a bit of a jog away from town. The nearest town is Borgarnes and is about 30 mins away. This isn’t a bad thing it’s just something you need to keep in mind before retiring for the day. Wish we had more time here!

Fijne prima woning
Dit is een fijn huisje voor 4 personen. Alles wat beloofd wordt doet het. De douche geeft een beetje weinig water dat ruikt naar SO2, maar dat is geen probleem. We kwamen bij aankomst vast te zitten in de dikke sneeuw. De vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren hebben ons er met hun jeep uitgetrokken. Tophuis!

Incredible, Adorable, fantastic cabin and very nice contact!
We stayed for a whole week in this cabin. As soon, as we entered the cabin, we felt like we were at home. The facility is homelike; there are many lamps so that you have enough light during the dark days of Iceland. The interior was very comfortable; we had everything what we needed during our visit. All the technical devices (especially the sauna) worked properly! There were many things in the cabin we did not expect e.g. Bluetooth loud speakers. The Wi-Fi was great; we stayed connected to the rest of the world. We arrived very late, at this time it was already dark. Thank god that all smartphones are equipped with a torch nowadays... The description of the cabin was very precise; we read it very careful before we arrived. There weren't any information missing, everything was as described and also some advices (e.g. do not take a special route) are really necessary ;-) Before we booked the cabin, we had a great contact to Biggi. We travelled with an infant and thus we needed a travel crib and a high chair. Biggi was great, the answers came very quickly and precise! We did not miss anything :-) Even when our big boy busted something in the cabin Biggi was very understanding. Sorry again for this faux pas! We hope that the picture of our boy reached you after we left... One evening we were able to see the polar light. The green glimmer was visual over the hills northwards. Great experience! Overall, we would thank Biggi again for this great experience; we will be back at some time! We had an awesome trip to Iceland and had a wonderful family time in this cabin! We would likely give six stars, but there are only five available in the rating system of this site ;-) Greetings from Germany from a four-person-family! See you soon!
