Hôtel très bien placé mais vieillissant
Hôtel plutôt très bien placé pour visiter l’hypermarché centre à pieds. Grand, assez confortable. Nous avons eu peur à cause d’une fête de mariage le samedi soir, et en effet un peu de bruit entre 23h et minuit quand des convives sont allés se coucher, parlant extrêmement fort ! Trois bémols pour moi : - le prix du valet parking, à $33/jour, pour un simple parking extérieur en contre-bas de l’hôtel ! - vue la taille de l’hôtel, il mériterait un espace snack en plus : il n’y a qu’un bar, et un espace où vous pouvez prendre des barres de céréales en allant les payer au comptoir d’enregistrement… - la piscine, plutôt petite en rapport avec la taille de l’hôtel, perdue au milieux d’une grande terrasse en dalles, aucun charme… cela mériterait un bar extérieur, et un peu de surveillance : à chaque fois que nous y sommes allés, des invités avaient mis de la musique assez fort (heureusement en acceptant de baisser à la demande). Globalement hôtel un peu vieillissant. Une salle de sport très peu équipée, avec du matériel largement amorti qui mériterait d’être renouvelé.

Hotel was overbooked. Gave countless excuses. Booked King bed room with city view. Received 2 queen beds. Hair all over the shower walls. Went to desk for explanation. Said they didn’t have king room available. Offered me free parking and a drink but didn’t explain the free drink is only beer or house wine. At Check out I end up getting charged for parking.

Stay was great, for the most part, only 1 server working in the lounge that was nasty, but thank goodness her counterpart was lovely. As Canadians wanting to eat NHL playoff games they always put the game on for us.

Absolutely horrible, dirty and dated. Reserved and executive floor room which they don’t have! Toilet was stained and dirty and ran all night long. King bed was more like a queen. Will NEVER spend 400/night again at the hotel. The furniture is dated and falling apart FYI

Bathroom was run down and hardware all mismached or broken. Not something tou would expect in a hilton. Got back second night room was somewhat cleaned but no towels.at all. Even took the clean ones we had not used. They did send some up promptly. Living area was ok nothing special.

My vehicle was broken into and 3,500 worth of merchandise was stolen while in the care of the valet. Also- fire alarm went off multiple times. So if you want a safe and relaxing place to stay - I WOULD NOT recommend the Hilton capitol city. Hotel refused refund. Will never return.

Our stay at the Hilton downtown was great. The employees at the Hilton were so kind and helpful. We were really annoying guests having 2 dogs with us, 1 of them being special needs (18y old) and a bunch of luggage because we were there for a wedding. They always opened the doors for us and helped us load and unload our car. They had security at the front door until around 12am every night so it felt safe taking the pups potty at night. I would definitely recommend. There is also a beautiful patio on the 3rd floor that we stayed on, it overlooks the Mississippi.

Disgusting
There was a horrible smell throughout the hotel. The windows were absolutely disgusting, parking spots weren’t big enough for our vehicle, dust all over the walls. The only lights in the room are three lamps, the bathroom was partially renovated- had one new handle in silver and one old one in gold on the French doors. Not at all impressive and will not be back. Our “downtown view” was absolutely not worth $170. I was also told if I wanted to extend my stay another night that I would have to check out at 11am and return at 3pm to check into a different room. We are now in a different hotel without a disgusting smell that caused me to puke.

Clean and comfortable. About bedtime or after (after 1:00 a.m. to be more precise) the thermostat went out and we were not able to adjust the temperature for the room which was a little cold with the cold weather out. They offered by text to come look at it but we were all already in bed and had to get up early. No other complaints other than this. Great staff, clean and comfy beds ( doubles not queens as i had booked but they were comfortable and worked)

Great location, awesome staff, all extremely nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel is in desperate need for a renovation, as the carpet in my room was torn and some furniture with chips and missing pieces at stand, meaning that maintenance has been missing its touch. If they do renovations in rooms, this would be a great hotel to stay.

Issues with valet
Pros: it’s a nice hotel and lobby. The hotel staff is super friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location. The bed was comfy. Cons: there isn’t much street parking around, so you really need to valet for $37 a night. A handicapped parking tag was stollen out of our glove box when the car was valeted. We also got our car back smelling like weed. The manager says they will be addressing both issues with the valet personnel, but we still left without a needed handicapped tag. We decided to street park the second night.

Over priced for what we got
1) They would not check us in on the time listed. We had to wait an hour with no apology or explanation. 2) I paid for a king size bed and they gave me a queen 3) The sink was full of hair from the previous tenants. 4) The TV did not work, but maintenance was quick to correct the problem

Loved the view and the bedding. The condition of some of the carpet, wall paint and head board was worn. I didn’t like that.

Hotel is average-rooms outdated and furniture all banged up-we didn’t have hot water. When called down to manager on duty she seemed annoyed that I called to complain about having to take a cold shower along with my daughter. Asked if she could refund us some of our stay and she offered to comp our parking for one night $40 when staying at a Hilton I expect more from a facility like this and to make ot right if it’s not up to par. Disappointed Hilton .
