Un très bel hotel tenu par deux personnes très agréables, souriants et à l'écoute de nos demandes. La chambre romantique est très jolie et l'équipement au top . La salle de bain aurait merité un petit nettoyage supplémentaire et un savon pour les mains mais tout le reste de la chambre était parfait ! Nous nous sentions très bien et les bungalow sont bien agencés , chacun à son intimité . La cuisine de l'hôtel est excellente mais représente un budget à prendre en considération vu l'éloignement de l'hôtel sur l'île. Chaque deplacement aussi représente un coup ( 60 dollars par personne pour l'aller retour à bocas town ) ce sont des informations que j'aurai aimé connaitre avant la reservation :) car les coûts de restauration et déplacements ont représentés une note non negligeable en fin de séjour . Néanmoins nous sommes ravis de notre séjour . Note aux futurs voyageurs : si vous aimez les chiens comme moi vous serez ravis , si vous avez la possibilité, emmenez des gouttes anti puces pour eux , du désinfectant et un coupe ongle pour un chien qui se promène autour de l'hôtel et qui a plusieurs plaies purulentes :( ils sont tous adorables et bien nourris ce qui fait plaisir à voir ..

Un très beau cadre MAIS les eaux autour de l'hôtel ne sont pas transparentes. Nous avons été devoré par les moustiques de sables (Chritas). Un hotel très beau et un personnel agréable et attentionné. Nous avons apprécié les bungalows sur pilotis. MAIS les repas et consommations sont bien trop chères pour ce que c'est.

Petit bout de paradis
emplacement fabuleux, assez reclus (me concernant c'est un point positif d'autant qu'il n'y a pas bcp de chambres) très belle plage de sable blanc, les bungalows sur pilotis très agréables, hormis le fait qu'un des bungalows attenant au notre était en rénovation et que du coup il y avait quelques nuisances, notamment des déchets à l'eau qui venaient polluer l'eau au niveau de notre bungalow, du coup impossible de s'y baigner .... le restaurant sur place est bon, les plats un peu chers mais au moins qualitatifs le check in à Bocas town a été quelques peu raté, nous avons du attendre 30 mn que l'employée de la reception reviennent non seulement de je ne sais où mais en plus extrèmenet désagréable, limite on l'a dérangée.... bref no comment!

Azul Paradise exceeded all expectations, thanks to its impeccable accommodations, outstanding service led by managers Jordano and Ricardo, and the unbeatable location. Our bungalow was spacious, immaculately clean, and the panoramic views from the full wall glass windows were simply breathtaking. Waking up to the ocean waves and sounds of the tropical rainforest made us feel totally at peace. While drinking your morning coffee, you will likely see several different species of fish through the glass floor. My wife and I found ourselves with the privacy we needed to reconnect. Often, we were the only ones on the beach, or the only ones on the walking trail enjoying the sounds of nature. We highly recommend this resort, and we look forward to returning in the future!

If you want a relaxing, quiet, rustic getaway then this is your place. The inside of the bungalows are clean and well kept but the exterior does not look so great, in fact some areas are unsafe and the property owners need to invest in securing some of the aging wood planks on walkways and decks. The beach on the property was full of seaweed and is not worth calling a beach. There is clearer bleach just next door that we had access to so this made up for the seaweed. The logistics for getting to and from the airport to the property should have been better outlined in the property description and be included in the price instead of being extra. Overall it was a good getaway and I enjoyed the peace and quite.

We stayed in Bungalow #6. The view and the bungalow itself were stunning! During our stay, we were blessed with great weather! beautiful sunrise and sunsets. We would lay in bed and just look out into the water, It couldn't have been more relaxing. The staff were kind and attentive, and the best part was that there weren't any locals wandering around asking you to buy their goods. I noticed that it only happened when we would go to the beaches. Our first night at our bungalow was an unforgettable one. Throughout the night we could keep hearing this squeeky noise that was so loud it prevented me from sleeping. The next morning, I woke up and found droppings by the front door. My suspicions were correct- a bat. I mentioned my concern to the guy in charge, he seemed concerned and told me he would find a resolution and to enjoy the day. His initial fix was to downgrade me to a smaller bungalow, I was not happy since I chose this destination based on many things but the selling point was the bungalow. I pushed back and he eventually asked an employee to clean out the room. When I was told my room had been cleaned out, I asked if he removed the bat to which the employee shook his head and then proceeded to tell me it wasn't just one bat, but SEVEN of them! I was mortified! I appreciated them taking care of that because I really wanted to stay in the bungalow I had booked and I know things like bats entering my room at night was out of their control but they managed to make me happy

Off the grid Overwater Bungalows
While my stay at Azul Paradise overwater bungalow was indeed a dream, it's important to note that the water clarity can vary depending on the time of year. When I visited in September, I did notice that the water was a bit murky, which was a slight disappointment. This may have been due to seasonal factors or weather conditions. Despite this, the overall experience was still exceptional. The resort's staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and enjoyment. Additionally, the murkier water didn't detract from the beauty of the bungalow itself or the stunning views from my private deck. It's worth considering the timing of your visit if crystal-clear water is a priority. However, even with the water conditions in September, Azul Paradise remains a remarkable destination, offering a unique and unforgettable overwater bungalow experience.

Checking into this property was a big hassle. When I got there I basically had to rebook the entire reservation, First red flag was my receipt that I signed said $1100 total but Expedia charged me $1410, when I asked Jordiano about this, the guy that works the front desk he could not tell me why I was being charged more and to call Expedia to figure that out. Then when I reached out to Expedia they tried to put it back on Azul resort. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! The resort was ok but not worth the prices they are charging. If you’re going to spend this type of money I would go to the better over water bungalows like at sandals resorts. The food options are very limited and they so called take a tab for your meals and drinks which are hand written receipts and at check out they will try and overcharge you at the end of your stay, and the only way to get off the island where the overwater bungalows are is by boat. So if you have an issue with your tab for food/drinks they act as if they are not going to take you back to the main island where the airport is located to leave. So between being overcharged for my reservation and being overcharged for the only food options available, I would not recommend this place. I would recommend staying in Bocas town if your a single traveler because the boat only goes to the mainland from the bungalows at certain times and is very expensive like $30 each way. Oh yea and the boat ride to and from the bungalowsis not included in the reservation

What a gorgeous, off-the-beaten path, island that serves as a great spot for much needed R&R. Azul Paradise is a handful of private bungalows situated over the Caribbean Sea's warm waters, complete with a tiki bar and full service dining led by an amazing chef. The staff is truly one of kind -- and works to exceed expectations every step of the way. They will work with you to coordinate transfers between the airport, Bocas Town and the island for a small fee, making it easy to get back and forth. One note: We learned after the fact that while in Bocas Town, the transport company which did a great job, is a separate organization. You do not need to book island excursions through them. You can or you can book directly with the staff at Azul Paradise and let them show you around the islands. Communications before the trip were easy though not always perfectly clear. Wifi can be spotty, and the team shared in advance that the resort is eco friendly using solar power during the day, and a generator in the evenings. The generator powers the AC, which means it is only run during the evenings. It does get warm and very humid but with a dip in the sea or day out on a boat fixes that. The island isn't designed to have every amenity so if you need that, you may consider a different destination. This is a lovely location, great people, tasty food and some adorable island pups to make your stay. Bring plenty of sunscreen, bug spray and a few good books. It'll be perfect.

We personally felt that for the price and the fact that the accomodation is so far away, the transport on water to the accomodation should have been included in the price. $120 USD to get to and from the accomodation is crazy expensive and should be included in the price of staying because guests have no other option. Also we had to wait 3 hours to get onto the boat to get to the accomodation after travelling 40 hours to get to Bocas town. That left a really sore taste in our mouth

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff was amazing and made sure we got the full experience that we wanted, including taking us out on a snorkel and private island tour. The accommodations are truly beautiful and the water is perfect to swim or relax all day. The only thing to note is there are no nearby restaurants so all of your meals will be at the hotel, but the food there was great so we had no issue with that.

Once we arrived we were told there’s no air conditioning until 630pm to 10pm. We were missing a toilet seat and a mirror from 1 bathroom. There was no water outside to clean yourself before coming in so sand was an issue. There were stains everywhere, walls, beds… no safe or dresser for that matter, 1 door would not close. There’s a kitchenette with no utensils no paper towels or napkins provided. One option for food. Power kept going out! No cushions for the 4 beach chairs. Couldn’t get clean beach towels, we had 3 for 5 people. No curtains if you want privacy. Furniture was definitely never sanitized. No local store or basic supplies available if you forgot sunblock or bug spray….. there’s more but I’m tired of typing

Beautiful location and very remote. Stayed in the deluxe bungalow that offered the most privacy and space. Water was clear and they provided kayaks, snorkeling gear and water boards for free. The bungalow was clean and spacious for 2. Food selection is small but they will try their best to accommodate and alter recipes. The food is also over priced but we enjoyed all of our meals and drinks. If you are going to eat all 3 meals I recommend purchasing the meal plan. Each lunch/dinner meal we had range from $15-$26 with dinner being the most expensive and breakfast being the least costly (under $10). The staff was friendly and recommend doing the village red frog trial tour for $8/pp. it’s a bit walking intensive but really nice to see the village and contribute to the cause.

We've never written a review before, but after our weeklong experience at Azul Paradise, we feel compelled to do so. Before taking the boat trip to the resort you might want to do some shopping in Bocas Town. The beer, wine, alcohol, and grocery prices were quite reasonable and will save you a few bucks. We were fortunate enough to meet the chef, Cheppi, on our boat ride to the resort. He made us feel very welcome and asked what type of food we preferred. He did not disappoint the entire trip- every single dish was exquisite, well-prepared, and well-presented. If you like spicy food be sure to ask for his special sauce. Whether you get the spicy Ahi tuna, the filet, or the lobster you will not be disappointed. We tried pretty much every entre he prepared and were very impressed. Even the deserts are great. We found the mixed drinks to be a little weak but the wine was quite good for the price and the pours were generous. We were met at the dock by the manager Tony who was very welcoming and made our trip a lot of fun. Anything you need, just ask him. His two dogs are great too, by the way. We went on several excursions with Sebastian who was very personable and seemed to be enjoying them as much as we did- got to see a couple of sloths and the trip to Dolphin Bay was a huge success. We stayed in Unit 7 and found it to be very comfortable and clean, with a fridge and on the corner so you could choose sun or shade. We are recommending it to all our friends!

The property is run down is about to go out of business only a cook and a waiter on site . More expensive than Tokyo the food is minimal. The owners let this place to go to the ground . Is better ti close it or to sell it

Hi John, Normally we would respond & try to acknowledge your complaint and even apologize if we did something wrong. In this situation we are not sure how to answer or where you are getting your information. The entire resort was renovated in 2020, The resort is made of the worlds top hardwoods and crafted to flow with the native Panamanian rain forest. We really care about providing all of our guests with a quality experience. During your stay you were greeted by multiple members of our staff, and our manager. We also had our Private Chef on site to cook your meals. For one of your meals you even requested items we did not have on the menu and our Chef personally found your favorite menu items and had them sent over to the resort (which is a 45 minute boat ride.) Please remember there is also cleaning staff, and bartenders ect, beach maintenance and resort maintenance… and although there were not always in your view we can assure you they were working hard. The owners were also on site that week, and although the weather was not perfect that week, the resort is not falling apart. We are not even sure how to respond to this, but we would like future guests to know that is not the case. If the resort is not the right fit for any of our guests. Any of our guests can always relocate to one of our Penthouses on the main island Hotel. This is a service we provide all of our guests as long as the rooms are available. We really care about all our guests and making the experience unforgettable, we wish you would have told us during your stay that this was not the right fit for you and we would have helped you move hotels.

Absolutely amazing- I couldn’t possibly say enough about our vacation at Azul Paradise! We stayed in the deluxe overwater bungalow with the most beautiful views from every vantage point (including the window in the floor looking into the ocean waters). The staff was accommodating in every way, including Tony who helped us coordinate tours like Starfish Bay snorkeling, watching sea turtles hatch on Zapatilla Island, and an organic chocolate farm tour. Their chef, Cheppie, was fantastic and put together a tasty menu everyday with fresh foods in such a beautiful presentation. We enjoyed the lazy days on our deck, where at night you can see bioluminescent water, and dolphins often follow the boats nearby! The hotel is equipped with plenty of water sports such as paddle boards, kayaks, and more. We had the opportunity to meet the owners and the local community on the island and they were all great people to top it off! This place is such a gem.

Absolutely amazing place! Paradise for sure. We stayed in June-July 2021, and it was perfect. The food was great, the weather was great, our bungalow was STUNNING, and the staff was top-notch. Tony went above and beyond all our expectations, helped us book multiple excursions and tours. We saw dolphins, birds, sloths, starfish, stingrays, nurse sharks, and more! Everyone was incredibly friendly and I could not recommend this place more!! :)

The oceans doesn’t look like the pictures …. Is note clear and blue. The property is very nice and could be a very nice experience but unfortunately is under staffed , the chairs in the beach doesn’t have cushions. The staff is nice but they don’t have good service, they never offer you a drink or anything while you are at the beach. The room doesn’t get clean every day which we were not told. There are not available snacks or drinks. We asked for different beverages and there were not available. It is sad because they have good rooms and could be a different experience if they had a better management. The food is not what you expect from an ocean location. Not fresh.

The location is fantastic. But that is it. The resort is old and dirty. Poorly maintained. We had coocarachas (cockroaches) in our room Have pictures to prove it. I understand gecko lizards, but not ckckroaches. When I told the staff to clean the room, i had to ask 3 times for them to do it. For about $300 a night, this is rip off. The food in restaurant is mediocre.

It’s a great setting - being in a bungalow over the water was cool and the reason I selected it. It was isolated and quiet. But it was way too expensive. Meals were unreasonably costly for what was offered. Our four day meal bill for two was almost $600
