Overall we had a great stay, but it was more about price and location than anything. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, so that was great! Rooms are outdated and there were obvious areas that were damaged from water. Carpet was very questionable/gross. Paid for a balcony but there’s rooms above you without a balcony that just open up to your balcony which is odd. Also no light on balcony so can’t use at night. Pool area is awesome but was disappointed as it was supposed to be temp controlled to 85 but definitely was not. Would recommend for someone not planning to spend a significant amount of time at the hotel but needing a place just outside of Austin to explore hill country.

We had a lake view balcony room. It was big with a long counter on the wall to store items. People were friendly, everything was clean. Seperate pools for adults and children. We definitely will go there again.

The view and pool areas make this destination.the lobby is nice but the rooms are not up to resort level quality, (cracks in bathroom wall, paint is tired) the dining room does not have the service one would expect for the prices.

All in all, Lakeway Resort is a beautiful place, despite the low level of Lake Travis. The property is laid out well & it has a good resort feel: laid back, plush, & something I think of when I hear of “yacht rock.” The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is, in all my attempts to call, in booking my stay, as well as questions while in our room, no one ever answered the phone. I called 3 times prior to booking to ask questions & no one answered. Staying at the resort, I called the property front desk / operator from our room twice to ask questions about amenities, & no one answered.

Spots on the carpet. The bathroom was small. The pool is not big. My neighborhood pool is 5 times bigger. Pool is fine for very young kids. Overall the facility is clean with nice view. It was just a OK resort. I was not impressed. My kids were bored.

The resort only has one restaurant and one menu. No specials were offered. The food was excellent but staying there for several days, it became boring pretty quickly. Also, the pool bar wasn't open, even though the weather was wonderful. The staff was very nice and helpful. It's VERY VERY quiet there when I stayed (off season)

Old but smells great ! Resort fee should be optional... not everyone will want to go to the resort ... but still you have to pay for it.

The hotel seems to be old and the AC/heater are very out dateed every time the unit would turn on or off it would sound like knocking on the door. We really could not sleep because of the noise of the Ac/heater unit.
