Tout d’abord, nous avons été relocalisé à notre arrivée dans un autre hôtel qui était situé à presque 1 heure de Athènes. Ce qui nous a causé beaucoup de soucis puisque c’était notre seule journée pour visiter cette ville. Nous devions également y retrouver des amis pour la soirée mais malheureusement nous n’avons pas pu les rejoindres puisque nous étions maintenant beaucoup trop loin… sans oublié la journée suivante où nous étions supposé aller visiter les musées avec eux mais que vue la situation nous été confiné à l’hôtel en attendant le retour d’appel de l’hôtel. La communication entre les deux hôtels ne se faisait pas, il fallait répéter sans cesse la situation qui semblait ne pas les incommoder. La première hôtel disait qu’il allait nous contacter pour trouver une solution mais il ne l’ont jamais fait. La deuxième hôtel disait que ce n’était pas leurs problèmes. Nous avons passé presque la journée entière à attendre l’appel de l’hôtel ce qui nous a empêché de profiter de l’endroit. Sans oublier qu’à cet endroit était isolé de tout. Donc nous avons dû dépenser des frais inattendu.

I went back into a reservation to see if breakfast was included and found out that we were supposed to get a room upgrade and a bottle of wine. The hotel also said that it was very quiet and our room was nothing quiet It sounded like we were beside a raceway all night long. Our bed was just two twin size beds setting 1 in apart we slept sideways so they didn't scoot apart.

The condition of the room was below par for the Wyndham name. They did not let us pay additional and opt for breakfast which is utterly ridiculous. The rooms and facilities dont match the pictures. Overall, I'd say they are overcharging for rooms of poor quality. Cleaning is good.

Good location. Shower was broken and while I took a shower my room flooded. They sent someone to dry it but when I came back the floor was still wet and smell bad. I asked to change rooms and they said it wasn’t possible. Also, they control the AC and at night it was crazy hot and sleeping was more like a nightmare.

Duşlar çok kötü. Duşakabin yok ve duş sonrası banyo su içinde kalıyor. Otelde otopark görünmesine rağmen karşı otelin parkı kullanılıyor ve günlük 20€ para talep ediliyor. Otel resimlerinde havuz görünüyor fakat terasta 40 cm derinliği olan küvet kadar bir havuz var. Keainlikle kullanılamıyor. Wyndham Grand tercih esilmesinde fayda var.

I booked a room the Superior Room with King size mattress but instead got a room with two Twin mattresses put together. The twin mattress room was a different option which we didn’t book. After 5 mins of getting in the room, we noticed this difference and asked if it was a mistake. The staff was unsure of the different rooms offered by their hotel on Expedia, and straight up said all rooms have 2 Twin mattress and none of them have king size mattress. Also, we were suppose to get a complimentary Wine Bottle as an VIP Silver Expedia member but we never received it. The bathroom water after the shower always clogged and my feet were dipped in 2 inch of water after 10 mins of shower! The toilet paper roll was unhinged. Not 5 star hotel. Shouldn’t be listed as 5 star

The room was very clean and comfortable with great air conditioning and an excellent bathroom.The breakfast spread was amazing. There was a lot to choose from. It is located right next to Metaxourgeio station and is well located. The surrounding streets are a bit seedy though.

Stay away!
This is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The common area looks like something from a cheap hostel, some of the employees were rude, and there were so many things lacking, considering they call it a 5 star hotel. For example, the bathrobes didn’t have a belt, there were no slippers, there was no light in the kitchen area (had to use a flashlight to use the espresso machine), we didn’t get a water bottle daily as promised, no soap in the shower... The pool was tiny, and filled with bugs and feathers, really disgusting. They advertised for happy hour but refused to give us the discount. The breakfast was disappointing, and a lot of the things were empty. There were not enough tables for the guests, so you had to walk around and collect cutlery from the other guests’ tables and sit outside in the burning heat (this was during the heatwave when Acropolis closed). This trip to Athens was part of our honeymoon and this hotel definitely made our stay considerably worse. I will never come back, and I highly recommend that people stay away from this place if they don’t want to ruin their holiday.

The property itself was nice. We had a nice room with modern furniture and styling. The breakfast buffet was abundant and very tasty. The hotel does not clean your rooms and change your bedding daily unless you request it. We were not told this upon check in and only realised on our second day. When we put the sign up to get our room cleaned, the lady cleaned the room at an inconvenient time of 4pm. If you like to travel by foot and explore, the surrounding neighbourhood is dirty, unsafe and feels sketchy. If you are travelling by car to and from places, Wyndham Athens Residence is a fine accomodation.

The property was very clean, the breakfast was great and the staff was super friendly and very helpful when asking for directions to city attractions. The pool was just that and not designed for swimming. That was a little disappointing in this hot weather. The rooms were very modern, with strong wifi and a tiny fridge, but they were very small in size. They did have free appetizers in the rooftop bar during the evening hours of 1800-1930. Overall, my stay here was very pleasant and I would recommend for a short trip.

The roof top lounge area and view was excellent, but it was the only thing we really liked about the property. The floors and upholstery in the room were NOT clean (although sheets and towels and facilities were clean). The traffic outside was noisy throughout most of the night and we could hear the people in the adjoining room. We were NOT offered the VIP amenity (had to phone front desk and specifically request it) and were not offered a room upgrade. When we had breakfast, nobody greeted us, and since the place was full we had to find a space outside to eat, and had to ask other guests it we could take unused place settings since staff did not offer to provide cutlery. The metro stop outside is convenient-ish -- there is no escalator or elevator at this location, so lugging suitcases up/down multiple flights of stairs was not fun. In summary, I've stayed at ~10 other hotels in Athens, and I recommend all of them above this property, which is disappointing as this one was actually the most expensive.
