Absolutely lovely. The staff was super nice and we had a blast. The room was clean, warm and very comfortable, with some small cake at our arrival. We ate at the restaurant and it was really good, the breakfast was too. They had milk alternative for our son and everything was great. Perfect

Very nice hotel, the rooms are original and pleasantly decorated. Very pleasant stay. We were very well received by the manager with clear explanations. Please note that the restaurant closed at 6:00 p.m.

Séjour très agréable et confortable
Excellent accueil, chambre très confortable et cosy, avec d’excellents petits gâteaux en guise d’attention. Petit déjeuner excellent et tout le personnel était très attentionné. Seule déception : nous n’avons pas pu dîner sur place car le restaurant associé était ouvert jusqu’à 18h00 en semaine.

Une jolie chambre très confortable, un petit déjeuner délicieux et copieux et un personnel super gentil et efficace. Le petit plus, des gourmandises faites maison nous attendaient dans la chambre à notre arrivée. La localisation est parfaite près de commerces, de restaurants et de pubs.

Plus que parfait :-)
N’hésitez pas une seconde à séjourner dans cet établissement. Les lieux pour ont été rénovés en 2018 et dispose d’un grand confort. Le patron n’a pas lésiné sur les moyens pour offrir une prestation de standing : moderne, propre, tv connectée, wifi, parking... Traversez la route pour prendre un excellent petit déjeuner dans le restaurant servi par une équipe très sympathique. Même si Galway se trouve à 25min, foncez y !!!! Merci pour votre accueil :-)

Cozy, comfortable and clean room in Athenry
Cozy, comfortable and clean room with a pizza restaurant and bakery downstairs, parking in the back, and breakfast at their cafe across the street. We stayed here so we could easily drive up to Galway for the day and then get out to the Cliffs of Moher next morning as early as possible. Checked off all our boxes.

Such a cute lodge and the included breakfast was so good. The pizzeria nearby was a hit for us as well. Thank you to Scott for making himself and his staff available for a later check in as we had some car issues that delayed us. They responded promptly and the check in staff was awesome! Would highly recommend. You definitely get your money worth at this location.

Lovely, clean, accommodations. The Damien was especially helpful in getting a mat for the shower as the surface was slippery, and I being a hefty gal of advanced age, felt myself in danger of plunging through the shower doors. In future I would ask for a room with accessibility fixtures if available. Bed was adequate but mattress not firm enough to my liking. The complimentary breakfast was superb! Wait staff attentive and efficient. Good strong Irish tea, served piping hot, kept me twirling all hours. Conveniently located near the castle and priory ruins. Excellent tour guide, Mary, at the Athenry Heritage Center, packed so much history into an hour, and graciously took me through just after having a mob of school children.

A gem in the fields of Athenry
Staff very efficient and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good, pizzeria was excellent and very busy. Range of pizzas on offer with different topping combinations.

We stayed 2 nights in at the Lodge at the Old Barracks and it was the absolute hi light of our Ireland trip. The room was very clean, bright, spacious and quiet and the owners have thought of everything to make your stay very special. Beds are super comfortable and the bathroom was large, exceptionally clean and modern. Breakfast is excellent quality- wonderful friendly, efficient and helpful staff make the whole experience very special. We will definitely be back- thank you all.

The room and the hotel is really good. They have the detail to leave a piece of cake in the room. The only thing to mention is regarding the access to the parking what is quite narrow.

We were running late and it was easy to contact someone about checking in. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing that was a bummer was the stairs to our room, we had heavy luggage. The pizzaria under the Barracks was delicious. Safe, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast the next morning across the street was very good.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Lodge. The General Manager Scott, is such a gentleman, came and met us when we didn’t know how to get to the hotel and just an all around hospitable gentleman. We will definitely be back!

This was a great stay! We were greeted by our hosts and shown to our room which was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and served until noon. Checkout was a breeze, i would 10/10tecomend staying here!
