Comfortable and spacious. My niece (6 years old) said she wanted to “stay a thousand nights.” Loft area was fun for her and practical for the rest of us. Central location with parking close by. Recommended for groups with plenty of room, nice bathroom and full functional kitchen.

Perfect home away from home with everything you need including a dishwasher, an oven with newly laid baking sheets and a washer. The bed linens were very comfortable and clean.

Convenient to downtown. Apartment is nicely decorated and main bedroom is nice. Loft area is tight. Washer/dryer is a nice feature.

Good but very thin walls
Nice appartment with high quality. However, the appartment as very thin walls so you can hear everything from the street outside and the appartment next door. When someone walks around in the appartment next door the whole house was shaking and it sounded like they were in our appartment.

Super schönes Appartement. Sehr gute Kommunikation mit den Eigentümern. Appartement ist zentral gelegen, aber dabei sehr ruhig. Sehr stylisch. Einzige kleine Kritikpunkt: der Boden knarrt sehr laut. Wenn man mit vielen Leuten reist, könnte das stören.

Sehr detaillierte Angaben zum Check-in, die auch nötig sind, da die Unterkunft bzw. der Eingang nicht ganz einfach zu finden ist. Apartment ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Für uns wichtig war die Waschmaschine, die auch gut funktioniert hat. Die Lage ist ebenfalls ausgezeichnet.

Nice apartment on main street in Akureyri
There were three of us in a one-bedroom deluxe apartment (with a loft bed). Our daughter had the loft, which had three beds on the floor. She had to climb the steep ladder to accessed the loft. It has a low ceiling as the loft is sloped; therefore, one has to be really careful. This is OK for a young person, but not for elderly folks. But they also have a double sofa bed, if one doesn’t want to climb the ladder. There is no front desk at this property. I think the communication with the owners is not good. The check-in is at 5 PM, which I think is too late. We talked to the maid around 2 PM and she said that the room would be available at 4 PM, which it was. The instructions were not clear: again, we had to ask the maid for help in getting the key from the box. Closing the door was also tricky, and we had to leave the apartment unlocked. Good that crime is rare in Iceland! At the end of the day, we asked another maid, and she showed us the trick to lock the door. All these quirks should be explained in the email. The apartment itself has been remodeled recently and looks nice. Their website says “full kitchen.” But one major drawback is the absence of a microwave oven, which is absolutely needed. My daughter had a hard time with the washer/dryer combo. It would be nice to have brief instructions available for foreigners that aren’t used to European style appliances. This apartment was a good value. We enjoyed our stay 3-night stay.

Great location and decent apartment. A couple of things were broken and there were no bath towels (had to call the property manager to find one in the pull out bed) and no bathroom amenities (soap, shampoo, etc.)

Great Space!
The property was very easy to find with the provided instructions/photos. We used the paid parking lot across the street (it's free after 4 PM). The apartment was very spacious with lots of natural light. It was comfortable and very clean, and centrally located to several restaurants and attractions. We booked the apartment to do laundry during our 2-week trip. Being from the States, we had a hard tine figuring out how to use the washer/dryer combo, and ended up just hanging our clothes to dry (which ultimately took a couple days). My only suggestion would be to maybe have brief instructions available for foreigners that aren't used to a washer/dryer combo. Otherwise, everything was perfect!

Its location in the downtown and its proximity to the airport are a plus. The place is very neat/clean. ------ I was a little disappointed that no toiletries like bath soap and shampoo were available. Responses to inquiries were a bit slow to none.

The apartment was lovely, if a bit noisy. Communication was very bad, received instructions which were out of date. Didnt have access code to get in. Number i had was for previous owners. Met some other guests who had the same issue. The listing suggests there is parking with the apartment- not the case. Recent changes mean parking is charged for between 10am and 4pm. Access to street outside of apartment is restricted through the day. There is a car park through the alley access, which is very close but has to be paid for. Free parking is available at the Hof which is a few minutes walk away. Very happy with location, near all the main sites - whale watching, the church, shops and botanical gardens. Enjoyed the stay once the chaos was sorted. I would say the loft"bedroom" is only suitable for older children.

This place was amazing. We were arriving late and I called (the phone numbers on google, website and expedia for here should be upgraded but that's minor. A guy named Gudbjorn answered. I wasn't receiving his emails for the check in instructions (due to an issue with my email). He was so patient and eventually sent me a text with all the info. He was amazing (thank you). Appartamento molto bello pulito molto confortevole, c'è la lavatrice, le camere sono su più piani, in pieno centro. Peccato che il gestore ci abbia inviato mail sbagliata con indicazioni per un altro appartamento, abbiamo dovuto aspettare più di un ora e mezza, cercando tramite le Guesthouse nelle vicinanze un contatto telefonico che potesse aiutarci. Per nostra fortuna abbiamo trovato una persona che conosce la commessa del negozio sottostante, siamo arrivati in città in prima serata e questo ci ha permesso di trovare un contatto , se fossimo arrivati a tarda notte probabilmente avrei dovuto dormire in auto. Al momento in cui siamo riusciti a contattarlo il gestore si è mostrato alquanto sgarbato e sgradevole senza riconoscere che aveva commesso un grosso errore nel fornirci una indicazione sbagliata o non l'aveva proprio fornita. Il numero di telefono indicato sulla pagina della prenotazione risulta sempre irraggiungibile. Nella mail ricevuta per il check-in vengono indicati due numeri di telefono e due email, i telefoni sono sempre irraggiungibili le email completamente inutili visto che a quel contatto non risponde nessuno. Pessima esperienza, per quanto bello sia l'appartamento purtroppo la gestione dell'accoglienza si è rivelata superficiale e approssimativa

The property is very clean and comfy. Kitchen has dish washer and washer /dryer. Enough kitchen tools and utensils for preparing a quick meal, but you have to bring your own cooking oil and spices. Really convenient location. Check in staff (she is also the cashier of Icewear store) was really kind and very helpful.

EXCELENT LOCATION!!! Beautiful apt.
Beautiful apartment. Excellent location. Well appointed. Very clean. There is a sitting area which allows you to look out over the main street. Enter through ICEWEAR store downstairs to check in. I would highly recommend staying here. Only problem was we had difficulty locking door.
