Un moment hors du temps
Un très bel endroit, au cœur du de la belle région du Speyside qui constitue une base parfaite si vous souhaitez visiter les distilleries de la région. L'hôtel est calme et plein de charme, et comporte plusieurs de pièces où se détendre (bar, bibliothèque, etc). Le bar à lui seul vaut le détour avec ses quelques 700 whiskies... Les chambres sont calmes, spacieuses, fonctionnelles, confortables et agréables. L'ensemble est décoré avec goût. L'accueil est chaleureux et le personnel très serviable. Nos bagages ont été montés pour nous dans notre chambre. Le restaurant en revanche n'a pas les moyens de ses prétentions. Le menu unique, plutôt cher (plus de 32 pounds sans le vin) n'était absolument pas à la hauteur tant pour la qualité des produits que pour l'exécution des plats. Dans l'ensemble, un très bon souvenir. Ça vaut le coup ne serait-ce que pour l'ambiance du lieu... à condition de dîner ailleurs!

Personnel pas à la hauteur de l'hôtel
Dans chaque chambre occupée par 2 personnes, il n'y avait qu'un seul jeu de serviettes. Nous en avons réclamé à l'accueil qui nous a répondu qu'on les aurait dans 1H (nous étions arrivés vers 18H et nous voulions nous doucher). En outre, nous avions réservé l'hôtel 5 mois à l'avance en précisant que nous voulions des lits jumeaux, or 1 chambre avait juste un lit standard de 140. On ne nous a pas proposé d'échange. Très décevant pour un hôtel de cette qualité, le personnel n'est pas à la hauteur.

The location and rooms were wonderful but this was badly let down by other aspects of the experience. The water pressure to our room was poor, this was reportedly affecting the whole top floor and supposedly getting fixed but was never resolved whilst we were there - at times we weren't able even to wash our hands in the sink and the shower completely stopped working in the middle of use in the morning. Our stay was made more unsatisfying when we went to check out to be asked to pay for our extra charges. This consisted of about £70 which had been charged to our room by someone at the whiskey bar, however we hadn't visited the bar during our stay. Thankfully they did not make us pay this charge but does highlight that a mistake was made either internally or accidently by someone. Although the location and room were lovely the issues left a very sour taste about our stay.

This was the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy the peace of the area. Staff was great and accommodations clean and comfortable. Also - best restaurant in the area - try the Haggis bombs.

Really nice Hotel with friendly staff. Room was really comfy and clean. Breakfast was excellent, I had the Eggs Benedict both mornings. Calum from the Quaich Bar is really friendly and helpful.

Fantastic hotel.
Everything about this hotel is amazing. Beautiful setting, fantastic food, great service, impeccably clean room and a well stocked whisky bar.

Small town, great hotel
Nice hotel in Craigellachie. Don't miss the scotch bar if you want to try a wide variety of scotches. The restaurant and the bar on the lower level has great food. All of the staff were friendly for aur one night stay.

Nice hotel - with caveats
Negatives TV in room 19 doesn’t work. I raised this with the staff and was told it was probably the antenna and bad weather. I explained the issue and staff member came to the room to confirm it didn’t work. Then told me there wasn’t a spare and the maintenance guy probably wouldn’t come out. It was just after 8pm. On check out I told another staff member that the TV didn’t work and was told it was probably the antenna and bad weather…well rehearsed. I re explained and now I’m doing a bad review out of their reluctance to acknowledge this fact and do anything about it. Food in restaurant was OK. Nothing special but good enough. Bed had hair from previous guests in. More than what you’d class as appropriate. Positives Friendly engaging staff. Breakfast was included and was nice. Mix of cooked breakfast and what was available on the side, yoghurts, fruit and juices. Good location Nicely decorated rooms and had a whiskey bar - we didn’t use it but did pay it a perusing visit Would We stay again - yes, I just wished more would have been down about the TV.

Hot water in the morning was not available, only two restaurants in the area to choose from, room was very warm and bed was not very comfortable. Upon checkin the staff were very accommodating as we arrived early. Hotel Restaurant was very good but you need a reservation

Perfect
Hotel was perfect for our visit to the Macallan distillery. The bar/restaurant was ideal for our evening meal and was nice and cosy. Room was lovely and clean and breakfast was delicious.

Highly recommend
We had a great time. Food in the Spey Inn was great. The Quaich is a must, even if you’re not a whisky drinker. Callum made our visit - his knowledge of whisky and it’s history is second to none

Perfect location to explore Speyside/ distilleries
We stayed for 2N in July and found the hotel, location and accommodation ideal for our purposes. Our spacious room with a view, described/labelled as Comfy, was exactly that. Food in the hotel in the two bars/restaurants was ideal, as witnessed by the extensive number of non-residents attending over the weekend. Staff were courteous and friendly. It was also ideally located for the whisky experiences we undertook on Speyside. Added to that the Quaich whisky bar in the hotel was magnificent, as were the eclectic whisky recommendations from staff and knowledgeable locals.
