A lovely warm greeting on arrival from all of the staff. A delightful room , pleasant bar and superb food. Faultless! Home made pie was my highlight! A lovely village to walk around too. Only a one night stay but would be back.

Lovely Inn. Lovely atmosphere and the young crew of staff a credit to the management team. Special mention to George who served us an early pot of tea as we came down for breakfast 30mins early!! Top marks for George The Yorkshire Breakfast was amazing :)

Friendly and professional. Evening meal was excellent value for money and the hearty breakfast set me up for the day ahead. I'll be back up in the area on business and will always be looking to stay again.

Romantic getaway. Wonderful, clean airy room, huge bed, huge air bath all really well set out and comfortable. Sadly there were issues with the electrics apparently and food was not available which was a shame but couldn’t fault the manager/host who gave recommendations

A fantastic place to stay. Great value for money.
Warm & helpful welcome in arrival even though we arrived at tea time on Saturday night. A table in the restaurant had been reserved for us even without us having to ask beforehand. The room was lovely, clean, spacious, with a huge bed & all facilities we required, as well as a Whirlpool bath & separate shower. The bed was huge & very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was reasonably priced & delicious as well as a good variety. Drinks were reasonable too. An excellent place to stay & worth the money.

Both my wife and I had a super stay the food was excellent and we asked for the chef to be complimented on his/her skill. We eat frequently in top restaurants and I have to say the food at the Oak matches the best. The staff were friendly and very helpful we shall be back

Lovely pub stay in a quiet Yorkshire village
Great place to stay for a couple of nights. Very friendly staff, pub food and drink was reasonably priced. the the room we stayed in was lovely very large bed and well equipped bathroom with bath and separate shower.

Fantastic Accommodation, Bar and Restaurant - with lovely food and all the staff we met were very friendly. A great find and we had a great one nights stay. Excellent location just 15-20 minutes in the car from York City Centre.

A wonderful bed and breakfast
I had a great stay at the Oak Tree Inn. Although my business meeting was in Leeds the additional travel time was well worth it for the hospitality on offer, the beautiful room, and the wonderful dinner and breakfast. Exceptional value for money and I will stay again and try the other inns/hotels in the group. A very satisfied customer.

Very pleasant stay. Staff were excellent and food very good. The room itself was very comfortable. A slight problem with the shower was instantly sorted. If I had any complaint, Ithought £9.25 for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc was a bit steep!! Nonetheless I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and probably will.

Nice and cosy stay
The inn is well situated as a base to explore North Yorkshire. Everything from check in to food (dinner and breakfast) was exceptional and cosy. The room was well equipped with all basic necessitates, providing good comfortable rest. It was a very pleasureable stay.

We have stayed before and had a great stay so returned. We had a different room and the wifi just didnt work which was very inconvenient when you are on a business trip. I arrived from Glasgow needing to catch up on emails and do some work in the privacy of my room and was unable to do this. To avoid using my own 4G at my cost (which is not free wifi included) I had to sit in the bar area which is not conducive to concentrating on work. The staff did offer for us to change rooms but we were all unpacked and sorted time was of the essence. The Oak Tree is a lovely place, the food and service is amazing but we didnt like the Walnut room it was a bit noisy above the bar with doors banging and also the shower ceiling is very tight.

Don't usually stay at pubs/inns but looked smart and it definately delivered. Fabulous warm, large, comfortable room. Excellent tea/coffee supplies. Great bathroom products including separate conditioner and good shower. Great evening meal selection in a wonderful setting. Good breakfast with great fresh coffee and very considerate, helpful staff. I would definately stay again.

Very Pleased with our stay
Just stayed the one night, Friday night. Very nice room, love the glasses chandelier. Coffee supplied was a lovely touch, as was the fresh milk. The bed was so comfortable and had an excellent nights sleep. The breakfast was the best we have had in a B&B. Quality products and really tasty. I would stay again. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Everything was really good except for 2 things: 1. Noise from (probably) kitchens - all night cause my wife a sleepless night. 2. A very nasty smell (from drains?) in toilet which persisted all night. Such a shame because staff and Hotel were otherwise lovely.

Fab accommodation...lovely breakfast.
Check in was good, I even had my bag carried to the room which is rare these days. The room was lovely and very clean with a comfy bed and six fab plump pillows. The highlight of our stay I have to say though was the breakfast....it was served in a cosy part of the pub and arrived piping hot....absolutely delicious!

If you have a vehicle this is the place to stay in the York area. Guy and the entire staff are excellent. 15 minute drive to the park and ride. Parking there was free 2 pounds and you are in the old part of the city. Stayed there 3 days. Would definitely stay again if I have a vehicle. The cheapest place we stayed and the best.
