Bon hôtel et très calme
Hôtel bien situé pas trop loin du centre ville on peut même y aller à pied. Petit déjeuner très bien. Seul petit reproche la salle de bain très petite.

The staff were pleasant and the Breakfast was nice but the room was honestly awful. Fridge warm and dirty, shower flooded all over bathroom after 1min use and couldn't be fixed until the morning. Air com dripped and caused a soaking wet carpet in entrance way. Beds were made but not properly and duvet too small on kids bed single duvet for a double sheet. Bathroom was tiny couldn't shut the door without going into the shower. Door didn't lock and handle was coming off. I expect more from my past experiences with IHG brand.

Leider ist das Hotel ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und müsste dringend renoviert werden. Bettwäsche sowie Handtücher hatten teilweise Löcher und auch die Zimmerausstattung ist renovierungsbedürftig. Das Personal war jedoch durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit.

First the positives, very pretty and nicely laid out, clean room and breakfast was excellent. But our experience overall wasn't what we hoped for. When we came in, they lost our booking and when we finally sorted it all out and got a room, it wasn't the room we booked for! Instead we went from a king to a double room. When we got to our room, the door was ajar with some dirty cloths stopping it from closing and a half empty McDonald's cup outside our room. We were told this was the cleaner but didn't seem to see it as a big issue. Overall kind of disappointing because the hotel itself was excellent.

The hotel menu is good, with a decent selection of food and variety. However the fried fish was greasy with too much batter. The breakfast menu is excellent with a good variety of both hot and cold food, and beverages. Our room was clean and comfortable, but was spoiled somewhat by some poorly maintained fittings which were suffering from wear.

Hi. Charged £50 on my debit card. Awaiting refund. I was told on check in the £50 was just to authorize my account incase I charged anything to the room.

Staff were attentive and made a huge difference to our stay. We had four young children in our party and didn’t feel uncomfortable, the children were welcomed and cared for. Lovely breakfast buffet, plenty of various options. Great location - a very short bus ride in to the centre of York city (which the kids loved). Could’ve easily walked. Hotel provided us with a city map and directed us. Really helpful. Will definitely be visiting again.

I booked 3 rooms for one nights stay after my 60th Birthday party. The staff were excellent especially Hayley who said she would make sure all three rooms were side by side, when we arrived they were. At breakfast the choice was superb we didnt arrived for breakfast until nearly 10am. Everything was fresh and plentiful. There was no HP sauce but ipon asking a member of staff it was replenised immediately. Overall I could not fault ANYTHING about our stay only the beds were so comfy we ALL slept much later than planned!!!

It would have been nice to have a set of drawers to put clothing in. There wasn’t any information as to how to get the TV to work. However, the hotel was very clean, staff were very pleasant and the breakfast had a great choice.

stress free christmas getaway
was looking for a stress free restful Christmas get away, and that's what we got, comfortable clean. friendly cleaning restaurant and reception staff. we went for the accommodation and breakfast package and were very happy with both. definitely thinking of coming back and doing the full tourist bit

A calm clean relaxed hotel
A spacious calm hotel out of the city walls by the racecourse. Very easy to get a bus in and out of the city. Friendly and helpful staff. Free onsite pafking excellent. Perfect location for York parkrun!

Great hotel and staff
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff helpful especially the chap on night reception on 191223. My partner had bad toothache. She was standing outside getting fresh air. He kept checking on her to make sure she was ok
