Les geo sont vraiment acceuillants, gentils, talentueux. il y a de gros efforts sur les activités . Expedia offre un forfait VIP qui ne donne aucun avantage , tres décevant car l'hotel avantage leurs clients Privilège...serviettes , piscine, resto, plage. Mais cette deception passée le séjour a ete merveilleux. Puerto aventura est sécuritaire magnifique village.

Au début, nous devons héberger à Catalonia Riviera Maya Resort, le l'hotel était plein et les installation n'étions pas selon les photos du site, heureusement nous avions reçu l'option d'upgrade et aller à l'hotel Catalonia Gand Costa Mujeres all suites, et ceci montrait la différence. Bonne place, les installations sont de premier niveau et très chic.

Franchement rien ne m'a plus. C'était sale cela ne vaut pas un 4 etoile les employés désagréable aucun d'entre eux ne parlent Français. Les chambres catastrophique ne reflètent pas les photos je deconseille fortement. Les plages impossible de s'y baigner l'eau est noir il y a des camions et trateau pelle sur les plages car elles sont pleines d'algues

El hotel está muy lejos del Aeropuerto, dentro de un fraccionamiento, instalaciones comunes aceptables, comida buena, bebida promedio, alcohol hasta las 11pm, no hay room service, las habitaciones standard están deplorables, aire acondicionado viejo, decoración deprimente, la "playa" son como 100m cuadrados de arena y si vas en temporada de sargazo es espeluznante, si le tienes miedo a los ratones huye de ahiiii hay unos animalitos que son como ratas gigantes de 5kg no hacen nada pero hay decenas. Solo dos cosas rescatables para mí gusto las personas que trabajan ahí y que se ve que hacen si mejor esfuerzo y la comida

Excellent buffet varié avec des produits de qualité. Excellent service dans tous les restaurants. Restaurant japonais très bon. Spa et qualité des massages très bien. Personnel accueillant. Lits très confortables. Chambre démodée, mais propre. Environnement sécuritaire. Le seul hic: la plage. Tres petite plage. On ne peut pas se balader sur le bord de mer. Sinon A1. Je le recommande aux gens qui n’attachent pas d’importance à la plage. Plusieurs belles piscines propres avec bar et différents buffets le jour également à l’extérieur. Vraiment surprise par la qualités des prestations.

Much better than expected
This resort currently has a 7.4 out of 10 score. Thus, I tried to make a reservation somewhere else, but it was too late and hence other options were much more expensive. I decided at the end to give it a chance and I am happy that I did. For starters, given that I am a frequent Caribbean visitor, they upgraded me for free to their Privileged status, for which I am grateful. Food and drinks are great, especially in Bloved. Service standard was generally high. For me, the worse is the beach, which is not bad at all, but not made of the finest white sand. A brilliant workaround has been to close the beach with a barrier of hollow pyramids, which provides a home to a range of tropical fishes and the greatest snorkel out of a reef. I could see there exotic porcupine fishes. Closer to the shore, a lion fish and a scorpion fish (so do not step barefoot on rocks there!). Best of all, there was a majestic eagle ray (beautiful to watch but dangerous if you provoke, so no touching!). A part of the beach has a sandy bottom, which is perfectly safe for those who would rather avoid these beautiful creatures.

Super beau SPA. 2 Plages et 1 Lagon pour se baigner. Eau un peu rocailleuse pour les 2 plages. Mais pour la plongée en apnée c'est super. Il y a une barrière de corail pleins de poissons devant l'hotel. Magnifique!!!

The staff were very unhelpful when any issues arose and most were not super polite in normal interactions. It was extremely disappointing. Food options were minimal and low quality, especially with one buffet closed due to renovations, they did not plan properly and seemed like there wasn’t enough staff or seating for those at the 2 resorts. The bartenders were personable and welcoming but that was it. Won’t return to a Catalonia resort due to this stay and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

It was nice that the ocean in front of the property was closed off by rocks so you could swim safely. Great for snorkeling. Lots of entertainment throughout the day. Cute sereque on the property which make you smile whenever you see them

We just got back from this resort and loved it. The dining options were awesome and the staff was AWESOME!! The beach was beautiful and lots of snorkeling The entertainment staff was wonderful and the shows were worth watching!! We would return for sure.

We stayed in a privilege family suite. The decor was simple but nice and the patio was a nice size with a table and chairs in addition to sun chairs. There were lots of restaurants but we weren't able to get a reservation at any of them and instead chose to eat at restaurants set aside for our level of room. The food was just ok, nothing exceptional. The drinks were delicious and strong for an all inclusive. Our suite also came with access to a private beach in addition to the regular beach on site. We visited the spa and had amazing treatments including one of the best massages of my life! Overall, I'd return to this property.

This resort provides a good experience with its cleanliness (I saw staff cleaning pools, windows, washrooms throughout the day), its various meal options, and helpful staff. One thing to note is that this resort is VERY kid friendly. For families with little ones, the resort not only provides daily kid oriented activities, but they also have a dedicated space for kids arts and crafts, as well as toys. Think of it as a playgroup area. One thing I will note is that the beach is nothing too special. When it is not covered by seaweed, it is decent. Overall, this is a very good experience for families to enjoy.

The staff are all amazing and this property is so well managed that everything ran smoothly and is clean and well-functioning! The reviews on here were griping about the reservation process for the special restaurants, and granted, that can be frustrating, but the buffets are great! We got in to all the restaurants as well and the Mexican and Tuscana are by far the best. Pepe and Gabi were fun animators and Miguel knows how to give the best massages! We got a free hydrotherapy appointment at the Spa with the Expedia VIP perk and that was great as well. We booked a day-excursion with the Concierge to Tulum, Cenotes and Snorkeling through Mayan Adventures and it was fantastic. The medic helped out injured kid, room service for the kids on date night, helpful and fun bartenders... it was all a big "recommend"!

We just returned. Here is my review. It's a long one. Upon first entering the resort I could not understand how anyone could ever leave a negative review. All the Youtube videos and positive reviews we read could not do this place justice. First impressions of the property are amazing. We did not have any trouble booking reservations (I booked them at exactly 8am everyday). We ate at the Mexican place and the grill. The Mexican place was incredible. The grill not so much, being from Texas I know what a good steak should taste like and that was not it. However, it wasn't a big deal because we just went and ate at the buffet after. Most meals at the resort were fantastic with the exception of the one at the grill and one lunch at the indoor buffet. We just left and went to the outdoor buffet instead. The drinks although not amazing were pretty good. I've been to a 5-star all-inclusive before and Catalonia had much better drinks. We drank our fill, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and never got sick and even better didn't get a hangover and trust me we drank plenty. If I was to say anything negative, it would be on the room. We stayed in a privilege suite on the second floor facing the garden. Definitely not the best location. I was not happy that it faced the garden and was upstairs but we made do. Also, every time I used my blowdryer I brought from home it would kill the power to AC. Needless to say I stopped using the blowdryer. The entertainment was top notch. I have been on m

This was a beautiful place but I would not return simply due to the inconvenience of getting a reservation at the restaurants. It is NOT right that everyone should be made to use the internet to get a reservation only to find that all 4 restaurants are completely booked up 2 minutes after 8:00am when booking is open to all guests. The staff were amazing though in all areas of the resort!!!

It was very difficult to get a reservation for dinner. Thought it was just us but everyone was complaining. You would get kicked off quickly when trying to reserve and then there was no more vacancies. You had to do it each day by 8am. We went downstairs for help and there were long lines and eventually no reservations left. The room wasn’t very nice. Outdated only 3 plug ins worked no mirror except in bathroom and you could only see top half of your body. The room just wasn’t nice. Also, felt a little misled by being on ocean. Couldn’t get to ocean except through rocks beach was very small

Catalonia was beautiful. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was easy to navigate and had many options for food. It is walking distance to a small gated community area with restaurants, shops and dolphins that you can watch swimming and diving. My only critique would be that the a la cartes were difficult to book. The beach was rocky but also not crazy busy like other resorts I have been making it enjoyable. We look forward to returning.

We had a room with two beds, the beds were pushed together and could only be separated enough to walk sideways in between, however the beds were comfortable. The beach area was really nice and the snorkeling was good. The swim up bars were small so always very busy, however, the other bars were easier to get a drink. The property was nice and well kept, the staff were friendly. The only show we saw was Moana and it was good. My biggest complaint was the food. The food was mediocre at best. It was either undercooked or overcooked and not very tasty. Breakfast was OK, the snack bar was OK. The fruit and salad items were fresh. There were a few items that were good. we did not eat at the lunch buffet. The dinner buffet was terrible. The burger bar was probably the best place we ate at. It was extremely difficult to get a reservation at a specialty restaurant even though whenever I walked by they were only about half full. The only reservation we managed to get was at the Mexican at 9pm. The food was not that good.

This resort is gorgeous in the traditional sense, large palapa roofs, lush vegetation and so many trees! There are cute Capybaras roaming the property and I’ve never seen them before, but they were adorable, just don’t leave a banana on your pool chair, because it will get stolen, lol! The beach is lovely, the rocky side has excellent snorkelling with so many friendly and curious fish, my son and niece loved it! We upgraded to Privileged, which gave us access to the Privileged pool, which was less busy and Bloved restaurant which was AMAZING. I was concerned because I had read some negative reviews but this resort was so peaceful and beautiful with so much to do! It’s also a short walk into town to shops, restaurants and bars, which was fun to explore and do safe. We rented golf carts and explored Puerto Aventuras and it was so much fun!! The only negative was you are required to make reservations at many of the restaurants and it is done online. I heard from another guest they open reservations online at 8:00 am. By 8:05 they are all booked and if you have a larger party (we had 6) you can just forget it. We didn’t get to try any of the reservation restaurants and that was very disappointing.
