shopping , restaurants et animations a 5 minutes a pieds , par la rue ou par passage semi privé. petit déjeuner excellent ( meme si debutant a la plaque a oeufs !!! ). accueil excellent , voituriers super . salle de bain avec baignoire un peu petite , préfère douche , seul défaut pour moi .

Sejour de 4 jours a capetown
Nous avons passe un excellent sejour au cap. L emplacement de l hotel est ideal acceder au water front avec ses nombreux restaurants et boutiques. Le petit dejeuner de l hotel est correct. La piscine est decevante : petite et surtout non chauffee. Tres bonne salle de sport. Les chambres sont assez vieillotes avec une douche ds un tres mauvais etat. Globalement loin d un 4 etoiles

Ayant réservé une heure plus tôt via Expedia nous avons du attendre une heure à la réception le temps que le manager de l'hôtel réussisse à joindre par téléphone la centrale de réservation après d'apres négociations. Pas très efficace le système...

Beaucoup mieux qu'espéré
J'ai choisi cet hôtel plus pour son prix au départ. Au final je suis ravi de ce choix, l'hôtel est situé sur porstwood street un escalier vous sépare du waterfront, un autre de l'arret de bus drop and off... et à 20 mn de marche du centre ville. A lire les commentaires je m'attendais à un vieil hôtel... Et bien non certes un coup de rafraichissement des peintures et des moquettes lui donnerait un petit coup de jeune mais ce charme surrané lui va plûtot bien ... Le personnel est charmant et aidant , le petit déjeuner ultra frais et pantagruelique... La propreté est irréprochable ...

Notre second séjour au Commodore. L'hôtel est très bien placé et le personnel très agréable.

Les chambres sont très propres, et le personnel contrôle constamment le niveau de confort. La qualité du déjeuner du matin est excellente, et le service sur place l'est autant. L'hôtel est très bien situé, près du Alfred and Victoria WaterFront, un site touristique de première qualité.

Hotel de bonne qualité malgré quelques défauts
Le service est un peu lent. Les cartes magnétiques d'accès aux chambres dysfonctionnent très souvent. Par ailleurs, dans les chambres, un bruit permanent de moteur de ventilation (assez fort) est pénible (il s'arrête vers 23h et redemarre vers 5h). A part ces inconvénients, l'hotel est agréable.

Thé commodore: fabulous location and very comfortable
Loved every moment of our stay. Thé welcoming was warm. Thé staff are extremely friendly and thé service is very good and attentive. Thé pool area as well as thé lounge is very relaxing. Thé room is comfortable. I slept very well every night. It is a peaceful hôtel. Breakfast is very good.The location of thé hôtel is idéal. We found it safe. It is literally a four-minute walk from thé bustling waterfront which is thé safest area to stay in.

We enjoyed our stay. We were there 3 nights. The beds were comfortable, clean rooms, Hotel restaurant had an amazing breakfast buffet and dinner was also good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and would prepare a to go breakfast for our early morning adventures. we felt safe going out and walking to the store or to the waterfront. We would stay there again.

Excellent choice for a hotel. It is a 2 minute walk to the V & A harbor but you are out of the hustle and bustle and noise of the harbor. The junior suite was spacious with nice extra touches like cookies and a welcome chocolate on the pillow. They replaced linens every day and water bottles. The breakfast buffet was excellent with hot choices like made to order eggs, excellent fresh fruit and pastries as well as many other things. We ate dinner one night at the hotel and it was excellent. The staff was excellent. So friendly and helpful and always smiling.

It's close to the V&A area within walking distance, very convenient. Staff is professional and friendly. Food at the restaurant is surprisingly good.

You’re greeted with a warm smile. Very clean property and close to everything. All the staff are super nice, helpful, and willing to help with you anything. Especially at the front desk Andile, he helped my family with any questions, upgrading or any accommodations I needed. This location is perfect to the shops, harbor and have taxis readily available at the front door. Property was super clean and breakfast in the morning was scrumptious. My kids played in the pool, it was clean. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Most of the staff was excellent in being helpful with information. My bathroom looked clean except for one area behind the toliet. Room nice comfortable.bell men were very helpful in all aspects including storing luggage while going to the water port. Breakfast was excellent, bagels and cream cheese woukd be a nice addition to go with the other foods. Excellent variety of fresh fruits of many kinds. I was told all hotels turn off air for about 2 hours, the room got warm and I woke up early due to no air, from 4:00A.M. Till shortly after 6:00 if all hotels have this rule to follow it is what it is. I would strongly recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Location was fantastic so close to V & A Waterfront, yet on a quiet street. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the highlight of the day with so much variety of fresh and tasty offerings.

Unfortunately the only positive thing about The Commodore is the location. If you like rock hard beds (literally sleeping on the floor would be better) and bad pillows then this is the place for you. The service just wasn’t there for us. Of the 4 nights we were there on three of the days the valet brought out the wrong car for us so we had to wait long periods for our car. It was a plus this was included in our stay but it was never efficient. We had an awful experience at 1.30am with room service knocking on our door to deliver us food. We didn’t order the food and were fast asleep to be woken but them and tell them we didn’t order. After we had finally fallen asleep our phone rang at 2am and it was the room service lady accusing us of lying and saying that we did order room service and why did I send it away. She couldn’t accept that she had made a mistake and recorded the wrong room and ending up hanging up on me. 15 minutes later she called and hung up again. Complaining to the manager the next day, all we received was an apology and that they had a lot of new staff on, it’s not acceptable to be woken at that time and then accused of lying. Do not stay at this hotel, it was an awful experience for us in Cape Town, the only good thing was the location but there are others around.

Simplesmemte excelente. Superou todas as expectativas. Hotel muito bonito e bem conservado, decoração muito interessante, lindos arranjos de flores na recepção, café da manhã. Área da piscina grande e agradável, com árvores e pássaros. Boa academia com bons equipamentos. Espetacular café da manhã, com muitas variedades de pães, iogurtes, frutas, geleias, pães, frios e pratos quentes. Estação de omelete. Pessoal da equipe agradável e bem treinado, com destaque para a gerente, Petronella, o atendente da portaria/recepção Madoda e a atendente do café da manhã Xoliswa. Eficientes e com amplos sorrisos. A distância do Water front é de dois quarteirões apenas e uns 10 minutos de caminhada do aquário e do ponto de ônibus Hop on Hop off. Adoramos.

An amazing hotel
An excellent hotel. A superb breakfast. An amazing pool. Walking distance for a lot of places and to the water front. The Commodore is Near the principal point of bus hop on hop off. Friendly staff. Beautiful flowers at the visible places everyday.
