Paradis sur terre ! Je ne peux pas décrire à quel point c’est magnifique ! C’était ma première fois aux maldive et je pense j’ai trouvé mon hôtel, service au top, le personnel très très serviable ! Je veux mentionner Imran qui a été la personne grâce à qui mon séjour a été encore plus magnifique, je veux lui remercier personnellement. Il m’a fait découvrir la vie sous marine de maldive La nourriture au top .. j’ai pu voir des tortues requins tout … la plage est magnifique et rien à dire pour la propreté ! Le personnel est très très gentil ! Une de mes meilleures vacances Je recommande a 100000 %

Notre petit paradis
Nous avons séjourné du 10 au 21 janvier 2021 dans la chambre 154. Transfert en hydravion rapide sans trop d'attente. Pris en charge par Rifau qui a été notre référent pendant tout le séjour, Une personne ultra sympathique et serviable. La Water Villa est assez éloignée puisque c'est la toute dernière de l'île, elle a l'avantage d'avoir le lever et le coucher du soleil. Les villas mériteraient un petit coup de jeune car on sent que l'hôtel a bien quelques années. Mais le confort y est. Les 2 restaurants sont excellents, le buffet est délicieux et varié. Nous avons été servis par Saffan, Misbaah et Akram qui ont été top durant tout notre séjour. Le personnel en général est formidable et contribue à notre bien-être sur cette île paradisiaque. Le service du spa est parfait et les massages sont faits par deux Balinaises qui sont autant incroyables que tout les autres membres du personnels. C'est notre deuxième séjour sur l'île et nous avons été très touché par les intentions que nous avons reçu, encore merci. Il n'y a rien d'autre a dire, ce n'est peut-être pas la plus moderne des îles, ni la plus luxueuse, mais c'est notre petit paradis, promis nous reviendrons !

resort a taille humaine, calme et sernité
ile-hotel a taille humaine, ou on ne se sent pas en surnombre, place a la piscine ou a la plage facilement. Repas tres bons, offre avantageuse (bouteille de vin achetee peut etre consommee sur plusieurs repas...) pas de sollicitations pour des animations non desirées, pas de musique intempestive a la piscine... amener materiel palmes masque tuba car recif tombant tres riche a 50m de la plage... ( a chaque sortie on a vu plusieurs specimens parmi raies mobula/aigle/pastenague, tortues, requins pointes noires et evidemment foultitude de poissons de recif multicolores) pour ceux qui veulent se baigner sa masque, des chaussures plastique peuvent etre utiles pour ne pas se faire mal sur debris corail.... restauration tres bien et tres sain pas de tourista malgre crudites +++ bref un paradis... une des iles encore a taille humaine d'apres des suisses habitues qui viennent depuis 30 ans aux maldives et depuis 8 ans a veligandu....

Le Paradis des amoureux !
Eloignée de seulement 30mn en hydravion de l'aéroport international, dès l'arrivée la prise en charge est bien organisée avec un salon Véligandu pour attendre dans le confort. Cette île-Resort est très bien conçue : l'intimité est respectée malgré la pleine saison grâce à une conception de circulation et une implantation des bungalows bien pensée. Logés dans un pilotis, nous plongions directement dans le magnifique lagon habité par une faune très variée et très dense : le rêve pour les snorkelers. Le personnel est très agréable et discret. N'hésitez pas à consulter le médecin en cas de besoin il est adorable, rapide et efficace. Nous n'avons jamais aussi bien mangé à l'étranger et ce pendant 10 jours. Les currys sont à se damner... Jacuzzi avec vue mer un régal. Des petites attentions pour notre lune de miel avec une déco florale sur le lit et une bouteille de vin. Le tout inclus est compris avec les taxes et services donc pas de supplément . Bravo Véligandu, à refaire dès que possible

Un paradis en plein océan indien
Un endroit paradisiaque avec une proximité de l'aéroport à 20min en hydravion ce qui est parfait pour contempler les iles. Le personnel est très agréable et vraiment au service des clients, Nous avons été plus impressionné par la réalité que par les photos vus lors de la réservation. L'hôtel représente vraiment les attentes d'un voyage aux maldives. En résumé c’était parfait . Seul bémol les activités sont assez chers même si nous ignorons les tarifs des autres hôtels, hydravion trop cher également,et nous trouvons cela dommage aussi de devoir payer les boissons y compris l'eau même si nous avions réservés en pension complète. Enfin quoi qu'il en soit notre voyage de noce a été un merveilleux rêve réalisé qui sera à jamais gravé dans nos mémoires.

Hotel paradisiaque
A notre arrivée, nous avons été surclassés et avons donc séjourné 4 nuits dans un bungalow sur l'eau avec jacuzzi privé. Ce fut le paradis ! Le restaurant proposé des buffets incroyables avec un choix varié du petit dejeuner au dîner Nous avons dîné sur la plage au restaurant à la carte (en supplément). Dîner aux chandelles avec langoustes, un délice !

Un séjour de rêve en plein cœur d'une carte postale. Très beau resort avec ses eaux cristallines, resort et atoll pas trop grand, de bonne taille, nombreuses excursions en supplément (snorkelling/jet ski/sunset Cruise Dolphins...). Qualité du buffet très correct et très variés d'un jour à l'autre. Très bel aménagement des salles. Catégorie en villa water sur pilotis. Villa très spacieuse, magnifique vue sur la mer, lit King Size, literie de qualité, climatisation indispensable, salle de bain très correcte avec douche et baignoire à bain à remous. Terrasse privative avec son escalier qui descend directement dans la mer cristalline... Nombreux poissons au pied de la villa (raie, requin...).

un séjour paradisiaque
un séjour parfait, de notre arrivée à l'aéroport où nous avons été pris en charge en attendant l'hydravion (1/2h), sur place où on nous a présenté l'île et son fonctionnement (en particulier le All Inclusive à recommander). La chambre (Jacuzzi Water Villa côté Ouest comme demandé) était parfaite, faite 2x/j. Vraiment rien à redire et l'accès direct au site de snorkelling était idéal. Sites de snorkelling extra pour nous. On a pu voir tout ce qu'on pensait (poissons, coraux, anémones, requins, raies, tortues, dauphins...) et les sorties parfaites également. Le personnel était extra (mention spéciale au personnel du restaurant). Soins au spa parfaits La clientèle idéale également : on avait l'impression d'être seuls sur l'île ! C'était notre critère de choix pour ce petit complexe. Du coup, nous avons réussi nos vacances : repos, sérénité, activités snorkelling, rencontres sympathiques (personnel du Resort, certains clients, animaux !)... Bref rien à redire, nous y retourneront certainement et pensons sérieusement y emmener nos enfants même si il n'y a pas de club-enfant sur l'île (la plongée et la plage leur suffiront certainement). Rapport qualité/prix qui correspondait à ce qu'on était prêt à payer. En tous points : PARADISIAQUE !

L'île est merveilleuse, le personnel est très agreable. aucune fausse note. Lune de miel rêvé!!! Seul point négatif: nous étions en pension compléte et nous devions payer nos boissons durant le repas (3,50$ la bouteille d'eau du robinet!!)

Magnifique, nous avons passé mon mari et moi 1 semaine de rêve. Le personnel est fantastique, agréable et souriant, Le chef du restaurant nous à régaler, que se soit pour le déjeuner ou le soir. J’espère qu'on y retourneras et je conseil à tous se qui on besoin d'une vrai coupure avec la vie citadine que nous vivons de partir à Veligandu. S'est le repos totale est un calme inexplicable, merci encore à tous se qui travaille et qui font que Veligandu Island Ressort soit aussi formidable.

I should've been did this review in Sept 2021 when went for our honeymoon Rm 262. I seem to can't get this place out of my head and want to go back. Hands down from beginning to end, the staff met every need and made sure we were good. They were excellent! Very welcoming and friendly. The food was really good and our over water villa was beautiful. I heard they are doing some renovations. When it's complete we will definitely revisit.

I do not usually write reviews however Veligandu is an absolute gem! The island is breathtaking, the staff and service feels so personalised, the food is amazing and the weather unbelievable! My girlfriend and I are talking about our stay everyday since we got back. The island has everything to offer, we had quite relaxed days on the beach, incredible snorkelling with turtles and reef sharks to great party nights at the hotels bar. We cannot wait to go back next year although we will have to wait until after the renovations.

The location was lovely , beaches and Island verdure were also fabulous . We stayed in a water bungalow which was clean and spacious on the west ,sea ward , side of the Island. It benefitted from the sea breeze and sunsets . The food was excellent , buffet style , of a good quality and varied . Staff were obliging , obviously trained to be so . The sea plane transfer is an added cost (£650) and we had to wait 90 min for arriving passengers from other destinations to fill it before it would leave . This was irritating after travelling for 16 hours . The resort is dated and tired and does need an upgrade which is apparently happening shortly.

I love this resort. Worth the 18 hr flight from Toronto. Seaplane transfer was hassle-free. I booked an over the water villa (with a hot tub with a view of the ocean), full board (3 meals at buffet), no alcohol or drinks (except for coffee and whatever juice they have at the time). Each mango juice costed me $4 US a pop. Items in mini bar not included. Items, like souvenirs, you buy get charged to the room. I loved the over the water villa. So private and there were stairs out to the water (low tide in the am, high in the pm). There were crabs all the time on the deck (one and a couple on the steps). They try to avoid you. Transformer was provided, AC, TV. Far walk but it's what you get if you want seclusion. Island is so small though (love it). Food at Dhonveli and wi-fi were great. I really only need those two things to be happy. I didn't see too much seafood, but I don't like those anyway. From your deck, you can snorkel and see plenty of different varities of fish. Saw a shark and a couple of sting rays from my deck. Staff is warm and helpful. I travelled on my own and felt really safe. I could leave my phone/wallet at my table with no concerns at Dhonveli. Resort-specific stuff: Bring your own plastic bag for wet clothes. Resort tries to be environmentally conscious so no plastic bags available. Don't bring shoes you don't want to get sand in. I had a really special experience and plan on going back next year but maybe in April instead of May.

Wow, we went here for our 30th anniversary and we were not disappointed! Veligandu is absolutely amazing. The word paradise is often over used, but it is a truly fitting description. Everything was perfect; the staff, the services, the amenities, the facilities, the food, the atmosphere and the romance. It is a picture right out of a travel magazine. We can not say enough good things. If you are reading this, don't hesitate, book today. I promise you will not regret it!

A fabulous resort what more could you ask for in a vacation! Overwater bungalow, fantastic reef full of fish and coral made for great snorkeling and scuba diving. Good food and drinks! This resort sets the standard for a great Maldives vacation. From the moment we landed the staff were so kind and helpful I have nothing but good things to say about Veligandu Island Resort.

O hotel é sensacional em todos os sentidos. Ficamos 6 dias em sistema all inclusive e todos os dias as refeições eram diferentes e muito boas. Ficamos no bangalôs sobre a água com vista para o por do sol e foi maravilhoso, acordar com vista para aquele mar é inesquecível. Os funcionários todos prestativos, com arrumação de quarto de manhã e de noite antes de dormir. A vida marinha é muito rica, vimos tubarões, arraias, tartarugas passando em frente ao bangalô. Quase perfeito
O Resort realmente faz jus às suas ótimas avaliações. O quarto (Sunset Overwater Villa), arrumado pela manhã e à noite, é enorme e possibilita acesso direto ao mar. A roupa de cama é nova e macia e o chuveiro é bem forte. Há muitas atividades para se fazer, embora todas pagas à parte, à exceção da piscina. A qualidade da comida servida no buffet é excelente e muda a cada dia. Os únicos pontos negativos foram o lounge de chegada às Maldivas, que é compartilhado com outros hotéis e é muito fraco, somente servindo água, refrigerante e café, e a organização do traslado de volta da ilha até o aeroporto de Malé, que, se eu não tivesse pedido para trocar para um horário mais cedo, teria resultado na perda do voo internacional, dado o atraso da companhia aérea local (TWA) na saída do hotel. Nao fosse isso, teria sido perfeito. Em todo caso, recomendo o hotel e voltaria com certeza!

The island is a good size. There were times we were out on the beach by ourselves. It's almost like a private island! This is if you go during the rainy season though (which isn't that rainy). I'm sure the peak season is busier. My only complaint is that the beds are not that comfortable. Was expecting better. I give it 4 of 5 stars.

An unforgettable vacation! A great island with all the amenities for a great holiday. Courteous and helpful staff. Well organized transfer from Valena airport. Cleanliness, comfort, entertainment are all top notch. A rich selection of delicious dishes. Interesting entertaining evening activities. Every minute of our stay was wonderful! Also a pleasant surprise was organized for us on the anniversary. House reef was rich of corales and fishes (including sharks, turtles, murenas and many vore other). Thanks to all staff of the Resort! Special thanks the Oceanic Dive Center! Lugar incrível, natureza deslumbrante .. vale cada segundo. Recomendo o all inclusive .. mesmo não bebendo, os valores das bebidas, sucos e refrigerantes fica caro para os brasileiros. Portanto mesmo as pessoas que não bebem, compensa pegar o all-inclusive, que contempla além da alimentação as atividades e passeios, como mergulho e outros. Tbem vale a pena reservar parte da estadia nos quartos mais baratos e fazer upgrade no próprio hotel, que sai um preço diferenciado. Importantíssimo. 5 diárias é mais que suficiente .. peguei 7 dias, e já estava entediado.
