Great location, rooms comfortable but dated. Very noisy early in the morning with lorries doing deliveries and the cathedral bells ringing so keep that in mind

Dilapidated
this review is not aimed at the staff but the owners.My room was not clean because it was uncleanable. Peeling wall paper threadbare and dirty carpets, mould in the bathroom, dirty and scuffed walls. The wifi couldn't connect, there were no USB ports, the tv didn't work and the remote control was so dirty is was a health hazard. th ebuilding looks like it hasn't had any investment for decades. Don't fall for the excuse from Greene King that it is a an old building and it is quirky. It is dilapidated.

Great place to stay, location is good for both shopping and transport links and the staff are all very helpful. The breakfast was amazing but you need to book in advance as we left it too late on one day and as they were fully booked we had to go elsewhere.

Good location, convenient. good beers, good room.
it's an old, old building that has been changed and upgraded many times over the years. It is historic, close to the cathedral. Our room was clean and well kept, but some public areas were slightly tired (not surprising given its age). The pub itself was very good. We didn't eat this time but our experience of Greene King pubs means the food would be good value and well presented. We will stay again. There were signs that some rooms or areas are already being refurbished, which is probably an ongoing project for such an old building. Car parking: the St Martins Car Park (8 mins walk) has EV rapid and fast charge points, and costs £4 per 24 hours. Another closer council car park costs £6. An adjacent NCP car park probably costs more but is close by.

Love the Talbots friendly staff rooms are very clean and spacious the food In restaurant is always lovely parking and shopping is never a problem such a lovely place to stay

Lovely pub/hotel. Historic so rooms are character rather than modem hotel. Staff were amazingly helpful, polite and happy. Food was great breakfast one of the best I have had continental plus full English. Dinner was great too.

Perfect little place to stay with a pub directly downstairs. Our bin in the bathroom wasn't empty when we arrived, but this was likely just forgotten by housekeeping - not a big issue. Would stay again!

The staff were very friendy and polite. The breakfast was sufficient and very good value. The room was a little too warm for my liking but better that than being cold. I would certainly stay here again.

Good position
We had great time. The staff were friendly, we had a nice room but could do with decorating. Breakfast was ok but coffee and tea not so good.

Wouldn't return
The hotel rooms are run down, there was only warm or hot water available in the taps (no cold water from either the sink or the shower!). Staff were ok, but seemed pretty disinterested. Pub attached seemed quite nice. I have been overcharged for the booking, and it's proving incredibly difficult to get the refund sorted. Hotels.com have been useless.

Good value in the centre of Worcester
Chose the Old Talbot because I have stayed there before. A good pub with Greene King ales on draught, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the meals were on the upper end of pub grub.

Staff friendly... Cooked breakfast needs improvement: scrambled eggs & avocado inedible. Evening meal: salad & rump steak pretty good. The bed could do with a new mattress and pillows...one soft one firm. Great bath and plenty of hot water. All in all nearly 7 out of 10.

Overnight stay.
The staff were amazing. Very friendly and professional. Room was nice enough. Pretty basic but nice. Coffee & tea making facilities. Large bathroom. Amazing shower. Power shower. I didn’t want to get out from under it. Very hot too which was fantastic. Bed was very comfortable. The restaurant and bar was equally as good. Food was lovely and tasty. Overall a very nice place to stay. Central to where I needed to go. Would definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.
