Beautiful location relaxing accomodation
Great house for our inter-generational family lots of options for sleeping arrangements. A beautiful quiet garden sheltered by alarge variety of trees. Short 10 minute walk to beach, pub and local shops.

Spacious house with great vibe and the most beautiful garden
Five adults (family members) and two dogs stayed at this charming house in August and it was soooo lovely. The upstairs (loinge/kitchen/conservatory) is particularly appealing because it's flooded with light and spacious enough to be able to spread out in different areas. Needless to say, we loved spotting red squirrels in all those wonderful trees, including a fruiting walnut tree. The dogs enjoyed sniffing for rabbits and chasing a ball. So peaceful and the air felt clean and fresh. Great location too, it suited our purposes perfectly and one of our party walked 20 miles on the coast path one day, catching the bus back. Just a mention for anyone bringing dogs, the garden isn't dog-proof so you'll need to supervise your best friend. Ours were fine, but we didn't leave them alone outdoors. Thank you, we loved our short break!

Red Squirrel Hotspot!
We enjoyed a last minute mini break after the weather ruined our camping plans! The house is very large with space for everyone to be together and apart all at the same time! Close access to beaches and the needles, shame about the weather though! We barely saw the children as the toddler created her faux meals in the kitchen in the play house, whilst the tweens swung around like King Louis from breakfast til dark on the swing! I enjoyed the natural silence in the garden and spent hours slowly walking with a glass of wine, seeing all of the wildlife the Isle has to offer! Mr Fox was trotting about, beautiful robins and so many birds including a woodpecker! I saw a hare in the neighbour’s garden, and my highlight were the family of red squirrels who danced around the Cobb nut trees! They were so beautiful and came very close! A nature lovers dream! We would happily stay again, in fact the children cried when we left, lol!

Lovely family home
We had a very enjoyable holiday. The house had everything that we needed, was very comfortable and suited all ages.It is a short walk to the beach, when we could persuade the children to leave the garden, perfect for games of hide and seek.

Lovely Christmas stay
Lovely, comfortable property. Beautifully located for walks and the coast. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch.

Lovely week with family and friends!
We had a fantastic week in Lucy’s house - the property is exactly as advertised if not better - well equipped and lots of space inside and out for adults and kids to entertain themselves and get into the holiday vibe. We loved the local Totland beach and especially walks over Headon Warren towards the Needles. Lucy has been so helpful and responsive and we felt very welcome in a beautiful part of the island. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful upstairs, location and garden. Note 1.5 bathrooms
We had a delightful holiday, a 5 minute walk to beach, basking in sun upstairs and playing in garden. There us one family bathroom and a very small ensure that is difficult for an adult to shower. We would definitely holiday here again.

It was a pleasure to host you and we would be delighted to have you back - you would be amazed by some of the new attractions and super restaurants that have opened up, but thankfully West Wight beaches and walks remain as beautiful as ever.

Comfortable house in good location
We had a lovely week ( family of 2 adults + 2 teenagers + grandma) in this property. Beds were comfortable and bedding was good quality. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen and wifi was good upstairs, less so downstairs in bedrooms. Lovely garden, well looked after. Living space would have been a bit tight for 10 people, unless split into different areas. Not so suitable for less able grandma - access to the house from the driveway was very tricky with uneven steps and no toilet in the upstairs living area so she needed to go up and down stairs more than was really comfortable for her. But for a family with teenagers was a lovely space and we all loved the IOW.

So sorry the IOW didn't deliver on the weather this time! Come back and visit us another time and we won't have hidden the dustpan and brush! Sorry they weren't in evidence. They most definitely are now.

Plenty of room for 6 adults and 4 children
Kitchen very well stocked and plenty of room for the 10 of us, although we did bring a settee from the conservatory into the living room for our stay. The children loved the garden, especially the wrecking ball. A feather duster wouldn't go amiss!

Amazing house and garden!
We were thrilled with our recent stay at the Topsy Turvy house. Plenty of space for our group of 5 adults and 3 children. Rooms were nicely decorated with a relaxed and homely feel. The outdoor space was fantastic with den, ball swing and trampoline and a backdrop of beautiful shrubs and trees. We also made use of the balcony, perfect for a morning coffee or evening meal. The house was well appointed with everything we needed at hand. We liked the open plan living space with the dining, kitchen and lounge areas all interlinked. A really unique house! Location is secluded and quiet but do note that access to nearby Totland Bay by foot was rather steep and too difficult for older and younger members of our group though we could easily access the bay by car, just a 2 minute drive. We enjoyed visits to Osborne House, Carisbrooke castle, Godshill model village, Ryde and The Needles and also made trips to nearby Freshwater Bay, Colwell Bay and Compton Bay. Great communication from owner throughout, would highly recommend!

Charming house close to the coast

Lovely short break in a great location
The quirky 'upside house' was ideal for our 4 day break on the island, very peaceful and a great location close to The Needles and Yarmouth ferry and only a short drive to other attractions. Our host was superb and very accommodating when we had to slightly change the dates and couldn't have been more helpful. Look forward to visiting again and staying in Totland Bay

A great location, with excellent and comfortable facilities, and a wonderful garden
We had an excellent stay / experience over the Easter long weekend with a very responsive / helpful owner, and the sunny conditions were fully enjoyed from the fantastic balcony / conservatory and in the expansive and well-kept gardens.

A lovely family house in a lovely location
This is our second family visit to this house. We are frequent visitors to the IOW as we have family there and this is by far our favourite house so far. There is plenty of space for everyone and lots of options for family time - in fact we enjoyed the house so much we stayed in more than planned eating, drinking and playing games it is just a great place to ‘just be’. Although we didn’t manage to finish the 2.000 piece jigsaw in the house ! Totland Bay is a very short drive away and Freshwater has great shops for fresh meat and fish. Having the living space on the first floor meant the area was light, airy and welcoming. Our first night was perfect sitting on the balcony up amongst the trees serenaded by the birds and an impromptu brass band in the church next door. Would thoroughly recommend.

perfect house for two families. The garden was amazing and lots to do even in walking distance.
We recommend this house for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. Lucy was extremely helpful.

A beautiful, striking house, great location and lovely large garden.
This house is really striking with an amazing first floor very large conservatory that makes you feel like you are in a tree house. The bedrooms are very comfortable. The house is very well equipped. It is set back far from the road so I was never worried about our little kids running off. The location was perfect, 10 minutes walk from one beach and less than ten minutes drive from at least a couple more. The garden is great with a brilliant swing that the kids loved.

Beautiful house, home from home and a very helpful owner
We had such a wonderful week in gorgeous East House! What a wonderful base for a home from Home holiday, East House has everything you could possibly need. The house has everything to hand, all that a family could need. This was booked as a surprise trip for my husband and Lucy could not have been more helpful. We shall definitely book again when revisiting the island. A wonderful holiday in a beautiful home

Thank you so much for your feedback. I'm afraid we haven't been able to add an upstairs loo, but bathrooms have been refurbished, the family bathroom wonderfully spacious and showers powerful with plenty of hot water for everyone.

Spacious house with a wonderful garden
We spent a week in the Isle of Wight (2 families of 5). The house was big enough for all of us and we never felt cramped. The lounge / conservatory area is lovely. Our children had a ball in the garden. The swing was a big hit. The Isle of Wight was wonderful - beautiful beaches, great body boarding and some nice cycle paths. Lots of wonderful restaurants too. A great holiday!

fabulous house for a family holiday
Our family shared the house with grandparents and cousins - was perfect accommodation, especially the light bright open living space on the upper floor leading to a deck amongst the trees looking down on beautiful garden with swing and trampoline - and delicious raspberries. Walking distance to quiet beaches and to stunning heathland with views over the needles. Beautifully clean and well equipped house. Charming helpful owner.

Perfect house for families with children
Lucy was really helpful in the planning and quick to reply to questions. The house was even nicer than portrayed in the pictures and unlike some holiday rentals really did have everything we needed eg. cooking stuff and things for the young children - 2 cots, plastic bowls and spoons, 2 highchairs, even nappy bags which I forgot to bring! The garden is beautiful with yet more stuff for children - trampoline, little den and toys. I would equally recommend for people without children. Nice local beaches and really nice local pub about 20 mins walk. Would definitely go back and imagine it would also be nice in winter with wood burner and conservatory which was a sun trap
