The Don was okay. The best thing was our waitress at Maritana and being right on the beach, Other than that, the walls are super thin, my food was over cooked (filet) and I’d just say the hotel is average.. the concerns I brought up to the hotel manager during our stay were never addressed and no real customer service was given. I’ve stayed at the Bellwether as well and tbh I’d pick that hotel over the Don in the future. Not worth the price.

Beautiful property. Very expensive there is no room for error on food. My wife ordered a well done cheese burger and it was raw. Dinner was $500.00 it was alright. Went to the chop house the next night, it was $200.00 and far better.

The Don Cesar is a landmark and it was lovely staying there. The ocean view was tremendous. It was unfortunate that none of the room windows open so that you can hear and smell the oceanfront lodging. The hotel itself is a bit "tired," but we're glad that we stayed at this iconic location.

My adult daughter and I spent four days at The Don in March. Was the perfect quiet getaway. Nicely updated since last visit 17 years ago! Everyone, especially the beach/bar staff was super friendly and helpful. Spent majority of time on soft white sand beach with a good book, and unique and delicious cocktails. Enjoyed the live music in lobby bar and poolside. The only negative was the overpriced and blah food in hotel restaurants. Better options in St Petersburg or down Gulf Blvd. Will definitely be back sooner than 17 years!

Coming here yearly for over 20 years. Still as good as ever. Nice pool, amazing white soft sand on the beach. Great service. Good prices and perks when booking with Expedia.

Beautiful location. Checkin staff team including valet, bell service and front desk were all wonderful. Amazing beach. The rest sub par…facilities in desperate need of updating with quality as there is a lot of deterioration. All facets should be in working order which they were not. Staffing ratio needs to be appropriate for the amount of guests.
