Séjour à faire mais de courte durée
Séjour moyennement agréable compte tenu de la pollution ambiante et de la poussière dans l'hôtel ainsi que du bruit, les serviettes de toilette sont vieilles et le rideau de douche est à changer.

I was staying for family vacation, the greatest thing is location, and as old hotel it has great space in the room. But yes as old hotel the facilities also been old, pool is small, and the toddler pool is not kind of clean, and for the area with carpet will smell like moldy anywhere. Anyway all the staff was giving very good service and quick action on our need.

Nuovo nome, stessa qualità a Semarang
Dopo alcuni anni di assenza da Semarang sono tornato ed ho scelto il Grand Arkenso Hotel, ex Hotel Horison,hotel che ho sempre frequentato. Non ho trovato nulla di cambiato, a parte il nome. Molto cortesi alla reception; essendo arrivato prima dell'orario di check-in mi avrebbero dato una camera fumatori, ma ho aspettato un po' e mi hanno dato un camera anche con upgrade. Aveva infatti un bel divano ed era molto grande. Sempre ottima la colazione, molto varia e la piscina è sempre uno spettacolo. Personale sempre molto discreto ed attento. Il prezzo era molto competitivo.

I found the hotel was okay
It was fine, I found the room was not in good repair. It took me a few days to figure out the hot and cold water in the shower cause the handle was reversed for the hot and cold. The water pressure in the sink was very low, mirror in the bathroom looked like it had not be cleaned for years.

Amazing stay in horison hotel Semarang

Clean but old style hotel
This hotel has a concept old style for building, not modern concept. Outdoor pool is bad, cloudy water (not clear water). Tap shower is broken. Location is very good. In the city centre. Near to the mall.

Needs updating.
The tub did not drain properly during a shower. This was reported and the maintenance person came to check but did nothing. We asked for another room with a tub that drained properly but were refused.

I stayed 2 nights for business trip in Semarang. I booked this hotel for its location in Simpang Lima area, which is in central Semarang and you can find your needs easily because it is located next to Ciputra Mall and Matahari Mall. No other special from this hotel, all standard facilities I didn't use.

Everything is good except very strong cigarette smoke enters the bathroom and room whenever the air-con is off even though the room is a non-smoking room. Thus we had a very unpleasant stay throughout. So we regret to say that we will not consider this hotel for our next stay or to our friends.

A bit old Hotel
good staff, one of them speaks perfect english since she stayed in the US for a while. the other facilities such as badging needs generally 10 try on my door till it is open. TV is a bit small to me. And no safebox in the room. The food is ok.
