I really don’t leave any negative reviews because all I have to do is never go back again but maybe this review will make them keep up the place clean. I paid $238 total for one night and when I checked into the room it was so dusty (top of microwave , night stand and night lamp filled with layers of dust, back of hair dryer ) I’m just glad it was just my husband and I. If I had my kids I would’ve definitely left . And most nasty thing was that towels we so old that it was not even white (nasty yellow with stains) I asked for new fresh towels and all them were same condition.

Very nice property only thing I can say is there wasn’t a dresser or enough counter space but we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Would stay again!
We really enjoyed the stay. It was not our intended place but we stayed for the first time due to few vacancies around town and we are very happy. The room and grounds were very clean and the staff was very friendly and accomodating.

Weekend getaway
It was nice. We have stayed here before and did not have any problems so decided to book again. The only thing I can suggest is replacing your towels. They were clean but no longer look white. We did not use them, instead we bought some beach towels and used them.

This property is kept very clean. The beds are comfortable, the linens are soft. The owners are welcoming. I love that it is dog friendly. The only bummer was the sitting area they had set up directly outside our room where other guests hung out late into the evening. Next time we stay, I will request a different room.

It was a great little place to stay! I went with my family and we stayed in a room that had 3 beds, 2 in the main room plus one in the bedroom. The room was clean, included microwave, fridge, as well as built in pumps with soap, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Staff was also very nice. It was a short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay there again.

As basic as it gets, but we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed three nights in a family suite, which was a main room with one bed, and a bedroom with two more beds. The beds and bathroom were very clean. The shower looked recently renovated and had AMAZING water pressure, which is often lacking in hotels. The shower was heaven. The property was very quiet and the staff was friendly. The owners are skimping on linens. They gave us four towels for five people for three nights, and those towels were threadbare and in desperate need of replacement. I wouldn't even keep these as garbage towels in my garage. There were only two small pillows on each queen bed, and they didn't offer much support. Honestly I liked the property enough that I would probably stay here again, but would be sure to bring my own towels and pillows.

The place was cute when we arrived. Staff greeted us with a smile, gave us our room keys, and the wifi password. When we entered our “Family Suite”, it was a single room and bathroom. We traveled with a 3 and 1 yo so during their naptime, we had to sit quietly in the dark. The whole point of booking an actual suite was to have the kids in one room and we could watch TV or have a conversation in another room. The room was advertised to be 1,000 sq ft. I have lived in 1k sq ft and this doesn’t come close. There’s very little room for small kids and there’s metal/iron furniture so my 1 yo has a large bruise on her face after she fell face first into one of the iron chair legs. The floors were so dirty as well. The staff either don’t clean or they just move the dirt around. Our feet and socks became brown/black with dirt after 10 minutes of walking around. The place wasn’t completely horrible. It was quiet and the linens seemed clean. For what we paid, we could’ve rented a small house and gotten so much more. What irks me the most was the lying from hotels.com and this hotel. Don’t falsely advertise a place to people. When I brought it up with the staff, they said I should have brought it up to them when we arrived, but they should have put us in the correct room from the start. Plus, how do I know they aren’t going to retaliate? I don’t know them and I don’t trust people especially when they are willing to lie.

Excellent location, 2 minute walk to an accessible beach. Area was quiet on a Saturday night and felt safe to walk around. The room was clean, but had minimal furniture. There were 3 queen beds as described, a few night stands, a small refrigerator, microwave, 1 luggage rack, & a small round table with 2 chairs. The room was to accommodate 6, but there was not anywhere to set bags, purses, clothes, or other personal items expect on the floor. There was no common areas outside to spread out and eat or enjoy the weather. Ok for 1 night with older kids, but for a family with small children it may be challenging.

The rooms were clean and spacious. Great location to leave car and walk everywhere around town and across the street to the beach. Nothing too fancy or extra, perfect for a “home base” while enjoying Cayucos.

Booked this place for a last minute Mother’s Day getaway for the weekend. We arrived 2 hours earlier than check in, but we were still able to check in & get our room. The room was clean & a good size (we got the family suite). The location was good also. Walking distance to the beach & all the stores/restaurants. The only downside about the room was the shower. The water was spraying so hard & we couldn’t adjust it. Not good for little kids or people with sensitive skin. But other than that, we would definitely stay here again.

DO NOT book this hotel. They are totally no credit. I booked a 3 bed room last year. When I got in to the room. There was lots of ants everywhere. They had no room for me to exchange. So I had to book another hotel nearby. The owner said I don’t need to to anything on Expedia. They will take care of the rest. They printed a receipt for me with $0 balance. But I never get back my $400. I tried everything I could. This is the last step I can do. I can’t believe this happened in US 2021.

Our stay here was okay. The room has thin walls and our towels were dingy and did not appear clean. There also were not enough pillows.

Average... not bad/not great
It was very clean, modern, not sure why the price was so high (booked through Hotels.com), but I felt it wasn't worth the price. The walls were very thin, so you could hear the snoring from the other room (LOL). It was fine for one night.

Great spot!
Convenient location, could walk to everything. Across from the beach and close to shops, restaurants, etc. Very clean and easy stay w our pups!

Paid way too much!!
I don’t normally write reviews but after spending over $400 for this one night stay I feel entitled to let future guess know what to expect. I’m not sure why it was so expensive to stay here this weekend, maybe it was some event going on but either way I can honestly say with that type of price tag I expected a lot more, it felt like I was in a rundown Motel 6, the only thing that was a plus is that it’s dog friendly and you are at the coast. We did have our dog with us, however other than that this is a great place to stay if you can pay between $100 and $200…If it’s over that then I would recommend looking elsewhere.

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were and how big the shower was! Everything was very clean, smelled good and the motel was very convienently close the the beach and shops!

My family and I stayed here on trip between Los Angeles and San Francisco. We arrived very late but had no problem checking in. The room had 3 king size beds which was perfect for our family of 6. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. The owners were very friendly and the location was perfect.
