The room itself was ok, shower a bit small but other than that fine for a few nights. The service however was appalling, mainly down to poor communication. I attempted to contact them a few days prior to arrival to see if we could leave our luggage as weâd be there before check in, I had no response. When we arrived we couldnât find the place, itâs hidden away in a building with multiple uses; offices etc and thereâs nothing on the outside advertising the guest house. Upon calling multiple times we got no answer and had to go and find someone working in n office to ask where it was. Upon arrival the place was locked, we kept calling and finally got through to be told someone was on their way. When they arrived the room hadnât been cleaned and smelt of smoke. They apologised and waived the city tax due to this.
A few days later we were going out for the evening and found a lady looking to check in on her own. She couldnât find the place and there was nobody around to check her in. Again, no answer on the phone. Eventually we managed to make contact via text to be told someone should have been there. Appalling communication throughout, made for a poor experience in Rome unfortunately and makes me think twice about trusting hotels tbh.
