I experienced the best service - at the hotel and the restaurant in the hotel - that I have encountered in many years. Kind and generously responsive. This is a very welcoming place. It is also a gorgeous old inn, with modern updates. (Bed was great.)

I found it interesting to stay in this historic building. Much of its former opulence is gone, and the bedroom I stayed in was basic, but had more character than the chain hotels. I was clean, quiet, and adequate to my needs. The staff were welcoming, and after a drive through a snow storm to get there I was grateful for a warm, safe room and easy parking. Breakfast offerings were virtually non-existent, but there was a restaurant ("Spot Coffee") that was an easy walk away.

We loved the location and historical nature of the property. One thing that stunk but could easily have been remedied was that we only had one pillow in a king bed. By the time we realized though, it was just too late to bother calling for one.

Lovely historic building with some upgrades (but not enough). There was no staff at the front desk when we arrived, but someone else from staff jumped in to help. There was a wedding party in the floor below us with loud music until late into the evening. Good location close to ESM (which is why we chose it).

This was my first stay at this lovely hotel. If you enjoy a little nostalgia, you might enjoy the history of the hotel and the uniqueness of each room. This is not a cookie-cutter hotel like the chains. The staff was really customer focused and accommodating. I will stay there again when I return to Rochester.

Beautiful but small bed
Hotels.com said bed size would be a queen or a king, we requested a king. Got to the hotel and the bed was a full. I couldn’t find anything in our confirmation that stated bed size, and 4 out of 5 times we went to the desk there was no one there, so we let it go. Room was lovely otherwise, but I ended up going home to sleep in our guest bed (was an anniversary staycation).

It was charming and very easy to access. Parking was very convenient. My room was lovely and the coffee and muffins in the lobby were delicious. The fellow at the desk was very kind and helpful. I am very happy with my visit.

Extremely clean. Upgraded me to my king size bed without a problem. Room clean and comfortable. Bathroom needs towel racks near sink. Need more soap but still lovely. They offer coffee but leftover fruit. Needs more attention.

We ate at the steakhouse a little over a year ago and it was delicious. I remember saying I’d like to stay at the Inn as the decor and vibe were cute and welcoming. So on Friday, I booked a last minute stay at the Inn for a concert. At first, I accidentally booked the wrong dates. The man on the phone at the Inn was incredibly nice about it and accommodating. It was changed easily. When we got there, the staff was so sweet and easy going. The room was adorable. We were able to walk to all of our destinations as well. It was super close. I would definitely stay their again!

A beautiful historic hotel woth an amazing restaurant on site. Only complaint is that our toilet decided to start running throughout the night, and the AC was loud and hard to set. Great location as well.

Beautiful older hotel with a great location downtown. Small, but cozy. Due to it's size, it does lack some of the amenities a larger more modern hotel will have, but it makes up for it with character and charm. A good selection of bars and restaurants within a few blocks that stay open late. Walking back at midnight felt safe and there are enough people around so you don't feel to vulnerable. The rooms were very clean, with minimal wear and tear on the furniture. Didn't get to try the steakhouse but got a garbage plate (Rochester thing) from a local food counter. Delish and a must try for any first time visiter. Would definitely patron again and recommend to anyone who wants to stay downtown, in walking proximity to food and drink, in a charming older hotel.

In town for Jazz Fest. Couldn’t ask for a better location and parking to boot! Love the hotel, architecture, etc. Love redone older structures. Room was huge, high ceilings, comfy bed, quiet and comfortable. Only issue. Shower water pressure was … sub par to say the least. It’s in the city, water pressure should peel paint! Other than that no regrets and would stay again/recommend. Restaurants, bars, Salingers, Spot Coffee around the corner and new East Ave urban spaces to walk to as well.

This is a fabulous piece of history! We went for the Jazz Festival and everything we needed was within a 3 block area. Perfect! Terrific employees. Very friendly, helpful front desk. Charming young men taking care of valet services. Beautiful room, extremely comfortable.

I loked pretty much everything about the property. The only issue I had was a charge of $32.16 that I can't figure out. We did have the Keurig coffe in the room and used the shampoo and lotion. I guess that's what it was for. I thought that material was usually provided.

We had an almost perfect stay at Inn of Broadway. It started with incredible service on check in including running up a fresh bucket of ice to the 4th floor of this beautiful century building. We had a chance to test to beverages and food available in the bar and would go back just for the old school atmosphere, service and incredibly tasty beverages and food. However, on our last night the valet area was full and we were asked to park our car on our own. What is the valet lot was full and we parked in the next area over. There were tow signs on both the valet and non-valet area, so we felt safe that the car would be there in the morning, however it sadly was not. $150 and 90 minutes later the next morning we had the car back. We are disappointed that the valet didn't share this after saying the valet lot was full and we should park on our own.

The Inn has been maintained to the highest standards ,as obvious as walking through the front door. Pure elegance from a simpler time it is absolutely beautiful. Our room was Clean , comfortable and quiet. the bed was very comfortable. The fireplace added such a nice touch, we loved it! The multi head shower was great !

The hotel is beautiful, which is why we chose it. Unlike the vast majority of hotels and motels, everywhere your eyes rest, there is something lovely -- flowers, rugs, furniture, wall coverings, etc., etc. etc. So why our mediocre rating? First, the hotel has a popular restaurant that offers valet parking. As a result, the parking lot is blocked off. There is another entrance that avoids the valet, but it is up an impossibly rutted back alley, which is not clearly marked and very narrow and difficult to drive through. Second, the hot and cold water is difficult to use. The cold water tap runs hot for the first fifteen minutes of use, and the hot water tap runs cold for a few seconds and then becomes hot. The temperature of the shower is almost impossible to adjust, so I settled for cold showers. Third, when we checked in we were given a room that was being renovated, so we were then given a room that had an adjoining room. The door between the two rooms did not quite reach the floor, which left a space at the bottom through which we could hear just about every sound. The people in the adjoining room were fortunately not particularly loud, but when they listened to music even at normal volume it kept us up until fairly late at night. In sum, like the girl with a curl on her forehead, the good things about the hotel were very, very good, but the bad things were horrid. Whick is why we gave it the OK rating that we did.
