A safe gateway to the jungle. We had a very good stay at the Posada hotel. The staff went above and beyond with us. Always nice and helpful. Our room was big, clean, with everything we needed. The location of the hotel is perfect with the national parc basically right there, and a short 5 minutes walk to the beach. There is a very convenient grocery store next door. I'll come back without hesitation

Pour famille à 30 secondes de l’entrée du parc!
L’hôtel est situé réellement à 30 seconde l’entrée du parc. Tu n’a pas reprendre ton véhicule pour te rendre dans le parc. Notre hôtel était un appartement chouette avec deux chambres, deux salles de bains, cuisine, salon et véranda! Idéal pour une famille. Les déjeuners par contre, ordinaire.

Hôtel à l'entrée du parc Manuel Antonio. C'est l'hôtel que nous avons payé le plus cher, sans doute pour sa localisation. Parfait pour une nuit mais des améliorations pourraient être faites (notamment sur les finitions dans la chambre: rideau déchiré, tâches sur les murs, pas de pression dans les robinets). Cependant, nous avons apprécié le cadre et certains détails (chambre grande, lampe torche dans la chambre, parking fermé, plage accessible à pieds).

We appreciate your review, unfortunately not everybody are happy with our lovely hotel, some people expects 4 or 5 star hotels, in our "family Style" hotel we work hard to accomplish all guest requests, and we work hard to make your vacation unforgettable. Please compare prices, you will see that we are in a very reasonable range of prices compared with other hotels in the area with similar service.

Mal entretenu
Son seul atout : être à l'entrée immédiate du parc. Sinon c'est l'hotel qu'on a payé le plus cher sur nos 15 jours de voyage et celui qui était le moins confortable. Tout est mal entretenu, brinquebalant, mal bricolé : les robinets sont mal fixés, les portes ne ferment pas, la poignée de la porte de la douche qui reste dans la main, la clim qui fuit sur nos affaires, qui fait beaucoup de bruit mais pas de froid, la télé et ses cables électriques qui pendouillent, mais de toutes façons ça ne marche pas... Le petit dej est frugal, la vaisselle (en plastique) est sale... Bof, bof, bof. Avec un minimum d'efforts ça vaudrait le prix. Malgré tout, c'est vraiment sympa de n'avoir que 10m à faire pour aller passer une super journée dans le parc, et le personnel est gentil. La piscine est pas mal.

We were so happy with Hotel La Posada and Jungle. We were surprised to find it right next to the gates of Manuel Antonio. The location was great with just enough around to make things convenient, but not so much that it was bustling (aside from daytime park crowds of course). All the staff were wonderful and friendly, with a special mention of Rony, who was simply the best. My kids both loved him. My 12 year old son Oliver said "I've never even thought about having a favourite hotel worker until I met Rony." We had a great time and recommend it highly.

Loved staying right next to the park and the entrance gate. Monkeys indeed visited the trees around the hotel and the roof each morning. Ronny and the rest of the staff were super friendly, helpful and fun.

We liked this hotel but it is a "get what you pay for" type of situation. The location is great - right next to the park and close to all the action. They really didn't have a place for us to park other than in a busy alley. We had a rental car so it wasn't of big concern to us but if you had a nice car it would be very worrisome. Our car did get backed into while it was parked and it left a pretty big dent but the guy at Posada was VERY helpful getting us in touch with our rental car company and all. The hotel is in a neat location -lots of howler monkey noises in the evening and morning which we really thought was neat! It is just sort of an older hotel - very clean but the furniture is old and things are very dated. Not for people that like a fancy, modern room but great location for easy going travelers. There was a family staying there with 5 kids and they were having the time of their lives!

This property was in an excellent location, a minute walk away from the entrance to Manuel Antonio NP and within 5 minutes of multiple restaurants. About 7 minutes away was the beach and more restaurants. Our room was clean with plenty of space. The property is also right next to an area with lots of wildlife including white faced monkeys, and one can see various types of colorful birds and the occasional small iguana on the property. Staff were helpful and breakfasts were delicious.

Overall a great stay and completed our Manuel Antonio experience. The hotel is directly at the park entrance, giving us the opportunity to go in as early as possible. The Stadt did a good job in dipping everything for us and the rooms are well equipped. A broken shower was fixed right away. The pool is directly at the park border, giving us the right atmosphere. Highly recommended, when visiting the park early is a priority.

Very nice people, helpful and friendly. The location is awesome, directly in the front of the entrance to the national park and also close to the free beach outside of the park. Parking can be a bit challenging but the hotel staff is also helping out with that. The complementary breakfast is very tasty and includes a selection of four different freshly made meals. The hotel itself is cool as well, much more relaxed than the hustle around Manuel Antonio. The pool is small but valuable and the rooms are not extraordinary but comfy and very clean. AC is doing work as well.

Steps away from the best park we visited in CR
We ended our Costa Rica adventure at Hotel La Posada and Jungle. My famly of 4 (11,13,44,45) stayed here in early April of 2023. This was a perfect way for us to end our 10 day tour of Costa Rica. We stayed in the Ara Macao house and it was awesome! My girls and wife loved it. Super spacious and comfortable. It had a full kitchen and large sitting area along with 2 bedrooms. The air conditioning was strong and the fans spread around the house kept the space cool and comfortable. The property has a small pool that was perfect for our two girls. My wife and I would sit and cool off in the evening while visiting with other guests. Breakfast was included and a perfect way to start the day. You choose from 4 options. We tried them all and they were good. The best part about this hotel is the location. It is literally steps away from the entrance to Manuel Antonio park. It is very convenient. The beach is only a short walk away through some nice vendors and we even came across a family of monkeys on our way to the beach. Parking can be a little tricky. Just follow your "WAZE" directions and you will end up at a dead end. From there, communicate with one of the great hosts. Rony and Aaron Perez were very helpful. They helped find a parking spot close. They also offered to help with park tickets and dinner recommendations. Lots of shops within walking distance. A grocery store right next door. It is really a great location. Make sure to say hi to Mario the resident iguana.

The hotel is right next to the national park ( animals come to the property) and with short walking distance to the beach. The staff are lovely. We had a parking issue and staff handled this really well. Hot showers, good breakfast, small but nice pool area.

We appreciate for your review.Two important points based in your observations.If you see the hotel descrition, its very clear that we dont have parking, but we are pleased to always help our guests to park without cost and safe.Second, well, what you expected if you choose the closest hotel to the Manuel Antonio National Park, why dont mention about the 10 meters PArk distance, or the 4 minutes walking distance to the main beach or the lovely rooms that we offer, or the exhuberant pool area, practically inside the Park, or the Great service and Food that we offer?I can suggest many quiet places in the area but 30 or 40 minutes by car to the beach and Park. So please guests make sure you know where we are and what we offer, in this way we will avoid comments or low reviews without sense.Best regards.

Manuel Antonio National Park is right next to the hotel. It is extremely convenient. The staff are always available and ready to help with anything at all. The rooms are large and comfortable and the garden is beautiful. Monkeys come by to play in the garden almost every morning. So cute!

We enjoyed our short stay at this hotel. The monkeys run on the roof at night and I can be loud but the staff was very friendly and helpful. It’s a very short walk to a beautiful beach. The water was so warm with nice waves to body surf. Parking is not the best, down a rock road, but it’s doable. You are literally on the edge of Manuel Antonio park, right before the entrance. Great location.

Family vacation
We stayed here for two nights. We have five young kids, and this hotel was wonderful. Nice boutique hotel next to the entrance of the national park. Wonderful breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff. Only eight rooms in the hotel, so it is easy to meet and interact with other guests. Our kids LOVED the monkeys that come to visit! The rooms are good size, with a nice bathroom. Short walk to an amazing beach.

I just got back from my first trip to Costa Rica and had a WONDERFUL week staying at La Posada. Perfect room (large, clean, personal hammock!), perfect location (steps from Manuel Antonio gate, lots of shops and restaurants within steps), perfect property (I saw almost as many animals on the property as in the park) and perfect staff-- Damien, Romy and team were SO welcoming and wonderful. Thank you for the dream vacation!

La ubicación es inmejorable, directamente al lado del parque nacional, el staff super amable y servicial, el cuarto y las instalaciones en general muy limpias y en buen estado. La barra está por las nubes y definitivamente planeamos volver en el futuro.

My family stayed at La Posada for 3 nights at the end of December. We booked a room with two double beds and it was exactly as pictured. Very happy with the room and the hotel. Best part of the property was Rony, who runs the front desk and can help with any tour or recommendations.

Convenient Location, but otherwise overpriced
We stayed here (family of 4) for three nights. The location is really convenient, right outside the gate of Manuel Antonio National Park, and 3 minutes walk from the public beach and a bunch of restaurants. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Included breakfast was quite decent. The rooms (and overall property) was clean, but basic and small in size, felt cramped. Overall, nothing wrong with this hotel, we had a good stay. But this is squarely a 2-star property, so go with that expectation. And for that, it was overpriced. Maybe it was the high tourist season. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if the price was half. For what they charged, I'd look for a different hotel, there are plenty in that area.
