Superb Hotel very close to Eiffel Tower!

Publié le 27 août 2016
We stayed in Derby Alma for 9 days. Our initial booking was only for one weekend. But the staff was very prompt in making adjustments and was able to extend our booking for a whole 9 days in the same room. That was very helpful since we are a family of 4.

에펠탑에서 가까워요.

Publié le 27 août 2016

Accurately-described position on the Avenue Rapp

Publié le 25 juil. 2016
Les + : Pleasant reception staff; a sensible no-slip floor in the bath; a good TV-system & a teas-made facility.
Les - : Lighting & information & a power-point for the kettle nearer the table & not at floor level, making tea or coffee with boiling water a risky business.
Situation : The Brochure states that the Hotel is "only a few steps from the Eiffel Tower and the Champs- Elysees" but the latter description is an exaggeration.
Badly designed bathroom with a toilet-holder beside the wc bowl, so the toilet roll always fell off when we used the wc bowl. A poorly designed sink which sloped downwards towards the wall making shaving difficult; no bathroom shelves to store toilet accessories; a poorly-fitted bathroom door which had to be slammed shut when entering or leaving the bathroom; inadequate lighting in the bedroom especially in the storage space for clothes & the safe, & no Hotel Information book setting out the services or how to use the TV & channels available, or to dial the phone for the operator or concierge; A power-point for boiling water for tea or coffee on the floor instead of at table-height.

Great staff, great location!

We had the best time at this cute property, from the most friendly check-in to the amazing location in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. Our room had complimentary drinks, cute decorations, and a great view of the surrounding neighborhood (and Eiffel Tower). And we were able to walk the city without any trouble from its location near the river. Will definitely visit again!

Paris for the night

Publié le 23 juin 2016 sur Hotels
Booked suite for 3 guests and 2 large beds - when we checked in the room was ready. The second bed was to be the pull out sofa however it was not made up. When we returned after dinner the bed was still not made up but the house keeping staff had gone for the night and we were given a second room instead. Not what we had in mind but a quick solution.

Gem of a Hotel near Eiffel Tower.

Publié le 23 juin 2016
Les + : The use of a smartphone, the look and feel of the room and its location
Les - : Nothing that I can think of
Situation : Sightseeing, the Eiffel Tower, Museums, Shopping along Champs Ellysees restaurants cafes, store, etc.
This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at so far. It is centrally located along a quiet tree lined avenue with not much car traffic so you sleep soundly The staff was so friendly and helpful that I felt as if I was staying with friends rather than a hotel. The various staff members were very warm towards me and my family. The language barrier was not an issue and frankly the exchange was cheerful. The place is very modern, the rooms are spacious (we stayed in room 201) and the beds were comfortable (a queen and sofa bed). My room faced the front and it got a lot natural light. The hotel is a short walk from the Eiffel Tower (you get great view from the next corner), the River Seine, many restaurants stores and the memtro which can get you around with the purchase of a Multi-day transit pass. Your also walking distance to the Champs Ellysees, Arc de Triomphe and many high-end shops. But the best part was the Le Derby provides an invaluable service that was not advertised in their description; the hotel provides a loaner smartphone as part of your stay. Again use of a smartphone included in your stay was not advertised so it might be a pilot program, but if it's not a pilot program then that is a game changer in my book. Further, the use of the phone included unlimited internet access so I used it as a navigation system a translator and to google interesting facts My next stay in Paris will undoubtedly be at Le Derby Alma
