First off, the drive up to the motel is very steep so if you have trouble walking be forewarned. I did not see this fact on the website. To me, the place felt like a roadside motel. Food only from vending machine. Staff were friendly.

We are an economy hotel minutes to DC. Most sights show we are a two star hotel. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. Thank you.

We are sorry you didn't have a great stay. We want to point out that you stayed in February and the ac isn't usually used in cold weather. The thermostat on most units will cut off if the room temperature has met the setting temperature. Thank you.

This is the second time I've stayed here. It's an affordable option, and the first time I stayed it was nice. It's a small hotel, so there are no luxuries, but it was clean. This time around the bathroom was not in good condition. It wasn't terribly dirty, but it wasn't super clean either. There were hairs on the walls of the bathroom, the bathtub had some chipping, the toilet seat was a little loose, and the sink faucet would move whenever you'd open it. There was dust on the headboards, one of the lamps of the rooms didn't work and the tv remote never worked with the tv, no matter how many times we changed it in the front desk. Also the rug looked splatted with something and felt sticky. They have decline a lot in seven years. It's a shame, because the staff is great and it wasn't like this the first time I stayed. I will also suggest another security measure from the main area of the reception to the rooms. Sometimes there is no one in reception, and anyone could just walk in and start trying to open the doors or something. I'd suggest a door with only guest and staff access in between the small kitchenette and the rooms. Just for added security.

The personnel is the best! I really hope owners and managers appreciate how much their employees care about guest and doing an outstanding job. The sheets were clean. The place smelled very clean! But. The bathroom NEEDS renovation. The tub had black mold, the baseboard had its own ecosystems growing on it. The towels were clean. Someone really knows how to do laundry in this place, because towels were white, fluffy and smelled really clean. But again, everything around the towels was absolutely disgusting and needs renovation. In our room a bed was a little moved and the original color of the carpet revealed. We kept our shoes on, because the carpet we were walking on was dark gray and under the bed — beige. TV was useless because it didn’t have a correct remote. The ac was LOUD. Soundproofing is non existent. We could hear a guy in the room next door talk and fart. No jokes. But again, you can feel how hard the personnel works to make the best out of it. It feels like over the years the inn was really neglected. But recently maybe bought by a new owner or changed management, and they are trying to bring the place back to life. Please get rid of that mold.

We appreciate your observations. The rooms are standard sound proofing but some guests can hear other guests. We have plenty of remotes if the one you had wasn't correct. Usually a clerk can swap it easily. We did dye our carpets darker last year. We didn't move furniture and yes you can see the old color if someone moves the furniture. Our laundry people do work hard to keep linens and towels clean. The staff does work hard to make our guests feel welcome. Thank you.

This place does what it needs too, a simple place to stay without being too fancy or over the top. I found no issues with my stay here and would recommend for someone on a budget.

The parking lot is horribly angled, and had evidence of either a crash or break in on the ground. The room we were in had mold on the ceiling, leaky plumbing, and a carpet that was dark brown but a light beige under the furniture - clearly soaked in dirt. We could hear everything going on in adjacent rooms. Ice machine was empty. The man at the front desk was very friendly, though!

There is an incline to get to the parking lot but the parking area is fairly flat. We don't know what you are speaking of about evidence of a crash in the ground. We didn't find leak or mold in the room but will keep an eye on it. The carpet was dyed last year to a darker color. We didn't dye under the furniture. Your assessment about the color difference is inaccurate. The ice machine can be empty if someone used it all. It fills up again pretty quickly if you go back in 20 minutes. Thank you for mentioning our nice staff.

A year ago my stay was fine. Now they've stopped doing much of the needed repair/maintenance. My BA faucet was loose and a large pile of red flaky stuff had dropped off and was on the floor. they don't stock kleenex for the rooms anymore. My room keys failed 1) right when I first checked in and then at least twice more during my stay. . Front desk person apparently kept making mistakes. Big water pools on floor near ice machine were not promptly cleaned up I had a bad cold so all these issues made for a difficult stay. I am tempted to dispute half the charge. It is a shame, as this property is in a prime location and would be in high demand if maintenance and repair and a few renovations (carpet appears very old) were done.

We appreciated you came back. You are correct the faucet became loose. We have replaced it. The room key fails as described when a guest puts their key next to their phone and demagnetizes them. We have large perforated rubber matter in front of ice machine for spills. We do wipe it up several times daily because guests drop ice on the floor. We don't have any record of any complaint while you were at the hotel so we could try to resolve your issues or move you to another room.

Very cheap, but dirty. Bring a pair of slippers for the room as it seems they don’t vacuum the room. Only complaint is that it’s dirty, but I guess that is what’s expected for a cheap rate. Good fast food around to eat and transportation to get to DV

we are sorry you had WIFI issue. We have very good WIFI and have few complaints. We haven't had any other guest mention any WIFI issues in the room you had. but we will continue to monitor. We are not sure what you smelled for a period of time but not the entire time. Our guests do have microwaves and perhaps someone cooked something that you did n't like? Thank you.

We had the carpets professionally dyed last year. We did not dye under furniture. Some guests think the carpet is dirty because the color under the furniture is lighter color. Thank you.

Very outdated and room looks nothing like the pictures online. Checked in, went into the room, found burn holes in the sheets and a dirty, stained pair of underwear in our room… checked out immediately. Was there for a total of 15 minutes

We don't normally provide rooms as described. We do have a few smoking rooms and staff did miss the burn hole in a sheet. You did find underwear after pulling the mattress off the bed. It shouldn't be there but housekeepers don't regularly lift mattresses off of the bed. We apologize. Thank you.

Staff were very kind and helpful. It is also conveniently located and close to safeway and cvs. The only downside is that if you are a light sleeper and have loud neighbour, you may not get any sleep. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything from the other room.

Uncomfortable and outdated
The bed was very uncomfortable with possible broken springs. Had back aches after sleeping on it. TV in the room never worked with the provided remote. Very poor wifi signal. Had to use my phone and ipad cellular the whole tome. The toilet was broken, was unstable. The shower kept dripping water the entire time even though turned off. The room was very cramped. Not a good place to stay. Unless you just need a place to sleep for the night.

We use feedback to fix things when our guests point out what we can repair. We only heard about the bed from this guest and no other guests for this room. We have check the list above and fixed anything we found needed service. We try to keep everything running smooth but sometimes things break or need adjustments. Thank you.
