We booked this hotel last minute as it was the only one available with a one-bedroom option. Unfortunately, our stay was far from what we had hoped. The hotel feels very outdated, and while we were excited about the ocean view, the dirty windows completely ruined the experience. When I asked the staff to clean them so we could enjoy the view, they acknowledged the request but never followed through.
We were given a room on the first floor, which was quite disappointing. I asked to move to a higher floor for a better view and more privacy, but my request was denied without much explanation.
Breakfast at The Greenery restaurant was another letdown. On the first day, we were told it would cost $18 per person, but we were charged $20. I also received a drink in a cracked glassâthankfully, it was me and not one of our children who drank from it. On the second day, I decided to give it another try, only to find a hair in my coffee glass. The restaurant supervisor didnât even bother to apologize, and the staff made us feel uncomfortable by standing too close while we were eating.
After that, we decided never to return to the hotel restaurant againâthere are plenty of better breakfast options nearby that donât serve drinks in broken glasses or with hair in them.
The only positives during our stay were the pools, the playground, and the free popcorn for the kids. Other than that, the hotel really needs to update its facilities and provide serious training for its restaurant staff.
