When hotels allow pets - over time it usually has a bit of an odor. This hotel used to be a top notch stay but over the years has come to the point of needing a remodel. There also was a used washcloth hanging on the shower rail. Which is kinda disgusting but also an easy thing for a cleaner to overlook I’m sure.

The hotel service staff did a good job with what they had to work with. I have stayed in hundreds of hotel rooms and I will say this was the dirtiest and most broken-down room I have ever stayed in. By broken-down I mean: Broken phone, broken chair, cracked lampshade, broken door (deadlock would not engage). Tried to swap out the chair, but nothing to offer, so I used one of the chairs from the breakfast area. I had to move the nightstand to plug in the clock and it was disgustingly dirty underneath. Linens and food service trash was in the hallway from before I checked in until after I checked out the next day...

It just got worse
I have stayed at this hotel many times. It gets worse each stay, and this will be the last time i stay here. No matter how many times i get keys, they have trouble working properly. The elevator caught fire and was out my entire stay being on the top floor. One bed was missing the fitted sheet, and room service never showed up. Bugs were on the bathroom floor. Check out was fun making multiple trips up and down the stairs because the elevator still did not function.

Staff was very nice and friendly. Keycards didn't work very well. When they gave me a new one, they did not check to make sure I should have access to that room... hmm... Also the refrigerator didn't really keep my food cold. Their inner front door has a push-pad for handicapped access, only it doesn't work. When I pointed this out, the person said, " O I don't know.." They didn't seem to understand that I was telling them it didn't work and that they should fix it.. hmm.. Good breakfast, rooms clean and ok.

The hotel overa was average. It is pet friendly so there are a lot of dogs, and fur. The dogs were all well behaved and owners were responsible. Whatcaused usconcern was the seemingly homeless man sleeping in the 3rd floor stairway. No cameras were in the stairways so this gentlema made himself at home.

Although the staff was very accommodating, we never received housekeeping services for our four night stay!! Upon check-in, we were not told that we had to request their services after our third night. They never emptied the trash...until front desk told me to sit it outside the door. I had to go to the front desk to get fresh towels. The air unit sparked the first night, then only cold air came out (it was 28 degrees outside!!) At least maintenance fixed the air unit the next day...overall 2.5 stars.

It was conveniently located right next to the Indiana Tollroad entrance and only a mile from Interstate 94. The hotel was quiet and our room was clean, but the carpets were worn and public areas could use some refurbishing. So based on those facts, I only gave them an average rating. However, I would stay there again if I ever needed a room in that area.

I would not recommend this hotel and when in town again I will NOT be staying there. Sketchy people as we arrived. Police there the next day fornthe sketchy people we saw when we checked in. The entire hotel smelled like pot. Waiting 10-15 minutes for staff to come to counter for assistance.

The bedspread had stains on it and that made everything else feel suspect too. Average hotel averagely maintained and managed.
