This is a massive hotel geared to conventions. The only breakfast choice in the hotel is a $27 buffet, which is hard to justify. There are other options a block or so away and there is a Starbucks that has some breakfast options in the hotel.

The hotel was basically OK. No maid service for three days – no towels, no coffee no beds fixed. No services whatsoever.

Nice hotel, some worn furniture Staff is very friendly. We did ask for extra towels twice and didn’t receive them. We also asked for coffee which we did receive but no cups. Hotel restaurant food was very good and friendly service. Room is large, comfortable bed, although the toilet sits low and a flaw design with the door.

Very nice and fancy. Cons, it was very hard at first to navigate the hotel. Didn’t understand the check in staff, bit of a language barrier another customer had to help us figure out the elevator and the numbers for our floor and hotel room number. But once figured out, it was manageable.

What we liked: The hotel was clean and has a pleasant scent. The staff were friendly and attentive. What we didn’t like: The hotel didn’t feel safe. After arrival and checking in. We were asked to show our room card to hotel employees before entering the elevator area. Although we appreciate there being a checkpoint, it made us feel alarmed that there was a need to do so as we’ve never seen the practice at any Hyatt property before. Also, the entrance of the hotel where vehicles arrive for valet had random people loitering and walking throughput the area. It was obvious that they were not guests of the hotel.

Stayed here for mardi gras. If you don't mind a little walk (20 or so minutes from bourbon st.) it's in a good location. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a little damage in the hallway leading up to the room and the carpet made the floor uneven, but it was overall good for the price.
