Un charme fou !! L’hôtel semble hors du temps et il est bien situé, à l’écart de toute agitation mais à deux pas de restaurants et de cafés.

Hôtel horrible affreux fuyez n’y allez pas, affreux affreux affreux horrible C’est un hôtel qui est beau en apparence, vieille bâtisse de charme, mais c’est un endroit très vieux et très humide, il y a des bestioles, je me suis réveillé en pleine nuit à 3h du matin avec un énorme cafard sur le bras. CAFARD énorme !!!! imaginez-vous la catastrophe !! et en plus après la catastrophe et le lever en panique le cafard dans le lit qui m’a piqué dans la nuit, un deuxième cafard dans la chambre, horrible on a dû partir en panique en pleine nuit tellement que c’était affreux et aucune reconnaissance de l’hôtel en plus donc n’y allez jamais. Imaginez-vous que même en le disant le matin très tôt au réceptionniste il n’en avait rien à faire il m’a dit je le note pour le manager mais qu’est-ce que j’en ai à faire moi du manager j’avais le cafard sur le bras !!! J’en suis encore malade Cauchemar

Une chambre avec un balcon à $300.00 la nuit Nous devons passer par une fenêtre pour accéder au balcon !! Une bibitte qui ressemble à une grosse croquerelle Je suis vraiment très déçu

Excellent séjour!
Nous avons beaucoup aimé le cachet de l’hôtel et son emplacement au centre-ville. Le seul bémol, le matelas un peu mou! Service excellent et accueillant !

I liked the quaintness of the property however it lacked cleanliness & is in need of some repair. Asked for a room with windows to the courtyard but could not accomidate us ( made our reservation early in the morning so those rooms would have been available Leak from the ceiling in the bathroom??

Its a place with a lot of history, each and every room is made and designed differently which adds a great appeal to the eye. You would think it to be hunted because of some of the creepy old paintings . Tons of great charms and a beautiful court yard

It's an old building..quaint, but our room had two queens..one sounded like you were going to break the bed frame every time you turned over..it also had a significant drop in the middle that tried to eat my wife... She is sensitive to mold smells..it was obvious when we walked in that it was going to be a difficult night...we had to carry suitcases up stairs.. We're done with historic homes..give me home 2 suites every time

This was a very interesting little hotel, close in to downtown dining, clubs, and activities. The lady working the front desk was wonderful, but seemed to be the only employee. Our issue with our room was cleanliness. Sheets and towels were clean, but the pillows were stained and filthy. Floors and restroom were only superficially cleaned. It is time for a lot of exterior wood to be replaced. Understaffed.

Great historic hotel! Malaga Inn hosted a wedding that I attended. All of the staff were beyond friendly and helpful. Terrific people! Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed the unique experience of staying in an historic hotel. Our room was incredible and the grounds were stunning! Upon our arrival, the desk clerk had an unpleasant attitude, but the rest of the staff that we interacted with the rest of our stay were very kind. We would stay again.

The property was unique and charming. The rooms opening into the open courtyard was really nice. However Expedia and Google both said there was free breakfast. There was no breakfast offered, free or otherwise.

My experience here was great. Miss Arnetta at the front desk was extremely helpful and pleasant during my whole stay. The room was clean and spacious, and the courtyard was just as beautiful as the photos suggest. Restaurants and shops are a walking distance away. I would absolutely book here again!

Hi James, I'm not sure why I am just seeing this post! Mardi Gras was about 6 weeks ago now. Being busy for the Carnival season is no excuse for you to have experienced that propery in subpar condition. I do apologize that you did not have an enjoyable time. I know without a doubt that we could redeem ourselves if you give us another chance on your next visit!

This is a great place to stay! It’s an old, historic building, so expect it to appear and feel that way. It was clean and welcoming. The staff was incredible and friendly! They definitely made the stay even better. I would stay there again.

Lovely bed! Room reminded me of European hotels with high ceilings and old world charm. Front desk staff at check in were friendly and accommodating. Just a little worn down though.

Thanks for the great rating! Our location does make it easy to park your car and not have to get in it until time to go home! There are a ton of great restaurants and shops to walk to and you are correct about the ease of getting to the cruise terminal! I’m glad you had a good stay!

This turned out to be a cool place to stay. The location is perfect for accessibility. The hotel is historic and very clean. The courtyard is so cool to hang out and relax. Charlotte on the front desk was helpful and really pleasan. If ypur looking for modern and cookie cutter lodging this is not it , but if you want an experience in a safe clean hotel stay here.

So the property could use a few coats of paint. It is not cookie cutter which was what I wanted. The extra charge for around $40 on top of room rate and tax made it almost $250 a night. Parking was also a different price, $9 I stead of $7. Internet is not able except in the lobby. Other than those things everything was as described.

Thanks for the review and feedback. I do apologize if the parking charges were not clearly communicated to you! We only charge for parking for those heading to the cruise terminal so it shouldn't have impacted your nightly rate really!

This is a historic hotel in downtown Mobile. The staff was very friendly. I could hear a little noise since the doors & windows were historic and not the modern sound resistant. All in all, I enjoyed my stay, and I would consider it again.

You are correct that the historic nature of the property can make it a little noisier than a new hotel. We think that the experience of being in a 160 year old property makes up for that though! Charlotte - the daytime receptionist- was wonderful. She was helpful and friendly. But the facility was lacking 2 very important amenities that are listed in Expedia as being at the property: a bar (according to the night staff it is only opened for Mardi Gras) and in-room wifi (I had to go to the lobby to connect, but back in my room the connection would fail). Also, it could have just been the location of my room, but I could hear the elevator and the closing of the lobby door ALL NIGHT.

Thanks so much for the feedback! Yes, the bar is currently only open during special events. We are looking at the possibility of opening on a more regular basis as we get deeper into the summer season. We have also been in contact with our service provider for wifi since we have been experiencing spotty coverage in some of the rooms.

I can only imagine what the property was like when it was two identical townhouses all those years ago! I bet it was amazing, but, then again, I think it is pretty amazing now! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay!

My stay at Malaga Inn was absolutely wonderful! Not only is the property beautifully historic and well kept, it is calm and peaceful. The employees were a breath of fresh air, kind, and were quick to help with anything at all. I highly recommend Malaga Inn, my new home away from home!!
