Good for Manta but not 5 stars

The only 5 star service at this hotel is the masseuse. She is outstanding and goes out of her way to help.
When we were there, the hotel was under construction; which is good because it is old. Only two people at the front desk, which made check in last over two hours because they could not mend the phones, deal with guests and contact the cleaning person in each floor to make sure that the rooms were ready. They gave us a free drink for the wait, but we don’t drink so….
The rooms have a nice view to the beach and a nice balcony, but they are dirty and moldy. We lived off the suitcase because the drawers and closet didn’t feel clean. Bring your own hair products, there is no conditioner and the shampoo, which comes from a dispenser, is bad. The pool is fine, but not enough chairs and definitely not enough umbrellas. Basically, it was like a so so beach motel in Jersey.
