Best hotel experience ever!

Service was excellent, we got a room with sea view. Food was great with never ending options. We'll definately coming back to GrandFAlosCabos.

Our annual anniversary and birthday trip

The Grand Fiesta Americana was highly recommended to us by several friends who had stayed there earlier this year & we were so happy that we chose this hotel for our celebrations. Overall, we had a fantastic time. we stayed in a master suite so we had use of a "private" pool as well as cafe which had food & drinks from 7am - 11pm so if we were not overly hungry for lunch or wanted a snack, we could go enjoy some quiet time there. The grounds were immaculate & you could tell the employees took pride in keeping it spotless for the guests. I don't think you could go wrong with water views from any room! Food wise, we thought the Mexican, steak house & the Penisnula restaurants were our favorites. While we heard great things about the Italian restaurant, we did not eat there as my husband did not bring slacks & we were told no shorts were allowed. Housekeeping could have been a little more consistent with re-stocking items in our room but when we did ask for items like washcloths, they were given to us immediately. The only downside which was no fault of the hotel was tropical storm Javier hit the area on our 2nd night & they had closed down the restaurants early. We were told box dinners would be delivered to our rooms but we never received anything. But, because we had eaten some light fare at the "private" cafe late that afternoon (fresh ceviche every day was my favorite!!) we were not really hungry for dinner anyways.

Les + : I loved the free room service and the food was always pretty good. Great service, everyone was very friendly.
Les - : getting a waiter to notice you quicker, needs better doors on the rooms.
Situation : Not much to do around. Mostly just stayed at the resort or went down town.
Me and my friends stayed in this hotel for about 4 days. The restaurants were nice but most of the times they were buffet style so the waitress told us to sit wither ever we want. 15 minutes later we would still be waiting for a waiter to notice us so we could order our drinks. However after they finally noticed you they had great service, so good that they would put your napkin on your lap for you and pull out your chair for you. good food, but the best churros i have ever tasted. I loved our room but the front door did not help at all with blocking the sound. whenever anyone passes by your door you could always hear it through the door. Also the hotel was kind of far from downtown, each taxi ride was 25$. Also one night we meet some friends downtown and wanted them to come to our hotel the next day so we could all go swimming together, but we asked the front desk if we could have guests and they said only if they buy a $150 dollar day pass (which seemed kind of ridiculous for swimming). Also we found a large cockroach in the bathroom the second day we were there.

Regarding the experience with your friends, we offer a day pass for people that is not staying at the resort and the regular fee is 150 usd and includes all inclusive food and beverage from 7 am until midnight. Nice hotel. Great snorkeling

Good location with very good snorkeling right off the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall good food quality at Peninsula restaurant although two of my boys did get food poisoning. Air conditioning in room was poor and difficult to cool the room below 80 degrees. All inclusive was a good deal and do not nickel and dime.

The hotel is okay, but a little bit old. Ants alot in the room. Staffs are amazing and friendly. Alot of restaurant choices.

Lovely hotel with amazing views!!

We had a room with an ocean view, king size bed, and plenty of room. We weren't crazy about the pillows but otherwise very comfortable. The grounds were amazing and plenty of pool and lounge space. It was definitely a great place to stay that's not too far from downtown.

Les - : We were disappointed the hotel didn't have nightly entertainment. One night they had a Mexican night theme. The restaurants could use AC.
Beautiful resort with very friendly staff. Location and service was excellent. Would definitely come back again when its a little cooler!!! Good wi-fii signal!!! We were disappointed the hotel didn't have nightly entertainment. One night they had a Mexican night theme. The restaurants could use AC. Very hot this time of the year. One room had little black bugs around the bed area, and in the bathroom. They came and sprayed the next day.

Beautiful fishes at the beach

Had a very relaxing vacation at this resort. Received wonderful services from Omar and Jesus at the Penusula restaurant, Marisol at the Corner Bakery, Rey at the Blue restaurant. The staffs went out of their way to make our stay special. Had great seafood at all the restaurants especially the sea bass is so fresh and delicious. Opt for the Junior suite if you can; spacious with amazing ocean view!

Les + : Walk in shower and separate tub. Food was delicious.
Les - : Communication could have been better when the Tropical Storm Javier hit. Breakfast buffet got old after a few days as same food.
Situation : It is pretty off the beaten path. You have to pay for a shuttle or cab to go to town 10 minutes. You can not just walk out to a convenient store
Room with a great view of the ocean. Dinners were great. Servers went above and beyond at meal times. Thanks to Abel at the Peninsula Breakfast Buffet, great service with humor. Pool side service with drinks and food could be better, we were ignored and others around us were being served until the last day (Edgar you were amazing).. Sushi Bar, Blu, Rosato's and the Mexican Restaurant were fantastic. Rosato's manager took the time to talk with us, Javier, server made us a special treat for our last evening at the resort. 5 pools to choose from and hot tubs. Great coral reef to snorkel in and the fish came right up to you in shallow waters. Maid services was great, they came 3 times; once in the morning to clean, afternoon to replenish fridge and snacks, and evening to turn down the covers for bedtime. Communication could have been better when the Tropical Storm Javier hit. They closed down dinner and room service early and we didn't hear until last minute as we were in the pool. They did make us a nice boxed dinner that was in the room making sure we had some food.

I regret that your perception was of discommunication during the Tropical Storm Javier, in special cases like tropical storms or hurricanes, we have to adjust the regular operation and also take necessary actions taken at the moment to ensure our guest’s and staff’s safety such as closing some restaurants for dinner, our guest services team made calls to each room to inform about this situation and I greatly appreciate the fact that the majority of guests understood and were very cooperative. As you mentioned we offered box lunches to all our guests in case they wanted more food. I greatly appreciate your insightful feedback and hope you will consider having a future vacation at Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos, we will be honored to host you again.
