Veramente difficile trovare a Lerici una location in centro con ampio giardino come questa. Vicino a tutto negozi, farmacie, supermercato sotto casa e mare due passi. Proprietario molto gentile e disponibile per qualsiasi necessità.
We loved the apartment and the location is amazing! Great restaurants, bars and supermarkets are literally on the doorstop. There is a great beach in easy walking distance, even with two young children & everything we needed for the day! The apartment has a lovely feel to it and is very comfortable. Communications with Francesco before and during our stay were great. We had all the information we needed and were met at the accommodation at a time that suited us perfectly. Lerici is lovely and we took a great boat trip from the harbour (a minutes walk from the apartment!) to the Cinque Terre. There was only one down side for me - the mosquitoes in the garden were vicious. If you normally get bitten don’t go in the garden without repellent! Otherwise this accommodation is fab! Thanks Francesco
The apartment itself is lovely; high ceilings, big rooms, clean, the bathroom even has a bath which is something I haven't come across that often in Italy. It is quite strange that the apartment is on the 1st floor of a block, but has a pretty big garden, because it is built into the side of a hill; a lovely quirky feature! The garden itself could do with a bit of love and care, it could be lovely if someone cleared the overgrowth etc and put in some climbing flowers; it would make a real difference. There are loads of mosquitos unfortunately, so any time we went out there we got bitten (even with spray) so we didn't bother. We had a dog with us, so it was great for us and probably the main reason we booked the apartment in the first place. The kitchen is well equipped, but the pans etc are enormous and the sink is a small bowl sink, so it makes it a bit awkward to use. The agent/owner did not provide any chopping knifes (for safety reasons) but did get some delivered when we complained, after we struggled to slice bread and chop vegetables with butter knifes. All the windows have sliding mosquito nets, except the kitchen/diner. It looked like it hd been broken and possibly removed and not replaced; this is a massive shame and really was difficult to not be able to have the doors open in the afternoon/evening or the mosquitos descended in droves, especially when cooking. It wasn't too hot when we were there, but I can imagine it would be really uncomfortable when the weather was really hot. The furniture is a combination of Ikea and old pieces; it a bit of a juxtaspostition, not my cup of tea, but rather than feel like it was a style statement, it felt like bit that were not wanted from the owners house. All in all it has a great location, just a short walk from the harbour and lots of restaurant and shops. There isn't a great deal to do in Lerici, but it is a very pretty place and you can get a boat from the harbour to take you around the Cinqueterra.
The apartment was spacious and very comfortable, and the very central but quiet location suited us perfectly. Lerici is such a nice town to stay in and offers so many opportunities for wonderful walks and other activities, and Francesco was very helpful both before and during our stay. However, we were puzzled by his request that we dispose of 4 bags of rubbish ourselves( taking them down to the town square) before leaving, as in our experience this is usually the responsibility of the landlord or cleaner.
