Hotel très confortable, on a beaucoup aimé le surclassement dans une chambre avec superbe vue mer, la grande amabilité de tout le personnel,à l'accueil, au restaurant, à la piscine . Le petit déjeuner buffet était excellent avec plusieurs sortes de pain "français" frais tous les jours . Par contre on a beaucoup regretté que les piscines ne soient pas chauffées, nous sommes resté 9 jours en allant à la piscine tous les jours et impossible de nager ni dans les piscines, ni dans la mer très froide . Une seule piscine était chauffée mais à l'écart et pas très propre, ça ne donnait pas envie . On a testé le room service une fois, c'était très bien, malgré une petite erreur de prix, un plat facturé 1,5 dinar en plus . Globalement une très bonne adresse, de plus l'hotel est très calme, peu ou pas de touristes, nous étions seuls à la piscine ..fréquenté essentiellement pas des locaux

As always, it is very pleasant to stay at the Movenpick Hotel (Al-Bida'a). We originally booked a two-bedroom apartment with pool access. Upon arrival and due to the unavailability of the booked apartment, we were immediately upgraded to the Villa (with pool access). Pool area is well-maintained. The breakfast buffet is delicious (but could use a little more variety). Overall, it was an enjoyable stay, and I will definitely go there again.

It took 15 minutes to check me in after the staff was discussing with the manager on whether a single person can be checked in and they were lecturing me about people visits and policies for any visitors. Beside that some staff annoyed me daily at the beach where I was laying down asking me whether I stay in the hotel and what’s my room number and my name and this was daily. And when the weather got hot the A/C in the room was bad.

Nicely situated by beach. Family room is good size with fridge freezer, washing machine, hob. Trouble is downstairs cars parked and noisy. More like a motel. Towels - not always provided or had to chase to get 2 hand towels and face cloths each day. Last night only one hand towel was left from the day before. Had to ring to get more. Not 5 star!! Breakfast good but service poor

Just okay…
My husband and I took the room that had direct access to the pool. Room was of decent size with two stove burners, a full refrigerator, a MW oven and a “washerdryer” (first time I saw one). It was very noisy, not a lot of privacy. There was only ONE towel, one pair of slippers, no robe. Not all amenities mentioned on Hotels.com really matched. Check in process was a little slow and they seemed to be understaffed. Furniture looked very old and apartment was a little dusty. Pillows smelled a little. Unstable Wi-Fi connection. By local standards, Mövenpick is definitely a good deal. By US standards, it was overpriced.

Booked my girlfriend and 2 of her female friends a 2 night stay from 12-15 May, 2021 for her birthday. Total price 1,500 USD. Upon arrival after presenting her reservation, passport and civil ID she was told that she would not be granted admission because she is not married and the resort is for families only. This is an absolute lie. Infact, the resorts website doesnt state anything even remotely close to this. After going back and forth with the staff for 30 minutes and ultimately refusing to leave after having already paid, the male at the reception pretended to call a supervisor on the phone and then dropped the entire issue. My girlfriend is a black woman and has been treated like this at multiple resorts in Kuwait before. Because of her skin complexion she is immediately perceived to be an african expat and everyone knows that they get disrespected and treated unfairly in Kuwait. She is actually a citizen of the UK. I dont think the resort realized this initially but it is downright shameful to treat anyone like that because of their skin color... Never again.

Dear Valued Customer, First of all, I would like to sincerely apologize for any behaviors that may have caused any bad feelings to your girlfriend. I would also like to inform you that we are a global company that is not subject to such behavior, and the evidence for that is that we have more than 23 nationalities around the world are working in the resort from different colors, religions and beliefs, and they are working in a perfect harmony. The resort is subject to internal laws and policies that prohibit unmarried individuals from staying in a hotel even if he/she resides in the state, and this is how most, if not all, hotels in Kuwait have been put in place. Any exception, it is necessary to take the approval from the duty manager to assess the situation in a way that does not harm the reputation of the hotel and not because of a religion, color or belief. موقع الفندق ممتاز يطل على البحر كباشر ، هادئ ، نظيف ، حمامات سباحه نظيفه ، الغرف ممتازه ولكن ينقصها الصيانه الدوريه مثل الاضاءه لاتعمل كلها والحمام به خرير مزعج انصح بالفندق
