Bel hôtel qui se fait vieux. Apparemment que nous avons eu un bon prix via Expedia, alors on nous a donné une chambre dans le Lagoon qui est un bâtiment isolé de celui principal. Tout s'est bien passé, mais tout le monde peu entrer dans ce bâtiment à ciel ouvert sans surveillance. À certains hôtels, nous n'avions pas vu de cafards, mais dès notre entré, nous en avons trouvé au Royal Kona à l'endroit du fridgedaire malgré que la chambre était propre. Demandez une chambre loin des ascenseurs, car nous entendons le bruit de la chambre. Les tapis de la chambre sont vieux comme celui du balcon et de l'espace commun. La piscine était apprécié par nos enfants, mais trop petite pour le resort et n'importe qui semble pouvoir s'y installer contrairement au Marriot dont un bracelet est requis. De olus, nous ne voyons pas vraiment le fond. Nous avons assisté au spectacle de la piscine et de la chambre. C'était super. Le drink offert à notre arrivé est vraiment une belle attention, malgré que nous ne l'avons pas aimé. Mai Tai. Le resort est beau et la vue incroyable. Le parking est difficile. Il est possible de stationner sur la rue sans payer le 25$ et être plus près pour les valises. Le personnel a été très gentil avec nous mise à part le serveur qui voulait nous faire payer le verre d'eau chaude. Finalement, il a fait couler le robinet d'eau chaude pour nous l'offrir...

Bon séjour
Très bon séjour. Aspect un peu vieillot mais chambre très spacieuse, confortable et propre. Toute petite salle de sport avec un vélo et un tapis de course. Attention aux frais de parking supplémentaires !

The room has a terrible mildew smell. We are both congested after 15 minutes in the room! Their is nothing royal about this place. They seem to be catering more for spring break teenagers. Service is limited or absent. Pool area as no service and is way to small for the number of guest. They give you a coupon for a free mai tai, but no way of getting it since they seem to have only one bartender for hundreds of guests!

The Royal Kona is oceanfront and due to the tropical location and weather, the rooms can get humid at times, but this is easily remedied by opening your balcony doors. The rooms also have a full a/c unit as well. The resort is welcoming to all guests, of all ages, and does not cater to any one group. We do hope that you had a wonderful time on the Big Island otherwise and do hope that you will consider us in the future. We would be happy to ensure that you are happier with your stay.

Voyage de noces sur les îles d.Hawaï, nous avons visité Big Island. L hôtel est très vieillot et le rapport qualité / prix n.est pour moi pas du tout au rdv car tarifs très élevés (plus cher qu.a Waikiki!). Pas de double vitrage, prévoir des boules quies… par contre, très bon emplacement en bord de mer et superbe spot pour les couchers de soleil.

I enjoyed how close it was to the shops. The only issue i had is when I was going to bed i inspected the pillows and ine of them had a drop of blood on it. I reported it to the front office. I checked in on April 19th.

The place is at the most beautiful place in Kona. I only got to stay just one night before heading North. The staffs are very kind and especially the Assitant Director of rooms, Wendy Victor, was beyond exceptional. I had an issue with my room, and she took care of the issue beyond my expectation. Excellent service!!! My flying in to Kona was so bad, but the service at the Royal Kona made me forget that and start my vacation with warm Hawaiian welcome!!!

Very nice view of the ocean. Nice pool and plenty of pool chaises. Would have liked a hot tub near pool. Voucher for two free Mai Tais given as you check in. ..best ones I ever had! Nice open-air restaurant with good views. Room was very nice; liked the “pencil-like” lights next to each bed…nice for reading when others are sleeping. We were in a deluxe one bedroom with ocean view.

Great resort but to find parking is challenging even after paying ridiculous amount for parking. It is Hawaii so everything is expensive we should know but I would recommend this place. It is overall a very nice resort and would stay there again.

The only big downside was the greeting from the staff. It was very unwelcoming and not friendly whatsoever. The check in was very vague and we had to figure things out on our own. Besides that, the bartender and the towel guy were very friendly and fun to chat with.

The package deal we got with Expedia was the discounted ‘remodel’ deal. We were in the area Royal Kona was remodeling. The room was nice and spacious but it lacked some amenities. For example, there was a fridge , but no microwave and there was space for one. The towels and linens were about a 2.5-3 star. Each room had a lanai, which was nice to have a drink on, recap the day and plan the next. If you park in the gates it’s $29/day, outside it’s free. The grounds are very nice. There is a pool, spa, tennis courts, small workout room, nice restaurant and bar. There is a designated concierge office and small general shop. The location is fantastic. There is a luau on the property 1-2 times a week. I would stay again once the remodel is complete.

We love the hotel. All of the staff was friendly and inviting. We had one bad staff at restaurant. We didn’t let it ruin our whole trip. They however questionable at hotel counter about how we paid third party. We still paid our bill. It shouldn’t matter how we book it. Security and cleaning staff very sweet and took care of us. Tyler is a manager in restaurant that did address some issues and needs. Excellent care. FOOD IS TOP NOTCH. Coffee in rooms not great but I think it could be changed. Thank you for making sure I was taken care of. We will always come back here. Security team very nice to us. Maintenance went out of their way to make sure we were happy and everything worked great. So worth the stay.

Stayed 5 nights at the Royal Kona Resort. Good location, walkable to Kona shops, restaurants and pier. Room was spacious and well maintained. Dining in the seafront restaurant provided a spectacular view but the bar service was very slow. Plenty of parking but charged $25/day.

Clean rooms, friendly staff. They were renovating our tower at the time, so any needed improvements that I would mention will hopefully be taken care of. Only two suggestions to offer: more lighting in the rooms, and the addition of a microwave.

This property is beautiful - we stayed oceanfront and the views were amazing! The only thing that didn’t give it a 5 all the way down- is I noticed that floors in the hallways were dirty and were not vacuumed the 7 days we were there and the elevator floor and doors were dirty and covered in fingerprints. The hostesses at the restaurant were rude and didn’t seem to want to be there. But the room, the vibe, location and the grounds were all fantastic!

This is an old hotel and the bed mattresses are very hard, low quality. The staff did accommodate by bringing a one and half mattress topper which made it sleepable. The restaurant food is not very good but convenient. Breakfast waffles was the best thing I had there.

Cons: it’s an older property, but clean. older female staff at the restaurant were rude Positive: front desk staff friendly, sea wall and hotel lagoon were awesome! Within short walking distance to ABC store, restaurants, and shaved ice.
