Correct pour un court séjour
Trop cher pour la qualité. 20 $ à payer en plus pour frais de services. Propreté à améliorer dans notre chambre mais site extérieur très propre. Bon emplacement pour un court séjour car près de l'aéroport. Mais ne vous fiez pas à la navette pour aller vous chercher ou vous rendre à l'aéroport. Même en réservant la navette 48 heures à l'avance, on nous informe après coup qu'il n'y a plus de place. Service offert par un tiers et il semble y avoir très peu de place. On a finit par négocier l'annulation des frais de service mais cela n'a pas couvert les frais pour le taxi. Avantage : ils nous ont permis de rester sur le site plus longtemps vu un vol en fin de journée.

Bon hôtel avec piscine près de l’aéroport
L’Aston Islander on the Beach est un hôtel pavillonnaire organisé autour d’une piscine de taille correcte, avec une profondeur allant de 2,40m à 90 cm. Possibilité de plonger et de nager. Bar sympa près de la piscine. Pas de possibilité de repas sur place mais proximité immédiate de commerces, restaurants et cafés abordables. Une kitchenette avec un micro-onde, une cafetière et un frigo table top convenable avec quelques ustensiles. A noter une bienveillance pour l’acces au “resort” après le check-out: nous partions à 20h, check out à 11h, et on a eu droit à la piscines avec serviette sans difficultés. Certaines chambres sont plus ou moins rénovées mais confort très correct avec un bon rapport qualité prix, climatisation plutôt silencieuse. A noter un service de réservation d’activités de bon conseil sur place

Plus: hôtel central pour visiter les deux côtés de l'île, commerces et restos à proximité, propre et aéré, jolie plage et vue. Moins: clim peu performante, très chaud, frais de ressort en plus pour des prestations que nous n'utilisons pas...

Amplement satisfaisant!
Nous avons été très satisfaits de notre séjour. Les lieux étaient propres et le personnel, fort accueillant. Bel accès à la plage et accès gratuit aux BBQ sur la terrasse commune, près de la piscine. Hôtel très bien situé, avec tous les services à proximité. Nous recommandons fortement!

We had a great stay at the Islander! Grounds were beautiful and meticulously kept. Room was clean. Free 2 hour bike rental was a pleasant surprise as well as a movie rental. Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Shopping and dining within walking distance. Can’t think of one complaint.

The customer service here left much to be desired and the room was outdated and musty. The positive was the location was right across the beach and a night stroll revealed the beautiful stars in Kauai. Would not rebook because of how outdated everything was. Another downside is no daily cleaning unless you stay 5 nights.

Lovely property, right on the beach and close to shops and restaurants, staff all very nice and helpful. Not quite sure what the amenities charge was for, they did provide beach towels, but were very reluctant to supply tea or coffee refills for the rooms, and only cleaned the room every 3-4 days. Having said that I would be very happy to return

Room was in bad shape, definitely needed a remodel. Toilet kept backing up, and we finally asked them to leave us a plunger. Will probably not return to this property.

No complaints except for the bed, mattress was shot and our backs paid the price. Other than that it was a great place. Our view was amazing in the morning watching the sun rise.

We really enjoyed our stay. We left the lanai door open so that we could hear the surf. No road noise. Fantastic. The grounds are kept in perfect shape. There is a shopping area with a grocery store next to the resort.

Great! Only drawback was inebriated guests in hot rob late at night keeping everyone awake and guests in adjoining balconies having conversations on loud speakers. Lovely otherwise and would return. Doors would block noise-even the roosters

If you stay here, get the oceanfront room! Beach is 20 feet away. Lounge chairs on beach. Tiki. Pool. Dated and clean. Close to stores. Would come back!

Terrible Aloha Welcome!
Our plane was not scheduled to land until about 10:30 pm (which the hotel knew about) and then we had to get a rental car so we didn't get to the hotel until after midnight. The only person there to greet us was the security guard who said the only thing she could do was give us the keys to our rooms, if there were any problems with the rooms we would have to wait until morning to get them resolved. This hotel has no elevator and they put the room with 2 beds on the second floor (even though I requested handicap accessible), so my 83 year old parents (one with a bad back and one with double knee replacement) and I (with a full-leg brace due to recent knee surgery) had to climb up the stairs to get to our room. The security guard said we could call her until 1 am if we needed any additional pillows or blankets, but when we called she didn't answer. So, there's no one (not even security) at this hotel from 1 am until someone gets in in the morning. The room was so damp and mildewy, it felt like our sheets had just been taken out of the washer and never put in the dryer. Would not recommend this place AT ALL!

Beautiful Sunrises
5 stars for the ocean view, sunrises, and nearby beaches, restaurants, and shopping. Nice small pool, hot tub, and pool bar but the room we stayed in needs a serious renovation (bed, bathroom, kitchen, doors, furniture, etc). Cleanliness could also be better.
