Welcoming and friendly staff, family room was spacious with a proper bath, good quality and selection at breakfast, would use again and as a bonus had a pokestop.

Friendly and helpful staff and excellent food in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. The only faults were: the shampoo bottle in the shower was impossible for me to use, as I have weak wrists. I had to call my partner in to squeeze the bottle and even he found it difficult. It would be impossible for someone with arthritis to use. Also, we could not reduce the temperature of the radiator, It was either hot or cold.

Good food, good beds, good facilities and staff friendly and responsive. Niggle that no bedside lights and no usable hanging space. We operated out of our cases, but we were there for only 2 nights.

We arrived to find that the heating wasn’t working in our room. We were moved straight away. The shower was lovely and hot. Room more than adequate. We stayed for 2 nights which included breakfast which was very good indeed.

October overnight stay
Fabulous stay at Newtown House Hotel. Room was the spacious turret room which was very comfortable with tea and coffee, hair dryer, iron etc - everything you could need. Staff were super friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing! The choice was excellent - fruit, cereals, yogurts, bakery items, toast, jams etc. as well as a fantastic offering of cooked breakfasts. As much tea and coffee as you could drink. The service was impeccable - super friendly lady attended us and the tables were all laid beautifully. Could not fault anything at all and would highly recommend!!

Adequate but very disappointing. No bedside lights. Inadequate shower. It took forever to heat up and there was not enough water to cover a body! Toiletries on the cheap side. Mediocre bedding. Very small tv. Just not as nice as we expected for the money.

Absolute gem of a location. Rooms spotless. Loadso of parking onsite. Friendly staff. Nice bar. Very quiet site. Beach is 10 min walk. Westown 4 mins... Decent price too. Definitely will stay again.

Lovely old building, good car park and excellent staff. A convenient location with an easy 15 minute walk to the beach. Bedroom was quite spacious and clean with lovely fresh bed linen, tea and coffee facilities, tv and a makeup mirror on a stand, which was very helpful. Exterior paintwork could have done with a little tlc and the wi-fi needed upgrading. The bathroom was clean and the shower was adequate but needed attention, as there was a crack in the shower tray and the grouting needed cleaning/replacing. The breakfast was excellent, although it would have been nice to include some fruit as well.

Booked 2 nights & 3 rooms for family & friends. We were attending Goodwood members meet. Slight issue on Friday night was no restaurant but a special steak night in bar. Too expensive for us. Went 5 mins down Road & had a carvery. Saturday again no restaurant so ate out again. Breakfast we all went to carvery down road after checkout on Sunday morning. Bar & staff all very good

no dinning at evening, breakfast £10 for full english, tea, coffee,cereal,toast, no scale down if you only want toast,tea, poached eggs, £10 for egg on toast to expensive. bed was abit small in lenght and width. no hot water from sink taps .toilet kept filling up and running until i fixed it removing cistern cover and adjusting the float.

Restaurant closed despite being shown on Expedia. Stairs up to room very difficult for seniors to come down perhaps even dangerous. Breakfast good. Room and bathroom good but sparsely furnished - not at 3 star level. Clean

This was a last minute booking to visit new grand daughter, the accommodation was fantastic, clean and warm, staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and will visit again

Well located for Hayling Island visit
The location was right for us but we were dissapointed with the shower in the room. It had a very meagre amount of water that made showering very difficult. When mentioning this on departure it was meant with minimal interest and the excuse that previous people who have stayed in the room had not mentioned it. Surely the cleaner must use it to clean the shower!

Nice for the price, best for leisure not business
Was nice enough, plenty of free parking, clean, friendly staff. More suited to recreational visits, I was there on business and not serving breakfast until 8am is too late for many business trips. Walls were very thin so could hear speech in adjacent rooms, but not the end of the world. Overall was a pleasant place to stay for a reasonable price.
