Nice hotel that needs some updates

Les + : Friendly staff, airport shuttle, comfortable bed, nice breakfast buffet
Les - : Certain areas of the hotel (i.e., heat in the fitness center, as well as the treadmill, and the laundry equipment) were not working.
I had to spend an extra night in Grand Rapids due to an ice storm and cancelled flight. I was able to get a decent rate for one night at the last minute.

Great value. Easy access to highway, restaurants.

Wonderful place to stay for a night with a young family. My kids loved this hotel. It had a family friendly pool/hot tub, great food service area, and the rooms were clean, comfortable and well planned.

Only thing good was pool. One star nice. Afternoon evening person rude. TV channels did not work and desk guy was put out just by inquiring. Room barely clean with stains all over furniture. Rollout bed was barely sleepable—old bumpy. Would not stay here agIn

close to airport and freeway

We've stayed here several times previously, but this time we were given a room that was handicapped accessible. The bathroom was not painted well, and didn't have much room for extras. I think the hotel was full, and since we arrived late at night, we got the last available room. We love the location of the hotel, and the fact that they furnish real cups and dishes in their dining area.

When we checked in (2 teen girls and 1 adult) they put us in a one bed room. The room was too small and so was the bed. They cancelled our reservation because they didn't have a room with two beds. I was appalled and told them that I couldn't believe they would think we would take the room. Because it was not MY FAULT, I do not expect to get charged. You may want to drop them from your list of hotels.

Les + : Pool & Hot tub nice. Breakfast was okay.
Les - : A genuine smile & eye contact. Hear the concerns & write down information. Maybe, a walk through the staircase on both ends.
Situation : The Mall & Great restaurants around location.
Non-personal Management. Fridge was not working. Told Management about it; Maintenance was suppose to repair. Nothing was looked at or a simple reply given. 2 bags of Trash was on 2nd floor stairway landing when we arrived & was still there after our 2 day stay.

Great experience-A quiet respite and refuge

The Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Close attention was paid to the details of our request. The dining area was well stocked and maintained. The entire facility was freshly updated.

When coming to Grand Rapids to see family, this is the most reasonable and convenient location for us.

Good location for my trip

Had a call from the front desk shortly after arriving asking if our room was ok and did we need anything. If there was a floor lamp by the chair for reading it would have been perfect.
