We are sorry that you had issues with your stay. We try to check all breakfast before putting it out for guests to eat but this package was newly opened and was received yesterday. We have contacted the company and they are looking into it. We will make sure to check even the new shipments as well. The door looked to have been slammed too hard, possibly by the previous guests. Our housekeepers did not notice anything wrong as it was the inner workings of the door knob that had a pin loose. Our maintenance man already fixed it in no time after you checked out. We apologize for this inconvenience, and wish the previous guest would have said something to prevent this. When offered another room you declined, and there isn’t much beyond that we could have done for this mistake. We appreciate your review and for staying with us, thank you. Please rest assured that we have fixed any and all issues and will continue to check them more frequently in the future.

We do not rent to Grand Island residents. If you informed Expedia of this then they should have told you as well. No hotels in town rent to residents and even Hastings does not allow Grand Island residents and vice versa. If the insurance company calls us to tell us any issues with housing, then we proceed with the bookings. However, yours was not the case. When you showed your ID we informed you of this and told you to contact Expedia for the refund. We can not contact them as they have to have customer confirmation when refunding. You have not called them, so we can not proceed until you have done so. Please contact them right away, it is very simple and we do not mind at all if this confusion happens. Just understand the policies set by most hotels, and if you don’t know then please contact them beforehand. We are always happy to help. Thank you.

We have a pest control spray twice a month all around the inside and outside of the building, if a customer has any complaints we notify them right away to come back due to their quality guarantee.
