8/10
We stayed mid June on an all inclusive basis. The AI was very limited for drinks, we had to pay for tea and if you wanted anything other basic spirits, beer or wine. No tonic/mixers available even to buy, just fizzy orange, lemon or full fat coke from machine. Plastic glasses even at dinner, though I did just ask the staff for a glass and take it to the bar as all drinks were self service. No cocktails on offer the way itâs shown online as Iâd have been happy to pay for these. I did buy great Aperol Spritz but Iâd just asked for this - no menu showing what was available.
The gym & Al la carte restaurant were closed which was disappointing. The foyer was being re- decorated. I got the impression it was an âout of season â vibe as all the theme nights etc you see online didnât take place.
This may all seem negative but we did have a good time, I think you just need to manage expectations. We paid less than ÂŁ1000 for 2 people for a week - which was still good value.
The staff were very helpful and the concierge arranged transport and a restaurant booking for a fantastic evening in Tirana.
The food was fairly good, plenty of choice and we always found something we could eat. A criticism would be that you just found your own table, which meant my husband and I had to go up at different times to buffet as weâd have lost the table otherwise as the staff just cleared whatever was there if no one was sitting.
Iâd say this was a decent 3 star hotel.
