Do not book this hotel
The Manager of this property was extremely rude, his actions were discriminatory and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The interior of the lobby was not welcoming and this was the area dedicated gor "free breakfasts." Stay away from this hotel!!!

We had a very pleasant stay here. The front desk clerk who checked us in was very hospitable. The hotel is an older hotel but has been remodeled and well maintained. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. I am sure we will stay here again the next time we are in the area.

The room was clean. Room service was poor. My waste paper basket was full. I notified the receptionist, but the trashcan was never emptied out during my stay.

Site offered pool and breakfast. Pool was closed for no apparent reason. Breakfast was a continental breakfast but access to lobby were offered was locked occasionally during morning hours.

We would have been delighted to facilitate a later closing to accommodate your hours and are happy to do so in the event that we have the pleasure of hosting you again.Additionally, we serve a continental breakfast between 7:00 to 10:00 AM daily have a 24-hour bell concierge service. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience associated with accessing the lobby.

Check in was easy and pleasant. I was in town for Artfields and the hotel was near capacity. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

Much Better Than The Reviews
Check in was ok. The person was not overly friendly, but not rude. They told me what I needed to know. The room was much better than the reviews that I read. I had some trepidation about staying there for two nights. However, the room appeared to have been renovated. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Also, it was quiet and I slept well. The price was very reasonable as well. I would stay there again.

There was a gap in the front door that you could see light front the outside. I feel this is a safety issue. I just did not feel comfortable there.

There was construction going on and you could not sleep late because at 9 am they started, water cut off for hours and no discount was offered, or they should have told bookers this was going on

How anyone could have given this a good review is beyond me. This rooms looked like a vague attempt at trying to be clean. The beds looked like they hadnt been changed and someone before us slept on it, the bathroom had hair, mold and huge stains on the ceiling, the chair was disgusting and the person at the front desk was extremely rude. I asked a simple question based on information in the lobby and he snapped at me, told me i was wrong and if i didnt like it then i didnt have to stay there. Very poor customer service in my opinion. So yourself a favor stay somewhere else.

buyer beware
after checking in and paying a 135 dollars with hotels.com my driver was asked for a card for incidentals and was charged for the room again.he was also charged a dollar for printing a pc of paper.the room had patched holes in the doors and toliets arent fastend down.i promise when i say after stayin here your clothes will smell like curry for days.

I didn’t like being charged for two nights when I only spent one. I didn’t like that the room was hot when I checked in, the bathtub was dirty, and the tv wasn’t set up. I especially didn’t like the proprietor blaming the dirty bathtub on not having enough help “because people were just sitting home on unemployment insurance.” If she’s not paying them more than $1200 per month, that may be true. Try living on that!

Apologies that the housekeeper missed the bathtub however, the issues you addressed were taken care right away. We are sorry that your were charges two nights however, the hotel requirement was two night minimum due to the special event, we are sorry that you did not have boarding for your dog and had to leave early. Just for your knowledge the governor for South Carolina announced the very next day that all federal unemployment benefits stop in June due to shortage of labor. Thank you for your suggestion however, there is no reason for me to live on $1200 a month if I am willing work for more by going to work each day.

For the price, it was adequate. However, while the room overall was neat and clean, the floor was filthy - Ended up laying towels down to walk on when barefoot. Also, the bathroom door was damaged as if it had been kicked or hit with something. The same with a section of wall.

Upon checking a charge of $35 per night for pet was applied vs $25 as noted on expedia. Breakfast WAS NOT included as advertised on expedia.

We are sorry that your travel agent misinformed you about the check in as 11am, we apologize that we could not check you in at that time since, guest check out at 11am. The check in time is 3pm which gives hotels time to clean rooms. We also understand that you made reservation online for two guest however, at check in you had more. Please be informed that there is an extra charge for extra adults and we were only doing our job. We know that you were upset since, you could not check in at 11am and told us that you would give us a bad rating. We really hope that you had mentioned any of your issues during you stay giving the hotel a chance to serve you. Thank you.

I booked this hotel because it was the cheapest in that area. We didn't get a chance to even stay here because the professionalism of the front staff was HORRIBLE! First of all, half of the time they don't answer the phone. What hotel never answers their phone!?! I had to make a change to my reservation but i ended up canceling due to the front desk rep being so disrespectful. I think her name was "Nina". We were there due to death in the family and this lady refused to listen to my complaint about no one answering the phone. She hung the phone up on me twice. So i ended up calling hotels.com to cancel my reservation with them. If the staff is unprofessional and rude, why should anyone book a room at this hotel. Never again will I even consider booking at this hotel.

Sorry, you could not stay at the hotel due to the death in your family. As, per hotel policies reservations made on third party website must be cancelled through them. We are still surprised that you mad at Nina, but I am not sure that you are aware that Nina, the manager was kind enough to cancel your reservation without penalty even though it was past the cancellation time. Anyway, I hope you are feeling better, as a reminder for future you may want to book on brand direct to have better control over cancellations. Thank you.

We are sorry for the inconvenience you have may have experienced at the hotel. We understand that you had a great stay previously and during your second stay you kept extending your stay with via Expedia requesting the same room. It is common policy for you to renew keys each time you extent your stay while making a new reservation via Expedia and requesting the same room too. The hotel had advised you that due to Covid-19 the room cannot be serviced to keep you and the housekeeping staff at minimal contact. We do not tolerate racism and therefore, will not be able to accommodate you in the near future. We appreciate that there even thou there are other hotels hotels in town but you choose to stay with us three times. Thank you.
