tres recommandable
Bien situé. Jardin verdoyant avec fontaine. Terrasse agréable. Bon accueil. Mais un peu bruyant particulièrement quand le portier descend des valises à 8:00 am en les traînant dans les escaliers ou quand la réception fait un Check ou à 3:00 am en laissant les clients parler à voix haute. Rapport qualité prix un peu élevé.

Hotel tres prés de la zawouia, sites touristiques
Excellent séjour. Je pars souvent á fès, Maroc mais jamais dans cet hotel. C'est la premiere fois et c'était génial sur tous les points (personnels accueillants, properté, comfort, repas, etc..)

très beau ryad à l'entrée de la médina
nous sommes restés quatre nuits dans ce très beau ryad proche de la médina au début du mois de mars 2014 les chambres sont très agréables, calmes , bien chauffées et donnent sur un jardin intérieur ; de cet endroit nous avons pu visiter la médina de fes sans difficulté et prendre des taxis à partir d'un parking tout proche pour nous rendre dans les autres parties de la ville (fes el jedid ,ville nouvelle, tombeaux des mérinides ) ou nous rendre à MEKNES et VOLUBILIS le petit déjeuner est parfait , avec en prime la dégustation chaque jour d'un plat marocain (potage le plus souvent) , en conclusion une très bonne adresse pour passer quelques jours à FES

Idéal pour un couple
Le paradis des mille et une nuits au milieu de la médina. Un accueil au top, de gentilles attentions, une chambre romantique, un délicieux dîner dans le patio près de la fontaine avec le chant des oiseaux, des petits déjeuners en terrasse, une vue spectaculaire depuis la terrasse, tout le monde est gentil et à l'écoute, on recommande +++. L'endroit idéal pour une lune de miel, un anniversaire de mariage... Le riad vous propose également des ballades et des excursions avec des guides gentils et compétents.

The front desk was over the top helpful with all of our needs -bus tickets, translations, questions, PCR test. The Riad is close to the parking area so it’s easy to get your bags to the room.

This is not my first time to stay in this lovely boutique hotel. I enjoy my time just chilling in the lovely garden in the hotel drinking Moroccan tea (attay). The rooms are clean and the food is fresh. the staff are happy to serve you at any time. I would highly recommend and sure will visit again. Thanks to all the staff was in the Palais they are great.

A beautiful, welcoming oasis
This is a gorgeous Riad with a lovely courtyard garden. Rooms are unique and ornately Moroccan. There are some minor imperfections but these are to be expected in a place of such originality and character. The rooftop terrace is a lovely place to relax at the end of the day and have mint tea. The service is outstanding! The food is good but not great, the riad’s weakest point, but I would recommend it without hesitation and would certainly stay here again.

Very noisy after hours
The main dining is just outside the room so if you have a group staying late for dinner and drinks after it can get very loud. We asked the front desk at around midnight to see if they could get the guests to lower the noise and nothing changed. Also if you sleep late, the noise is there in the morning. Other then that the experience was good.

Seen as a 'walking dollar' sign.
Attitude by staff to guests, particularly in restaurant is bordering on rude. Very obvious one is seen as a 'walking dollar'. Restaurant bills need to be checked as do check-out details. Suites were considerably larger than classic rooms, but for guests in ground floor rooms definitely not private, unless you drew the curtains! Our classic room on first floor was very dark, small and narrow. The location in the medina was good. The photos of the hotel are basically accurate but there is no way to identify atmosphere!

This was roughing it too much for me. I didn’t like the tannery smell right in the heart of fez. The alley ways are cool but I don’t like the smell and grunginess. The room was ok but dark and old. The sheets were itchy. There was a bug that flew out of the chocolate next to my bed. The food was not that great though the breakfast was nice. I wouldn’t return unfortunately.

Great place to stay.
It was a maze as is most of fez to find the place, but once found it's a great location, great service and environment. Wasn't a fan of their restaurant, and expensive of course. Service was excellent but food was meh.

Poderia ser melhor. Uma melhor estrutura nos quartos, com corretas manutenções, principalmente no ar condicionado. E por que não estudarem a colocação de uma piscina. Aí seria perfeito. Mas curti de qualquer maneira. Equipe mega atenciosa e preços razoáveis. Cerveja quente, isso não curti.

Palais Amani bad experience
Un hotel muy bonito dentro de la medicina de Fes, pero no tiene acceso con auto debes caminar unos 5 minutos unas escaleras y un camino empedrado angosto para llegar junto con tu maletas. La gente de administración parece ser muy amable pero cuando les pides un favor dicen que lo van hacer y realmente no te lo hacen. Hacen cobros existimos por el uso de un taxi que cuesta 30 DRH te cobran 300 DRH o más. El aire acondicionado no funciona (ellos dicen que si) así que debes estar preparado a estar en una a una sauna en la noche. Nosotros les solicitamos un día completo de guía con todo incluido, nos lo cotizaron, pero cuando llegamos allá nos dieron un guía sólo por cinco horas, el cual nos estuvo constantemente apurando y encima nos cobraron el taxi adicionalmente. Cuando les pedimos el traslado para ir al aeropuerto, cobraban exactamente el doble que todas las demás compañías con las cuales cotizamos. El personal que trabaja ahí tiene doble cara, te sonríen pero en realidad no te ayudan, y lo único que quieren es tu dinero, no recomiendo a nadie ir allí.

Dear Guest , We are saddened that you were not entirely happy with your stay and that, despite the discussion you had with management and reception staff, we were unable to entirely satisfy your requests whilst you were here; However there are a number of things that you have written that are quite simply untrue and we can not just accept to leave them unanswered: First of all we would like to clarify that the hotel is only 50 m from the parking located in gold triangle and we have a doorman to help with the luggage for every arrival , regarding the 300 dirham you decided to take a car with driver along with the guide before the visit and you accept it , and straight after the tour you changed your mind and you refused to pay it , and i believe upon check out you refused to pay some charges for no reason and you even threatened to leave a bad review which we are replying now because you did not get what you want for free , unfortunately this is something away far from customer service or even service recovery which no hotel will accept . Thank you for understanding .

A traditional accommodation within the Medina
First off, you should know that any structure within the Medina cannot be changed only renovated with restrictions. With that being said, the Palais Amani is a very traditional and vintage option if you want to be very near the action within the old walls. It shows it's age, but it also shows it's character. Staff is attentive and pleasant. Pretty good lunch and dinner options, though breakfast is basic. Rooms are quite large. Unfortunately they are doing some light construction which affects the quality (peace) of the stay right now.

A gem in the Fes medina
We arrived in Marrakech from our ouvernight in the Sahara and what an amazing experience we had at the Palais Amani. Staff and even the owner were on site. Reception staff immensely helpful in arranging every little thing to make our stay perfect. Location is perfect and easy to get to by cab whether you come from the airport or simply want to cab it up to the Blue Gate for a dinner without the sweats.

A Hidden Gem
The stay could not have been more perfect from the warm mint tea upon check in to the fabulous food, incredible accommodations and beautiful Moroccan decor. But most of all the pleasant completely accommodating staff. We even had lovely conversation with the owner & his wife. I would recommend it to anyone planning to visit Fes.

Wow, hotel with garden, fountain,like in a palace
Had a grand suite with morracan style decorations. High ceiling with big colorful art work glass windows, living room and huge bathroom with big tub and shower area seperately. Breakfast on terrace or garden area, have their own restaurant facility and very well decorated, elevator too.

Extraordinary Hotel. Beautiful and well located in the Medina. Excellent service and staff, great food! The only matter we would like to repair is the transparent entrance door to our room ) No. 8 ) why not make it opaque like the windows

Amazing customer service. Staff warm and welcoming. Very comfortable room. Beautiful decor. Food excellent Easy access to old medina shopping. Would recommend hiring a guide for a few hours

A beautiful gem at the doorstep of the Fez medina.
From the moment we arrived the service was outstanding. We were greeted warmly and given all the information about Fez and assistance we needed. The hotel, being a restored palace is absolutely beautiful and has the most stunning large central courtyard. Would love to stay there again.

Overpriced and for certain niche travelers
My experience started with two identical emails within 24 hours asking me a series of questions about my personal preferences and if I wanted to book other services they offer. Had I not answered the second, I likely would've gotten a third. I answered no to everything -- breakfast, day trips, taxi service, dinner in their restaurant, guided tour, spa/hamman, cooking and calligraphy lessons, etc. Arriving at the riad, I'm asked where my friends and luggage are. My booking was for one, and I didn't know I needed more stuff. Served mint tea, which was the best I had during my month in Morocco, my details were collected. Initially impressed by my room, I soon found three noise sources -- window facing one side of the alley, bathroom window facing other side of the alley going to souks, and room door allowing me to hear every voice and footstep in reception, hallways and riad's front door. Wifi also wasn't working, which is fine if I were on holiday and intermittently checking email and posting photos. However, I needed it to work for a block of hours. The only place it worked was downstairs in the courtyard -- public, noisy, cold. And even this dropped. Last thing is the grossly inflated prices of food and drink, day trips and services. Water is eight times the price outside the door. Day trips are double and triple the price, taxi service is triple and quadruple. If you're ignorant and want don't want to experience Morocco, Palais Amani is for you.
