The outside of the hotel had me worried, but the room was nice enough and the bathroom was spacious!

This is a great location to enjoy the redwoods and the bike trails nearby .The room we got was nice, quite and clean. We could not check in early, we and two others in our party got early wake up knocks from the maid and manager at 9 am, kept coming back, breakfast is going down hill, staff is very pleasant and helpful.

Before booking desk said they had hot tub. On arrival closed for repairs. Paid for 2 beds- got one. Check in with paid reservation took 35 minutes.

Les + : Location to HSU but there is WAY better hotels the same distance.
Les - : Everything about this hotel needs improving. It was a Quality Inn and Suites (QI) and now a Ramada. They only have banners and signs covering the old
Situation : The location is good for HSU but there is WAY better hotels the same distance.
As we walked into the lobby to checked in, there was another couple complaining about the room condition and how terrible it was. They ended up not staying and cancelled the reservations. We checked in and they took a photo copy of my credit card. I was not pleased with this and they promised it was going to be destroyed upon check out. The hall way to the rooms are freezing cold and dirty with muddy footprints. The room was your typical 2 queen beds, dresser, small TV and basic bathroom. The headboards of both queen beds where missing parts and pieces. There was chunks of drywall missing that the staff painted over. The bathroom only had one roll of TP, no extra roll. The bathroom mirror was scratched and paint missing. The carpet was stained and OLD just like the room fixtures...OLD! Update the rooms and remodel! We asked the staff if we could have a mini fridge since we where staying for 2 nights and was told "No, but they could move us to a Garden View" for fifteen dollars more a night that had a mini fridge and microwave. We declined. Overall the entire hotel needs a serious remodel, from the front desk to all the rooms! The breakfast...free but has issues too. Typical ham, eggs, waffles, bread/toast, and others. We saw the breakfast staff warming up the ham in the microwave in a plastic container filled with water. Really? They could have done that behind closed doors so the guest don't see, but it was done using the microwave in the breakfast area.

Comfortable bed and good location, quiet and nice

Other than the broken lamp, torn recliner, missing towels and to, small tv, it was great! The bed was comfortable which is the important thing and the room was quiet and the curtains block all the light out. The staff is very helpful and the hotel is going thru renovations. We also stayed during a holiday so staff was low and in previous stays had no missing towels etc. will be going back.

Les + : The location was why we choose it.
Les - : Needs a complete remodel and update to all rooms and furniture.
The hotel is very dated. Room was not in great condition. Furniture was old and bathroom mirror had a big spot in the middle of the mirror. Exterior doors did not lock at night. Very poor condition.

Location is convenient, check-in was easy, lobby is nice, parking is easy. I didn't like that anyone could walk into the halls w/o a key. Our room had DEFINITELY been smoked in, although it was a non-smoking room. The bedspreads and dust ruffles were noticeably dirty. My sheets were dirty, hopefully just stained, but still - yuck! The hot water handle on the bathroom sink didn't work at all. It was quiet, so I slept quiet well.
