Would love to give this a positive review but..the fact it doesnât have air conditioning impacted our stay greatly, making âsleepâ very uncomfortable and our time in Edinburgh less enjoyable. Having a small child we carried a monitor which showed the roomâs temperature at 30 degrees. The floors are extremely creaky (2 bed 2 bath apartment) so youâre very aware if you have children sleeping. The apartment is a decent size and the location is very central but the windows are thin so can hear a lot, oh and part of the window frame came apart but was âfixedâ by reception.
The apartment offered a generally positive experience. The apartment was well-equipped, clean, and situated in a convenient location. The host was responsive and accommodating, ensuring a smooth check-in process (access code was changed last minute via email).
However, a significant issue arose upon our arrival: the apartment lacked windows. This detail was not mentioned in the listing, and we were not informed beforehand (in the listing it was written as âno special view). The absence of windows made the space feel closed off and stuffy, and the artificial lighting could not compensate for the lack of natural light. Additionally, ventilation was ok but noisy), leading to discomfort during our stay.
While the apartment's amenities and location were commendable, the lack of windows significantly impacted our comfort and overall experience. We believe this is a crucial detail that potential guests should be aware of before booking.
In light of this, we would rate our stay at 3 out of 5 stars. We recommend that the host update the listing to include this information, allowing future guests to make an informed decision.
The fact that after 18:00 there was no one in reception wasn't great and the fact that if we wanted some cleaning in the room we would be charged extra wasn't great either specially since we paid a lot for the room
very nice inside.
when desk inside manned, staff very helpful.
But desk often not manned and customer service very unhelpful. Took 3 hours for online checkin.
Fire alarm kept going off randomly including early in morning and no one on desk so all residents standing around downstairs not knowing what to do.
Main problem that property managed from afar (overseas) and this does not provide good customer service.
This is a perfect location. Also we were mother daughter so having a small living area and a bedroom and event bathroom gave us lots of space. So walkable
What else can I say except this is the perfect place to stay when visiting Edinburgh. Everything is run through the mobile app including getting a ride from the airport. There is 24 hour key code access for extra safety and convenience. It's a couple of blocks from the city center, bus station, train station and Dean's Village. There are plenty of options around for food and drink and grocery to cook in the studio. We had a chance to meet some staff while we were leaving and they were both super friendly. I will absolutely stay here again when I visit Edinburgh.
My partner and I really enjoyed our stay. The space is big, beautiful and light filled. Perks for us after travelling a couple of weeks were having a kitchen, the washing machine & a seperate living area. Unfortunately they donât offer room servicing unless you pay an extra price, however they do have a little service cabinet in the lobby where you can stock up on items such as coffee pods, toilet paper etc which I thought was a great inclusion. It was our favourite hotel so far on our travels. Thanks for having us.
Very spacious accommodation and ideally located for the railway station and for getting around Edinburgh. Communication before and during our stay was excellent. Nothing I could fault.
