Publié le 9 janv. 2018 sur HotelsWe were in the room downstairs with two beds. It was comfortable and big. Breakfast was good and bathroom was just across from the bedroom. Close to town. Only improvement would be is to have net curtains on the windows.

Stylish stay inamazing B & B
Publié le 11 déc. 2017I booked a room as it was cheap and at a good location, planning to find someplace else the next day. Upon arrival, I immediately asked to extend my stay as this place was magical. Stayed in the Victorian room, which was a cool experience.
Breakfast buffet was good with heaps to choose from.

Situation : Superb location: only a five-minute walk to the city centre.
For NZD125 this represents excellent value. The rooms are spacious; the breakfast is good; and the location is excellent (very close to the city centre). Sudika, one of the managers, is extremely pleasant and helpful.

Beautiful old house
Publié le 12 nov. 2017 This B&B is in stately 100 year old plus home with lots of character and each room is finished on the decorating theme. Beautiful woodwork and 12 foot ceilings. Staff very accommodating and friendly. It is located only five minute walk to downtown core of Duneden.

A slip in service levels?
Publié le 23 oct. 2017 sur HotelsWaited over 30 minutes to check in as no one was in reception, the intercom didn't work and the contact phone number wasn't picked up. The person who rang us back an hour later when we were out at dinner tried to blame us for no one being at reception. I've stayed here 6 or 7 times before and never had any problems so hope it's a one off.

Les + : I guess the breakfast was ok It's a lovely old building with character .
Les - : Make sure the cat does not get shut in any rooms.
Situation : Very steep hill so you get plenty of exercise
My daughter picked up the key early as we were going to a family event. When we got back around 10.20 and opened the door a Ginger cat rushed out. It had poohed and wee all over the bed. I tried to clear it up but the bed smelt so bad it was impossible to sleep in so I slept in a chair. Not knowing Dunsdine, taxi service or where to go and stay. This is really bad. Then in the morning no hot water for a shower. We asked the lady doing breakfast and she said to go and find one upstairs. So we had to go in search of another shower having no idea where it was. Yes we did have a shower in the end. I phoned up about this but they don't care saying that the cat doesn't normally go in the bedrooms. Well the way the bed smelt I would be fairly certain that it's happened before!!

An oasis in Dunedin.

Our accommodation was excellent and the breakfast was generous and delicious.
We would stay there again. It is within spitting distance of the Octagon and is easily accessible on foot. An oasis, just far enough from the bustle of the heart of the city.
