L'hôtellerie au Royaume-Uni est loin d'être aux standards d'autres pays, surtout au vu des prix pratiqués, mais là j'ai trouvé un bel hôtel, confortable, chaleureux et un super accueil.

Une adresse convenable
Nous avions fait le choix du Double Tree car pour avoir séjourné dans autre établissement de la marque nous sommes globalement toujours satisfaits. Si l’hôtel, un beau bâtiment, est bien situé et facilement accessible (le parking est payant avec un tarif préférentiel de 7,50£ pour les résidents de l’hôtel) il nous a fait l’impression de manquer d’un petit coup de fraîcheur. C’est très certainement un ancien hôtel reconverti en Double Tree. De fait quelques éléments auraient mérités une meilleure attention : pas de service des boissons à table au petit déjeuner, manque d’explication sur les produits et pas assez de choix, quelques détails sur le ménage dans la chambre (pas de changement de verre, erreur sur les produits de salle de bain, coussins non rangés)… Peut-être des petits détails mais qui font la différence dans d’autres établissements Double Tree que nous avons déjà testé. Néanmoins nous avions une chambre King Deluxe très très spacieuse qui devait avoisiner les 40 m2. Une chambre à la déco standard mais très confortable et très propre. On regrettera le manque de luminosité (une seule petite fenêtre). Pour les deux nuits que nous avons passé à Stratford c’était bien. Mais je pense que pour un prochain séjour nous allons chercher une adresse différente peut-être avec plus de cachet.

Very nice property, a little off the centre of town but this makes it very quiet. Plenty of parking which is good for Stratford. Big clean rooms.

I stayed in a second floor room and couldn’t sleep for a low, rumbling noise coming into the room. After one of the night concierges confirmed there was a noise, I was relocated to a new ( quieter) room by the fab night crew but got FOUR hours sleep. Complained but no refund yet.

All good apart from Expedia somehow booked us a disability room !! Orthopedic beds , hard ,so not a good sleep. Queried with reception & they said did you book through Expedia !! Check your room out b4 moving in your luggage etc.

Very happy with our stay the only disappointment was from about seven in the morning noise came from the cleaning cupboard/ office which was in the same ground floor corridor as our room

We had a very strong smell coming from the bathroom and into the bedroom. Tried ringing reception after we got back to our room in the evening but no answer. Spoke to the receptionist in the morning and all she said was she would speak to housekeeping But we were leaving that morning Not happy

The hotel is showing its age and could do with a refit, especially in communal areas. Rooms are OK, but the quality doesn't meet the price point. Avoid the breakfast, its poor quality, limited choice, poor service and poorly stocked.

Disappointing
No hot water in the shower, people in next door playing Ed Sheeran very loudly very early in the morning, wallpaper peeling off the wall in the room, no bedside lamp. No fault of the staff at all, but the whole place was feeling quite run-down, and totally not worth the price.

Excellent location, parked the car at the hotel and walked everywhere we wanted to visit. Family room was very spacious, comfortable with lots of storage for bags and coats. Breakfast had a nice selection and the staff were all so welcoming and helpful. Will definitely come back for our next visit.

I stayed this hotel for one night on 14 Oct, everything was fine at the benning, since it was a bit cold on that day, so I turned on the a/c to 23 degree for heating up the room and it was really good to me and my wife for going to bed, however, when we were in deep sleep condition while we were waked up around 3 AM in the morning by a freezing temperature at 17 degree shown in the a/c controller. we finally could not go back to sleep even though we had adjusted the controller back to 23 degree. Very disappointed !
