The room was disgusting stains on the comforters blood stains on the pillows the smell was so intense I couldn’t even stay we just left and booked another room elsewhere would never recommend this hotel to anyone

Toilet tank needs an O-ring…sink doesn’t drain .. vanity lite is a strobe lite…maids don’t stock toilet paper…a/c unit sounds like it’s filled with leaves…but the bed was fine .. and no carpeting

Dirtiest room ive stayed in in a long time. Had to wipe down the chair because it had human scabs on it, the toilet was filthy, the knobs on the ac/heater were broken. Something was growing on the lamp, pretty sure it screamed at me. Some audacity to even think that this was fit for public use. Id be ashamed if I owned this

We never actually got to stay. There was a problem with their computer system and then a power outage and the system didn’t come back up. We waited in our car in the parking lot until about 1am when the clerk told us he could not pull up our booking nor give us a key… it was sad… and it was Christmas morning so we had to go sleep on the living room floor at a family member’s house nearby. Even though we booked the room weeks in advance. We also received no real follow up the next day or anything for our troubles. Also no other hotels in the area had a room available at 1am…

Not smoke free
They say they are 100% smoke free but as soon as I opened the door we were instantly hit with a Smokey smell and when we left the next day there were people smoking right outside their doors even though they say “there’s a 200$ fine for smoking in our directly outside your room”. And when we opened the restrooms door there was a lot of burgers on the wall cigarette ash on the door stopper (the bathroom had the worst smoke smell) and there was a red stain on the wood floor don’t know what it was but not great also the door has the thing were you can flip over and even if the door opens it won’t fully because it will stop the door but the thing that does that is broken off. The picture is of what I’m talking about.

There is a young white boy with curly hair who works the day shift, I got to my room and I didn't have towels, I went to the lobby and this boy told me that in 5 mit he would bring me the towels personally, I never received them, I went back to go 2 more times and he always told me the same thing, it's a big lack of respect, the next day I had to go again and the same boy was there and he told me that in 5 mit I would take them, I told him that he had told me the same thing the day before and he had never received them, he said again that he was carrying them, he never carried them either and when I went back at 5 mit this guy had already finished his shift,it's Disrespectful ,,,like WOW,,,, the only one who helped me was a very kind Hispanic girl,,the other is a child with no responsibility in his work, incompetent LACK OF RESPECT, HORRIBLE

I stayed at this inexpensive hotel for 5 days for work. The first room I got had a sink the dripped and and didn't drain plus the microwave didn't work. However, when I requested a different room, I got one one that was fine. The bed was very comfortable The area was safe and next to MacDonalds were i walked for coffee every morning. I would stay there again for the price

Watch out for bugs!!!
We planned a short trip to visit a few attractions in the area on a slim budget. The hotel definitely had the best rates and we weren't expecting much. We stayed three nights and on the first night, my daughter woke up with bug bites all over her. We informed the front office staff who didn't offer to move us to a different room or discount us some more.

The door to the room was open when we arrived. The bed was filthy, covered with other people's hair (and worse). There were no towels (although we probably would have felt dirtier trying to shower here). Thankfully the locks and lights worked. The area was also noisy with barking dogs and it reeked of cannabis. In other words, it lives up to the Red Roof reputation...

Okay for a quick overnight trip.
The woman at the front desk was super friendly, check in was simple and quick, the room was fairly easy to find although i did. have to walk around for a minute to find which building our number was at. The room itself looked clean when we walked in, the sheets were okay but the mattress itself was stained and pretty uncomfortable to lay on. The tv didn’t work for some reason and the dresser drawers did not pull out. There were outlets without covers on them and I found a few spiders on and around the bed which I do understand there’s not much to do about that. There was a towel shoved on top of the bathroom door when we got there, still not sure what the reason was on that, but overall it wasn’t the worst place I’ve ever stayed.

Room was dirty, dog food on the floor, floor looked dusty, sticky, washroom seemed it had not been cleaned at all. White Towels didn’t look clean either. Thankfully we just needed 5 hours to catch a quick sleep before heading back to Chicago. Never again. They need to out more effort in cleanup!

Awful, absolutely horrible smell. I immediately booked another accommodation. Smelt like lysol and mold. Room was dirty, floor was sticky, unsavory characters roaming the grounds, cobwebs, rusted lamps. I cannot stress enough how intolerable the stink was. And they wouldn’t even give me my money back….. don't stay here, ever.

Not luxurious, but clean and comfortable
As soon as I opened the door to my room, I was overwhelmed by the scent of Pine Sol, but the odor disappeared fairly quickly. The room was sparsely furnished with a king-size bed, a counter connected to a chest of drawers, and a TV. There were night tables on either side of the bed. I liked the reading lamp above the bed, which provided enough light to read by. The TV was fine, but the intro screen had instructions to press buttons that I couldn't find on the remote control. The bed linens and towels were clean, as was the bathroom. The room was serviceable for a short stay. Other guests were quiet while I was there. The Red Roof Inn doesn’t offer complimentary breakfast anymore, but it has a coffee maker in the office. There is also a McDonald's very close by. Guests can even walk there. The restaurant was still open after midnight.
