Rusty’s Bar & Grill was unexpected and equal to many high quality restaurants. Spacious, thoroughly clean rooms.

Lovely motel
Overall a lovely motel, in a gorgeous country town. The rooms were spacious, and the car parks are also large enough to comfortably fit a four wheel drive. The only issues / inconvenience we had were as follows: 1. We came back from Toowoomba early to have dinner at the motel restaurant “Rusty’s” and when we arrived at 7:30 were told the kitchen was closed, the guest directory advised that Saturday was open until 8:30, perhaps amend this so people can make alternate plans (it was too late at this point for us to head back into Toowoomba/town so we were unable to go out for dinner as a result). 2. If possible ask Cars to reverse into the parks as our son was woken up by glaring headlights coming through our window on three occasions during our stay (room 22). 3. We ordered the “fruit” for $4.90 with our breakfast and I expected a piece of fresh fruit or two to give to my son - it was a 50cent fruit cup. Apart from that we had a great stay and would return.

We don't encourage vehicle's to back in as the fumes get into the rooms and leave black marks on the walls outside.I did hear about your experience with dinner and have spoken to our staff about it, ensuring that this does not happen to you or anyone else.We look forward to having you stay again

Man on reception not friendly. Why were we put in a disabled room, when we are not disabled? There were plenty of other rooms. We won’t be back here.

Sorry to hear that. You did unfortunately book that room online. We do have 33 rooms, however they were all full

Lovely room, with the welcome morning sun warming and cheerfully lighting up my bedroom in the morning. (Not all rooms face east) Good heating & wi-fire. Spacious room. Desk with handy power points. Good bed, except for those hard, overly thick pillows. Fortunately there were more comfortable pillows in the cupboard. Pillows aside, the best motel for me this year.

Nice motel shame about the restaurant
We were staying at the motel so we thought we could eat in the restaurant for an easy night. The meal I ordered , veg lasagne, was unavailable so we ordered barramundi , vegetables and mash. It came out with salad and chips, not what I had ordered but as we had been driving all day I just thought I would just eat the fish but it was cold! Not a good time and we thought $82 was a bit steep for not getting the correct meal. The room, however, was great , no complaints there.

Hi Sheila, we are sorry your experience with us was not up to our normally high standards, without making excuses, the night you were in our Chef was off and we had a Temp in. Staffing in this industry at the moment is a challenge, however we strive to maintain our high standards. We do hope you come back and your next experience is and will be of high standard, once again we are very sorry and we take this onboard

Amazing gem
Staff were very friendly. Room was large, we liked the bed being separated from the lounge area & at the rear of the room. Restaurant was very good too.

Service when we arrived was fantastic. Beds were average. Double bed was not comfortable but singles bed was okay. Rooms are clean. Would be nice to have a table in the room that could seat 3.

Thanks for feedback. We have upgraded a lot of our rooms with new furniture including mattresses. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 this has been put on hold. At the moment you would have to upgrade to a bigger room to get a dining table
